We have very rocky soil and have been doing container gardening on top of a mulch bed. Over these years of doing this the mulch has broke down and is actually looking like nice soil. We were thinking to plant in it this year but it starting getting weeds last year. So thinking if we plant in the ground we need to do something about the weeds. It’s probably too late to try this technique this year but hoping to try this in the fall

Actually we put our first beds in last APRIL! I looked up the receipts last weekend when we were working on taxes. Go for it!
