This is a great time to play Titanfall 2 as multiplayer numbers on PC have jumped up a few thousand. Titanfall is like a comatose patient who is believed to have died but keeps showing faint signs of life every now and then so doctors can't pull the plug yet.

@@Kero-zc5tcthat's the biggest complaint I hear. I'm a G21 & I've always told ppl to play the campaign 1st & then get into multiplayer. The more you play the better you get. It is 100% worth sticking it out. Also setup the advanced controls, there's dedicated videos on it & check out videos on some of the tactics & strats for various titans, tacticals, etc...
We all got our ass handed to us in multi when we 1st started lol. Just wish more would stick it out cause the experience is like no other game I've tried.
@@BiblicallyAccurateToaster I already did all that, tbh air strafing is enough for most people in terms of movement. I’m not asking for help, I’ve played on multiple platforms and have my key binds etc set up. I never used to but now I’ve started learning to cook frags and throw them while moving and it is incredibly easy to get kills (obv set it to a button that you can press while pressing wasd like a mouse side button)
Lack of stickiness could be the high skill ceiling of Titanfall movement in a genre that caters more towards casual audiences
I think you're correct and honestly titan phase of attrition, if players don't know how to use their titan or work with their team, it's easy to get snowballed
yeah I think playing the game while everyone was new at launch was a totally different experience

Plus there’s no way to get more casual lobbies as far as I’m aware, unfortunately it also makes resurgences bad because all the current players are g100

Man, Titanfall 2 is my favourite fps by far. I can see why most people don’t stick around. Like most casuals dropping from maybe some “Boots on the Ground” experience, get easily overwhelmed. For us Veteran Pilots, the new guys are like bots and super easy to kill. But when you stick with it and get good, you’ll soon realize why Titanfall 2 is the True King of FPS.

Me too! Just purchased it on Steam and finished the Campaign. Just played my first multiplayer match. Only got 7 kills 😂 It was super fun though.

One of the greatest feelings is running circles around a titan with the grenade launcher anti titan weapon, and fighting it like a mini boss

I missed an entire gen of gaming and picked it back up again with the ps5. I guess a pro of this is I get to experiences a back catalogue of games but a con is I’ve missed a few highly rated games’ online mode at their peak. Just bought this for £1 and already finished the story mode!! Gonna jump online before I miss this resurgence!!
Im going to say it. Sticky games tend to be the most milktoast, middle of the road, built for the lowest common denominator games. Why? Cause they have the broadest appeal to the most people with the lowest skill ceilings. Where as games with a more niche appeal with higher skill ceilings have a very small population even from the word go and when you loose from that already small pool you get VERY small pools of hardcore players.

This and Battlefront 2 are games I randomly come back to because they’re so damn good at their core with small but consistent playerbases. Both deserve GOOD sequels very badly.

I think TF2 wouldve been stickier with a more fullfilling reward system, more maps, titans, game modes and honestly-it could've definatly used another awesome chill PVE mode like Frontier Defense but different.
this game is still on the cutting edge of FPS history. The list of games with a higher quality play experience than titanfall 2 is very very small. I hope the developers are proud of the work and accomplishment the titanfall series brought them and I hope it never dies.
So I have a question or two. Does this game have things like clans & discord servers, do people play with live comms? Is there a knowledge base where i can find weapon stats (the game War Robots has WR Wiki). Cheers 🙂

i bought the game but doesnt let me play multiplayer(got game on steam). The multiplayer tab says origins is offline, does anyone know how to fix.
its always great to see your "yo Titanfall is popping off again" vids but wanted to touch on your point about why Titanfall's "stickiness" is less than apex's i think it really just boils down to Apex being an easier play than Titanfall... to put it another way id put titan fall with like split gate.. great high skill games but if you're new... OOF your gonna have a tough time... where Apex id say is more like a COD... regardless if its BR or Mixtape modes you can always know what the game is gonna throw at you and the learning curve isnt as steep... i think titanfall has 3 or 4 big mini games i.e pilot gameplay, titan gameplay, map mode selection and even how weapons and gadgets all impact that flow aswell. its alot to keep up with especially for newer players whereas you dont really have that as much in apex its more like... "hmmm BR, ok lemme pick a character.. oh they look cool.. then survive/fight, oh i died or won... ok game over next game LOL... shoot with all the stuff in Titanfall i feel like im playing League or Smite sometimes lol... and im not gonna lie when i would play titanfall id usually just play pilot vs pilot waaaaay easier time IMO... great vid!!
Thank you and VERY VERY WELL said. I loved that you mentioned smite and league, because in a lot of ways I feel like the Titan phase of Attrition is like that, each Titan has it's own strengths and weakenesses in matchups and you have to know how to react/play to succeed. Again thanks!

I just finished the Titanfall 2 campaign. One of the best campaigns I've played. I just started playing multiplayer this morning. OMG why is this game so fun? Wish I wasn't so late to the party 😂 Glad people are still playing.
I was late to the party even when I first picked it up in 2018, but it's one of the best FPS games of all time in reality. I can go pretty beastly most of the time lol
Thisnis hilarious bc i literally seen titanfall 2 im store a few days ago for 2 dollars. I forgot about Titanfall till then and said fuck it and bought even tho i didn't know if kd be able to find a game bc its old, or if id have to deal with hackers. Im glad i got it bc its all ive been playing the last 3 days after work lol. I miss the days when the first Titanfall came out, that was a good time for gaming back then.
Man, kinda wish this game came out at a different date. It came out at the absolute WORST time and that's why it didn't take off and EA/Respawn abandoned it (besides bringing servers back up). Criminal this game didn't take off, excellent concept. Been obsessed with it for months.
I really hope if titamfall 3 comes out it doesn't come out the same way as tf2 with the new cod with hopfully better zombies, this game is beautiful

Definitely still playable, the daily peak concurrents on Steam is like 4.5k so more than enough for good attrition lobbies and not bad search times

Big reason why this absolute masterpeace of game cant gold players is:
-Nowdays lot of players are competitive crybabies who just cant stand that someone is better than them ("oh i played shooters before imma rock in this game too haaa") and they just bail out when get stopmed and type shit game in disscusions, also in Titan Fall 2 u dont have any competitive ranking sys and other competitive toxic stuff, that being said, in there mind ("i cant grind for nothing, game dosent have ranking sys or leaderboards to see that im good why i will play"), these days lot of games are not played cuz its fun, but just because people are trying to be prove themselfs "im the better than others".... its quite sad tho
I feel like players would stick with this game and play way more if there was better gun, pilot, and titan customization. Its really basic and nothing is wrong with it, but having like twice the amount of guns and actual attachments like lasers, foregrips as well as alot more scopes and red dots would help alot.
Not gonna lie, titan fall 2 is pretty much the game for players who seek emphasized skills mechanics rather than mobile games like war robots which is pay 2 win, love titan fall 2 :D

This gem of a game is cheaper than most kinds of coffee. Go buy this game even if you don’t have a machine to play it on. Even if you are homeless, Titanfall 2 will be by your side in your toughest moments.

@@BBKDRAGOON explain how to use alternator. I can never land my shots with it. The only reliable weapon that i can use is car. Everything else has a huge recoil issue or is too impractical to use.
@@QraixSaiko tap fire, use only hipfire (don't ads), use your right stick (or mouse) to get your crosshair close to the target, use your left stick (or wasd) to trace and follow
It's a shame that all the major TF2 content creators stopped uploading when the servers were being DDOS'ed. I think content creators on platforms like youtube and twitch can play a huge role in keeping a game alive

I know there are some fixes listed online about this, never ran into myself so I'm not sure
the problem is all the super sweaty TF2 vets will trounce the new players who will have an awful time and ditch the game. This happens to me when its get close to happy hour. TF multiplayer is very limited in what you can do with the meta being run around on wall hip firing with smgs making most of the other equipment worthless.
It sucks when you have low hp and get punched by a bot
the skill ceiling is so high the veterans stomp the new players and send them back to apex n fortnite. Vicious cycle.
You just have to practice. I started playing recently and I'm already moving up on the scoreboard because I've been practicing.

3:45 the utility for legion is mode switch which changes from close range to long range and if you use it again it changes from long range to close range so if you need to fight somebody long range use mode switch

This game makes me feel very overwhelmed just by watching the footage and actually reminds me of why i disliked bo3 and advanced/infinite warfare.
It is a lot for sure, but what's nice is you can play pretty mellow and stay boots on the ground and still do really well

let it show, people want another game like titan fall 2...I don't think it will have the same impact or execution if it were greenlit thought. EA would probably ruin the game with MTX to the point of reaching COD levels of immersion breaking.
I think a Titanfall 3 would be so legit, but I also get that EA is risk averse right now and Apex/live service behemoths is their current strategy
Also titanfall has a resurgence thanks to the massive hacking on Apex legends a couple of days ago , so some people come up with the idea in order to save titanfall 2 apex needs to die

You know how I know Titanfall 2 is still alive? I made a reference to Jack Cooper on a completely unrelated video about a vtuber answering questions.
Fairly innocuous, except for ONE passing comment she made "Every Model needs a great Pilot!" And lo and behold my fixation had all the ammo it needed to make a reference in the comments.
As of writing, that comment I made has over 2k likes and 30 replies, all people who hold this game so near and dear that even the slightest reference to it is enough for them to rally and come together.
