As far as raising kids and teaching them systems, you won’t see that until they are parents. It’s surprising when it happens. When disciplining my daughter as a child I would call her “little miss”. When I heard her call her son “little mister” one day I almost passed out!
I'm 21 and the eldest of 5 with the youngest being almost 2 and I've found myself saying the exact same things my mum said to me as a kid verbatim to my younger siblings. I even said I don't care who started it I'm finishing it to two of them the other day lol.

The house I grew up in had a shower window, and it was great. Taking a hot shower with the window open and having cold air breeze through the window was sublime.
That's funny, as a child I always hated the cold air ruining my hot shower!

Literally the topic of Link's shower window was what got me hooked on this podcast
About the glass thing, my mom always had us rinse the glass after drinking out of it, and leave it on the kitchen table or corner counter to drink out of during the day. And we always wash dishes after lunch and dinner, so the glass gets properly washed atleast twice during the day. To avoid drinking out of each other's glasses, we just put them in different corners of the counter, or at our specific spots on the table.
If there were more brief french kissing episodes throughout the week I bet there would be mail sorting more often. 😄

My Tito y Tita (Grandparents) always had that Nesquik Chocolate and the Nesquik Fresa powder. For some reason the powder they had was always about half way filled in the container, never ran out, and tasted better than any other powder or syrup since.

In regards to the glasses argument we solved that in my house by everyone has their own water bottle, similar to what link said, for water only. Either you can bring it around with you or keep if filled in the fridge. Then glasses are only used for other beverages which we really only have with breakfast or lunch but we mostly just drink water

With the car seat thing, I get that it can be painful on the knees to get into a car that you don't fit, but if it's shared at work, people should know to check before they get in, not just expect 1 person to always accommodate everyone else, unless people change the seat to fit her, which they won't because they'll say everyone else can use it in the "default" position.

Arguments are a disagreement between two parties. Stubborn or immature people might forget the fact that your in a mutual relationship. Where your goal is to come to an positive agreement.
If you find yourself in a relationship where is seems it becomes a negative game of both parties trying to win.. simply forgetting the fact of your in it together for love and positive growth. So many complications come with a relationship but please don't forget the reasons you got together. Show love when you can and keep an honest and open line of communication because that's what a healthy relationship is built on. YOU CAN DO IT. STEP OUT OF YOUR NORMAL TRAIN OF THOUGHT. Try something physical when you start a conversation. Splash each other's face with water smile genuinely at each other in silence hug and ask whats on your mind to the party at the exact same time. CREAMY CROCKPOT HOT COCOA BEST EVER!
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 cups whipping cream
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
6 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups of chocolate chips (milk chocolate OR semi-sweet depending on how sweet you like it.)
DIRECTIONS:
Stir together the whipping cream, milk, vanilla, and chocolate chips in a crockpot.
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted. Stir again before serving. Garnish as desired.
This might be my favorite EB ever. That pigeon story is so up my alley.

Nesquik absolutely. My southern grandma got me hooked son. That chocolate syrup was just to Rich for me afterward. Both are very very easy though but you can leave more residue with the syrup so idk. Nesquik for me. Getting that ratio is key

As someone who is 5' and regularly drives vehicles other than my own, I have words regarding the seat position conversation. If they don't move the seat forward for you, then you really don't need to extend the same courtesy. They're probably going to have to adjust everything when they get in regardless and if they're genuinely going to complain about it then stuff them. If the vehicle were their own personal vehicle then I'd say yes, move the seat back. I have a very specific method when I drive another vehicle that allows me to put the seat back in almost the exact position it was originally in, but they're also personal vehicles. At *most* I'd shove the seat ALL the way back at the end of my shift. But I'm passive aggressive and petty.

Slats go down! It blocks the light. With the slats up, it makes the room brighter cuz the slats direct the light up to the ceiling. If you have light coming through with the slats going down, then the blinds were installed too far out from the window.
I guess you could say that Shepard's...pigeonholed himself into this situation
Link. Group riding is much more dangerous than riding alone. If one person makes a mistake and/or fall that can affect the entire group.

After I was in my wreck as a passenger on a motorcycle, my dad never rode a motorcycle, again. He had two, and I was paralyzed from the wreck with my high school first love. I didn't think about how much it had an affect on him, too. I, actually, didn't think about anyone because I was okay with it. Just a positive person. I worry more about what I can't control.
Gotta say I liked this vid just because of Rhett's explanation of the mutual mouth culture developed with a significant other, and all the other shenanigans that lead to in the conversation.

I always rinse my toothbrush with hot water before and after brushing. The bristles get nicer when they're warm. For context, I live in a country with clean water (hot as well). I know in some places they don't recommend using hot water because it can contain some residue or something from the pipes.

I was in the situation as a kid where if I didn't wash my dish after using it (no dishwasher) I would have stuff taken from me. Consequences for not doing what you're supposed to do. Worked for me.
On the blinds slat issue - it depends on the angle of the potential peepers. I don’t think I have any intentional peepers, but for my bedroom window, there are people who live on a hill above me. So I turn the slats up to block their view and I can still get light. But the yard is slightly lower the the house on that side, so on the day the landscaping crew comes, and they could potentially see UP the slats, I turn the slats down.

Something for the motorcycle argument, multiple company's make an airbag vest that goes off if you get in a crash and it DRASTICALLY decreases the chances of being seriously injured or killed, I always where one when I go on longer rides and at highway speeds etc. etc.

my take on the glass thing as a 19 yo living in a 5 people household.
i have a designated glass that no other people in my family use (note that no one in the fam have a personal glass and all of the glass are the same model) when it gets to the point of the day where i feel like its been used too many times therefore is dirty but I'm too lazy to wash them, i would leave this glass inside my room until i'm ready to wash them. And then i will get another glass and i will never leave them out in common areas if i feel like im not done with the glass unless I'm will be in that area for a long time therefore i know that glass is my glass

On the water glass situation, Link has the right idea there. If there are consequences to always using new glasses every time they drink, they’d stop doing that. Also, as Link said, insulated water bottles are the answer. They keep your water cold, you don’t have to use glasses, and you’re reminded to drink water. Win win.
