Being a hopeless romantic made me 100% repellant to women on that level for the longest time. If you want respect from most other people.. they expect you to be in a relationship and that usually comes with sexual activity and will judge you by how successful you do in these areas. If you're ok being a hermit and being thought of as a loser, than it doesn't matter. For better or for worse, most people are very uncomfortable being thought of as lesser than others and most are naturally competitive. Such is life.

yep agreed. I did a triple antibiotic treatment to get rid of a pylori infection and it left me with chronic functional dyspepsia. TLDR. Its a burning feeling in your stomach with no known causes. this effectively reduced my sex drive. Not outright kill it but enough so I can think with a clear head. I can literally get by through porn or a rub every now and then. Pain truly puts thing into perspective. It forces it. Turns out the worst part of sex is the post nut clarity you get afterwards. the tiredness. The clean up. Most importantly, its very unproductive. Time just goes by and its like you become slothful. The reason that you were able to escape the usual pattern was because you weren't pressured into marrying gozangas girl during the stage where you were still entranced by the amazing sex, either by her or by everyone around you as would have been the case in an earlier era. Interesting, I had a very similar experience. From mid 20s into 30s I had a relationship with a red head who was amazing in bed, but also mentally ill with all kinds of issues, mostly stayed with her due to the amazing 'bed time fun'. Being a hopeless romantic made me 100% repellant to women on that level for the longest time. I finally had a six-year stint of good sex between 25 and 31, once I had my fair share it dawned on me how much time I wasted being depressed over not being able to acquire it. If you want respect from most other people.. they expect you to be in a relationship and that usually comes with sexual activity and will judge you by how successful you do in these areas. Interesting, I had a very similar experience. From mid 20s into 30s I had a relationship with a red head who was amazing in bed, but also mentally ill with all kinds of issues, mostly stayed with her due to the amazing 'bed time fun'.
