Is this the best Speedmaster yet? NEW OMEGA White dial Speedmaster 310.30.42.50.04.001

The answer to the question of this video title is…yes! This is the best regular OMEGA Speedmaster to date. When I went to OMEGA HQ last year in Bien/Biel, I was asked what one watch would I like to see be made, and I wearing my Tokyo panda dial edition, I said: "an all-white dial Speedmaster". Now, this is not exactly what I asked for. I would have preferred this to have been monochromatic, but this is very close to being perfect for me.
This watch was 'strategically leaked' well ahead of its official launch at the end of last year on the wrist of James Bond actor Daniel Craig at an event. Since then, speculation of a white non-previous metal Speedie has been rife, and much excitement followed. I'm therefore super pleased to introduce this watch into my collection so soon.
For many, this is a slightly tweaked version of a regular sapphire sandwich Speedmaster. It has the same stainless steel case and OMEGA Calibre 3861 Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement. The same new streamlined bracelet, recently upgraded to include a one-step comfort-adjustment. The only real difference is the dial, but wow, what a difference.
Instead of the usual matt and textured black dial, we have this gorgeous white glossy lacquered dial, retaining its Moonwatch steps for the sub-dials. This adds a much more dressy look to the watch, and stands out from the past silver dials found on the previously mentioned panda, or for example the latest Silver Snoopy. The dial also sports black polished applied indices, matching the hands and the applied OMEGA logo - usually only seen on limited editions.
The red accents have been retained, and are supposed to be a nod to the past Alaska project variances, but it looks like this has been kept to distinguish this version from the all white gold version that had previously been released.
If you are not familiar with the current generation of Speedmasters, they wear incredibly well for a 42mm case. Just over 13mm in height to the boxed-domed sapphire crystal, and with a sapphire crystal on the back showing of the very good looking, though industrially finished movement.
