I’m not waiting 2 years! I wanna get them while their hot fresh out of the oven! I could get the originals on eBay for a slightly reduced price. But I thinking future here. If a smoke detector goes off it will notify you on your phone even if your not home. I like that feature.
Finally, you made it back… you don’t even know how much potential you have. Please don’t stop this time, you have the personality that a lot of tech reviewers are missing. Keep up the good work.
We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ruclips.net/user/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
So happy you are back man! You were missed by many! I can only imagine how much bigger your channel could’ve been if you stayed consistent the last 2 years.
Your original home pod videos were what convinced me to get a stereo pair. I’ve never looked back and they still sound amazing. You also got me into Dr disrespect, never heard of him before you played his songs. So happy your posting again!
I noticed that after several minutes (15 or so) mine started to sound WAY better. Then after several hours of playback over 24 hours, they sounded *even* better. Like other commenters, I’d love to see how you think they compare after some more time goes by with them in the same placement, so they can get a reeeeeeally good sense of the room!
For the next tests, would be great to wait the calibration of the sound for the V2 (I heard it may take some minutes) And would be great to keep the same distance between the 2 stereos HomePod (more than 1,2m)
It’s lovely to see you back with the HomePods! I adore my stereo pair and regularly play it with a Logitech 2.1 system via AirPort Express. I had a JBL sub that died before it. AirPort Express + HomePod stereo pair is a great combo.
I kept hoping you weren’t gone for good from RUclips over the last two years but my prayers have been answered. So glad you’re back on the scene! 100% keeping my OG HomePods.
Awesome 🎉🎉🎉 Elijah😀 you are back💪 I miss your great sense of humor, I always have enjoyed your videos because you have a great personality who has made me laugh a lot of times, so don’t stop. When I started my channel you are one of the persons who inspired me in this journey, don’t stop. I look forward to seeing more videos from you👍 thank you.
I just got the new set in. I feel like the old set has deeper bass at lower volumes. I also think the minis have much better and clearer vocals for use as TV speakers. The large ones are definitely better for movies and music, but for regular TV viewing, the minis vocals are way clearer.
I was listening to this with first Gen AirPods Pro and even then I can honestly saw you’re right that the original HomePods stereo pair does sound just a tiny bit better. Of course I have the two HomePods mini and this are fine by me for all I actually care
Love that you are back! Thanks for your thoughts and insights. Never seen a man who can say as much as you do just with facial expressions. Thanks man!
I have been waiting for you for two years. And, after watching this video,.... it was worth it every second. WELCOME BACK!!! Don't ever leave us again, please.
Give em the love….tonite. Good to see you back man. Just one point I would imagine it will take a little while for the new speakers to be at they’re best there’s usually a break in period for new speakers.
As someone who uses high end studio monitors for production work, I never found the OG HomePods to be balanced at all. They always sounded overly boomy, especially with electronic music. The new ones have much clearer highs and upper mids, with more balanced bass.
Would like to hear you test both with audio directly from Apple Music. This should play higher quality music that is mixed specifically for the HomePods
happy new year erfon !!! where you been man? so great to see you on here again your original video of stereo pair HomePods cannot be beaten imho was so funny and informative I really cannot wait for more !!!
14:30 I do this with two HomePod minis in the back, and for shows it envelops you in the sound, not surround sound, but still fun. Although it gets glitchy when you pause shows, and unpause and the front HomePods stay muted. It’s fidgety to say the least.
iv done dual stereo setup with 4 OG HomePods Great for Music im still undecided about home theater wise Tho. I seem to get bass cancelation instead of bass multiplication but ill love to see what happens when Erfon Elijah does his tests
😃 So strange… JUST yesterday I googled “what happened to youtuber Erfon Elijah?”, as I really have missed your videos and the charming way you present content. A BIG welcome back 🤗😃
Dude, I've been looking for you every several months, going what happened to my homepods and anything apple sound guy? Welcome back. Hearing where you have been would be cool too. I'm glad you're not dead or seriously injured... as if stepping away from RUclips means that... lol.
I was so excited to see that your channel had come up telling me you had new video! I love your channel and what you do! I did check last year and a couple weeks ago to see if you had posted a video and sadden, so I am happy to see your back and look forward seeing your video. You bring such character / humor to your videos and alway love watch them! I hope your back and not going anywhere looking forward to watching video! Keep up the fantastic job!
Awesome to have you back! I've been waiting for you to do this review and looking forward to your future ones. I hope your new HomePods improve over time and eventually score an A rating. I'm looking at buying Atmos TV speakers in June, and I'm thinking either the new HomePods or Sonos.
LOVE THAT SHIRT! Such an underrated film. But yeah, the rest of the video is helpful, too, but it's hard to know how subjective this stuff is and who I should believe. I've seen several other more technical videos from other people saying the bass is not quite as thumpy on the new ones but the clarity on the high end is significantly improved. Idk. In any case, I'm really curious to hear more thoughts regarding Dolby Atmos performance with music and especially in a home theater setup.
@@ErfonElijah The thing about the HomePods as TV speakers is I just don't get consistent audio sync :( I LOVE the sound of the stereo pair, but the audio just gets out of sync too often and I can't figure out any consistent fix (this happens whether I'm the eARC feature or simply using them as speakers with my Apple TV). All that to say... do YOU not have these issues? And if you do, what do you do about them? Maybe you could do a video about that... :) (To bring it back full circle to your shirt, we were actually trying to watch Star Trek III (in glorious 4k HDR) over the weekend with the HomePods as speakers, and after a few minutes in I had to give up and switch back to my old wired speakers. I should say I'm using the OG HomePods and the 2nd gen Apple TV 4k, so not exactly the latest, but if I'm having so many issues on these, I'm not about to shell out $600 for new HomePods and another $150 for the new Apple TV and very likely end up with the same issues)

Welcome back and yes, please let us know where you have been. As for the HomePods, I am of the camp that they really sound the same. The same warm sound and deep bass, even at low volume. The selling point for me is reliability. The old ones would sometimes brick, if you read HomePod forums. I have four originals and one bricked. So I have an old stereo pair in the bedroom with the unpaired one as back up now. The new HomePods are my main pair in the den. Love them all, but the new ones won’t brick with the updated electronics and chip set. Welcome back!
After having viewed your homepod videos countless times during the last 2 years (really!), I enjoyed this new gen2 video with wide smile on my face... WELCOME BACK ERFON!!!! Thank you for your review, I used my 2 OG homepod for this video and I heard that OGs' sound is noticeably smoother, more sophisticated than the 2nd gens'. I also love my stereo pair and at least the world must be collapsed to make me sell them. Nevertheless I am also happy knowing that the homepods are on the market again.... and also happy that Erfon is back again! I can hardly wait for new contents Erfon! Thank you again!!!
love the videos and great comedic talent! I have a 6-homepod setup going for jammin out and its pretty sweet, although controlling music with 6 homepods playing at the same time can be kind of laggy.

My mannnnnn glad to see your back. 😊 Before the V2 came out. I had 2 sets of HomePod minis in stereo pairs for my living room sounded amazing. I can’t imagine TWO sets of V2 stereo Pairs wowwwwwww I might have to buy two more V2 to try it out 😂 hood to have you back sir!!! Can’t wait for more content. #ChampionsClub #SlickDaddyClub
I loved your review as I have only recently bought two used v1s and set them up as a stereo pair. Then, the v2 launched and I began to worry that the great sounding v1s were obsolete duds. I wish to believe that their sound is already great enough and the added cost of the newer ones is insufficient motive to upgrade. Finally, I have been toying with your final thought on setting up two stereo pairs of v1s in the same listening area. Did you try it? Was it worth it? Any additional advice would be appreciated. Subbed and looking forward to reviewing past & future posts! Though I didn’t know I missed you, I’m so happy you are back.

6:45 You are correct. The V1 pods had rock solid control of low end that enhanced the insane clarity / accuracy / balance of the mid-high range.
V2 was more bassy. V1 did sound brighter and cleaner. Great review Erfon! Love your content
