Awww thank you! From a Baltimorean. I'm in downtown and it's oddly calm here. I think everyone is just relieved this disaster didn't happen in the middle of the day or during rush hour. I am personally hoping that there wouldn't be too many casualties. One is more than enough! 😥 This is definitely a tragedy. But once they've done rescue and recovery then the major thing it affects is the traffic which I hope everyone can adjust to. Other than that, it's really the casualties that we are concerned about. Hope not too many and they are found! Sadly I don't think anyone can survive a fall into the Patapsco River. 😰

Most survivors are located and removed from the situation within the first few minutes.
It’s nice to have words of encouragement and try and help people keep the faith and their hopes up but, unfortunately most died within minutes if not immediately.
The media and public information officers unfortunately cannot report what they already know.

Governor Wes Moore is a sage, it is fortunately we have his chief skill and wisdom handling this situation in Maryland. The situation is bad, but I am thankful for the specific governor
Let's go ahead and invest in hemp biofuel now, including a law making it the mandatory fuel (any biofuel, all of which are fully biodegradable if spilled, not exclusively hemp biofuel but it will be available) for all ships exiting Maryland ports, this ensures us against environmental damage should there be the rare spill and it gives the biodiesel producing community a stable income aside from the money they are generating from being used by Montgomery county rideon buses.
I am glad that the omens are pressing the United States government to explore full capacity of the possible uses of hemp including fuel, lumber substitute, and textile.
It is a shame that the Francis Scott Key Bridge fell, however we must also give gratitude that a much larger problem didn't occur because of an oil spill! In a sense we are very lucky still, but it is the time to make precautions for the future and start a trend that other nations and ports of the USA will follow with a mandatory biofuel requirement, biofuel runs in all motors the normal fossil fuels run in.

The power failed on the ship. An expert came on and esplained what happened when the ship lost power and, subsequently control. The person who came on and explained gave us more well-reasoned info in ten minutes than any TV stations or government officials.

We now know that the "Key" bridge was vulnerable to any fracture, which would cause the entire bridge to collapse. Over the previous several decades, cargo ships have gotten many time bigger and heavier, and any one of them was capable of "fracturing" the "key" bridge if it failed to negotiate the opening under the bridge, which hadn't been made any larger since the bridge was built. No worries, an emergency procedure had been established to give warning in the event of a mishap, and we all see how well that worked. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttegieg couldn't elaborate on the accident, and was too busy giving "thoughts and prayers". He referred the media to the director of the NTSB, who said this is not the time as we are busy giving "thoughts and prayers". This reaffirms what I have heard about Pete, that he is a really sweet guy. It also confirms what I've heard about the Biden administration....total incompetence. Just imagine what it's going to be like when nuclear missiles begin falling on American infrastructure, which means we should escalate the tension on the Korean peninsula, Eastern Europe, and Middle East and just get it all over with.
