Hey everyone! I want to make a note about something I was incorrect about. Charging Ion's laser shot DOES NOT increase damage. Although it is great for goosing pilots and is my favorite hitscan pilot deletion tool!

@@cactustwizz1845Nah, Ion is one of the best titans in the game. The main thing players dont get, ions recource is time. You can beat any titan (besides maybe an equally skilled ronin) in a 1v1, assuming you run her tripwire kit and play time. You just poke and peak with lasershots and shield, use traps to punish pushing and continuesly run like a bitch. And since your lasershot is a hitscan you can outpeek northstars consistently. Tone? Again play time, once that shield is down hit some lasers, block the rockets and repeat. Scorch just gets bullied because he cant keep up. Monarch gets poked like a tone would and and his whole kit gets shut down by ions shield. Same goes for legion, just that you should treat him like a tone and wait out the shield. And with ronin it really comes down to mindgaming his shots and trying to hit bursty damage in the for of lasershots and traps when his swordblock is down, tho a ronin will most of the time take away the win as long as the fight starts in decently close quarters and the ion cant get a ton of lasershots of beforhand. Ions power doesnt lie in high damage or health, it lies in the sheer amount of time you waste for enemys and given you dont gets pinched you can shut doen any titan. Also, pulverising pilots from any range is kinda nuts aswell.

@@battel_bruser3928 it was supposed to be very basic explanations of each. But as a G87 North Star main I can guarantee you that you will never kill a good north star with legion. A good north star will always reposition as soon as they become the main target.

Hello, I have a G17 Scorch and wanna chime in with my takes on the titan.
While he may be the hardest titan to play, he's far from a hard thing to use in the wider fps context. I struggle more when using a Kraber than the thermite launcher, and the Kraber is my most used weapon by far.
The thing with scorch is that unless you can directly outplay or surprise an enemy, you're toast. Basically the only counterplay a Scorch has vs a mid-long range Northstar or Tone is to predict when the titan will peek out from cover. Since the vast majority of fps players will peek corners almost rhythmically, dipping in and out for the same amount of time every time, this can be surprisingly easy. Same counterplay applied to pilots trying to anti-titan weapon you. But, if these players realise you're predicting their peeks they can either adapt their timings, or just stop peeking.
A Scorch, when played well, can dominate a lobby. A lobby that doesn't know any better. Scorch is only ever as good as you let him be. He does have some bs plays, flushing pilots out of a room with a trap + shot, etc.
A good scorch can destroy and titan or pilot thrown at them. Unless that titan or pilot is sentient, and willing to pay attention to and disable the scorch. However, if people don't wanna learn, a good scorch can farm lobbies faster than you imagine.
To close off, here's some random notes about scorch.
You can animation cancel the reload with the flame shield.
If you back up into a wall, look up, and hold flame shield, any pilot that just finishes a rodeo will be immediately killed.
Scorch can snipe if you're comfortable with the weapon. Mid range maps like Blackwater are some of my favourites.
Scorch can pop flame core right before nuke ejecting and get both off. This funny animation cancel can decimate titan HP.
Pilots often do not respect a Scorch. They will assume you will miss. If you get comfy with his gun, pilots will begin to donate kills to you. Also use flame shield as a melee alternative vs pilots

I feel that you missed out on how insanely good Northstar's cluster missile is for clearing out enemy pilots hiding in buildings, especially in hardpoint or bounty hunt.
As for Tone, my problem with it is just how much low risk high reward it is. I feel like it's easier to use than Monarch, because with Monarch, you need to survive long enough to become unkillable, where as Tone just does so much damage overtime that it doesn't need to survive that long to be effective. Plus it's 40mm is just the best pilot killing weapon out of any titan.

Hidden compartment makes Legion way scarier to fight up close. Hitting both shotgun sneezes is enough to out damage just about anything except a Ronin’s core or a Scorch giving you a hug. It’s also harder to shoot around his gun shield as long as the pilot keeps facing toward you

Legion is great if you want to kill pilots and support your team. Say you have a friendly titan who is in a bad position in between two titans and its nearly doomed, you can dash in front of them with a gumshield and just drain the health of the enemy titans until they retreat or are destroyed. This works especially well with smartcore. Problem with being a legion main is that you have to be willing to sacrifice your titan to the team. All in all, good for winning and score farming, but okay with getting titan kills.

As a Scorch main, i can definitely say that Scorch is one of the hardest Titan for people to play, but arguably the best for a player that's good at him. When i call in my Scorch, no Pilot can get much damage on me, and no Titans can get an upper hand on me. He's crazy good if you are really dedicated to him.

  • @DrCaesarMD

As an Ion main, ion is EASILY S-Tier and she isn't as newbie-focused as you seem to think. Her kit is simple to understand, but mastering energy management gives her significant reward for skilled play. A skilled Ion has an answer for literally every single titan in the game and most titans have no good answer for her. Close range combat titans are probably her biggest threat, but if you're good at mindgames, Ion invalidates Ronin's shotgun completely, and due to Ronins short firing duration, you don't have to use much charge to do so, leaving you with PLENTY of power to laser shot him when he lowers block. Not to mention throwing down the tripwire when he's already in melee range means he can't just shoot it - it'll go active on top of him.
She also is great in medium and long range due to her ability to snipe with laser shot at absolutely any range - She's a better sniper than even northstar imo. The only thing Ion has no answer for, is if she rounds a corner and runs into a scorch, being unable to get away due to having only one dash.
Also, Ion's laser gains absolutely no benefit from charging. It's the same damage no matter how long you hold it.
I really think you vastly underestimate Ion, mostly because you don't play her much. She is not just versatile, but DOMINANT in almost ALL situations, capable of invalidating enemy titans offenses with vortex staggering, while outdamaging them with close range tripwires and well timed laser shots to weak points. I strongly believe she is the most powerful titan in the game, even outstripping Monarch.

Ion relies heavily on energy management and the predator minigun forces Ion to either waste a bunch of energy to not get sprayed down by it or try to out-dps it, which doesn't go well a lot of the time. It really just comes down to being able to outlast Ion, which isn't easy but it still very much is possible

Most people focus on getting in close and unleashing hell, i play him like a discount northstar, i give him the thermite launcher upgrade and sit long range hitting long distance shot and taking a nice chunk of damage from the improved launcher damage. It's really funny hitting someone and ducking behind cover only to watch them look around trying to figure out where the scorch that hit them is. I don't focus on flame shield. I find if i rely on it too much for damage output I end up rushing into situations that get me killed, so I mostly save it for if I manage to sneak up behind someone. I tend to live longer on maps like homestead than other scorch mains tend to report.
I tend to mostly be more of a bane upon pilots in my lobbies than titans there is nothing more satisfying than hitting that guy who's standing completely still shooting at you with his AT weapon probably thinking to himself "There's no way the scorch can hit me from here!"
I am no where near amazing at playing him! but I am improving every day and that improvement on the titan people like to tote around as the "Hardest titan to use" makes it worth it to me! even if every cool shot i make is followed up by me getting bullied by legions and monarchs

The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a quick building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.
    Strategy
When he is jumping over the river, he cannot be targeted by any ground attacking units. The Log and Earthquake will fail to damage a Hog Rider while he is jumping. Air troops can still attack him though, and the Inferno Tower and Inferno Dragon will continue to ramp up their damage.
When countering Hog Riders, obviously use buildings. But be wary as it the offender would usually play around it with cards such as Earthquake. Air swarms such as Minion Horde can help due to the Hog's usual support tools not countering them.
On the offender's side, a powerful move is to accompany him with an Earthquake, obilerating almost every building, and also grounded swarms. To a lesser extent, Lightning could also be used, retaining the same point of almost destroying every building while also crippling troops such as the Wizard or the Hunter.
The Log could also be an effective first play as a cycle, but it only kills swarms and sometimes a non-center-placed Tombstone.
The Hog Rider can be paired with the Lumberjack as both a swarm bait and damage combo. It is a very fast combo with an extremely high damage output potential, so the defender will likely try to counter it with a swarm. If this happens, the offender should use a spell like Arrows to render the defender poetically defenseless. If they manage to defeat the Lumberjack, the dropped Rage will make the Hog Rider even more dangerous than it normally is.
A fast and deadly combination is the Hog Rider and Mini P.E.K.K.A. combo. Both units are fast but the Mini P.E.K.K.A. does much more damage and does not attack only buildings so the Mini P.E.K.K.A. can deal with troops like the Executioner and Musketeer. However, this combo can be defeated with swarms like Skeleton Army, which will defeat both of them since neither of them can deal area damage. They are also unable to target air troops, so the Minion Horde can stop this easily.
A Hog Rider combined with a Goblin Barrel can be awkward for the opponent to defend against. Timing it so that the Hog Rider is tanking the tower shots for the Goblins is the most effective way to deal damage.
A Barbarian Barrel can shut this down with minimal Tower damage for a positive Elixir trade, as long as the Goblin Barrel was placed directly on the Tower. Use another card to counter the Hog Rider if it is necessary.
His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. However, the Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender's part, though they are vulnerable to spells. Swarm cards like Skeleton Army, Goblin Gang, and Minion Horde can also very easily counter him.
Use this to your advantage by placing a bulky swarm dealer in front of the Hog Rider (eg. Ice Golem, Valkyrie) so that the Hog Rider can transport it to the tower faster and also get protection from swarms.
Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent's hand.
The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent's go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up small spell.
Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King's Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value.
It is obviously not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective.
When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings.
Passive buildings such as spawners have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building.
The Hog Rider can kite Very Fast non-building targeting troops due to his own Very Fast speed and building only targeting if he is placed on the fourth tile from the bridge, slightly into the opposite lane. He can also stall grounded units when placed right at the bridge. He will pull them towards him while deploying, and then be untargetable by them when he jumps over the bridge. After landing, he will pull them back. This can be useful when the player needs to deal damage in the same lane they are defending. It will also help separate troops behind a tank in a large push.
A very powerful combo is the Hog Rider, the Musketeer, and the Valkyrie, typically referred to as the Trifecta. The Musketeer will defend against most troops, while the Valkyrie can protect her and the Hog Rider from swarms or high damage units. The Hog Rider is used to deal damage to the tower. However, this is for a whopping 12 Elixir.
This can be effectively countered by Lightning, one-shotting the Musketeer and severely damaging both the Valkyrie and Hog Rider. The Minion Horde is also effective, but the enemy can Zap them and the Musketeer will one-shot them all. Even if the Musketeer is defeated, the Hog Rider and Valkyrie will have enough time to severely damage the Tower. P.E.K.K.A. can hard counter this strategy allowing relatively low damage and being able to start a counterpush for a 5 elixir advantage.
The Hog Rider should be placed behind the Valkyrie to give it a boost so that it stays in front of the Hog Rider, protecting it.
Pairing the Hog Rider with the Balloon can deal devastating damage. If executed properly, the Hog Rider will act as a tank while the Balloon threatens to deal massive damage. The Hog Rider can also destroy any buildings attempting to slow down the combo. However, this combo is very vulnerable to swarms and anti-air cards as neither of the troops target anything but buildings. Additionally, they are easy to separate, due to the disparity in move speeds. Alternatively, the Hog Rider and the Balloon can be played in different lanes to spread the opponent's defenses thin. However, a building or Tornado can bring them back together for an easier defense.
A solid play is to deploy the Hog Rider at the bridge as soon as the match starts or when you reach 10 elixir which is safer. If the opponent does not react fast enough or has a bad starting hand, the Hog Rider will deal a significant amount of damage to the Princess Tower. This can also allow the player to quickly scout the opponent's deck if they happen to react to him fast enough.
A Hunter can kill the Hog Rider in 2 hits if placed right on top of it. However, if the opponent places something in front of the Hog Rider, the Hunter's splash will transfer overkill damage to said card.
    r connect to the tower.

As a console scorch main, I must confess that I disregard this advice and play scorch as a sniper build. Somehow, it actually works if you get a good feel for the arc; the burst DoT can outclass most any titan because it lets you focus on mobility; downplaying Scorch’s huge weakness. The thermite cannon actually has decent range, and on maps like Blackwater or Boomtown, a good angle can kill every rooftop pilot with ease; while controlling the center of the map and dishing out massive damage to titans before they reach you. Honestly, I might be putting myself at a disadvantage, but no feeling comes close to when you hit a flying pilot from across the map with a well timed leading shot.

I have been playing Scorch more recently and I LIVE for those moments in Titan Brawl where I have 2-3 titans cornered in an enclosed space. "I'm not stuck in here with you... you're stuck in here with ME!"
I dislike Ion because their main gun is so underwhelming. It is literally a plasma squirt gun that doesn't do nearly enough damage to make it feel satisfying. It feels like Ion was originally meant to be some kind of DOT flamethrower titan but had that role stolen by Scorch.
Same deal with Legion. I have one dodge boost, and more often than not I use it to get IN to trouble rather than out of it. Getting to slide around a corner with my gun revving up to flank an enemy titan is so amazing.

Legion is the main titan for most new players, even though Ion is supposed to be. A big minigun, a charged/power shot, a sheild on your gun, and the ability to switch between close and long range is about as simple as titans get- so noobs naturally gravitate towards it. I've only met maybe 5% of Legions that perform close to or above my level. The titan shreds, but people just say, "Oh, the titan is bad" because the players are.

Personally, I used to play Legion when I first started because BRRRRRRRT and because the majority of titan players I fought had a panic attack when I sneezed on them twice in a row when they expected my CD to be up.
Nowadays I play Ronin because he is infinately more durable than a Legion and has mobility. Sure he becomes a hunk of metal after doing a massive burst of damage, but if you use it at the right time against the right opponent, you'll be getting the most executions and Titan kills in the lobby.
Also I run nuclear ejection Ronin because there's nothing funnier than guiding three titans who see you are doomed down a hallway with one or two of your Titan turrets, then nuclear eject to scare the enemy into the turrets which distracts them, which 8 times out of 10 kills everything.
It also helps me play my role as a harrassing tank with more confidence to allow my team to regroup and chip away the high hp targets while I draw their fire.

Monarch: S (I think missile racks is better then arc rounds because of the siphon, missile, recharge, repeat is the best combo, and also Monarch feels like the harder titans to play because on drop if you lose too much health it will be really hard to get max upgrade)

But monarch you had to pay for it at start and ion style when I played the campaign with BT like everyone seems too lacking and would be a difficult use of beginning multiplayer. Tone I started with cuz it looked cool and it had a majority of options in terms of adapting to any situation. I get ambushed by two or three Titans and salvo fixes that and 40 meter cannon takes out infantry like it’s nothing. I was scared of playing multiplayer at first but Tone was the reason why I was able to stay calm and focus. With other Titans they have specific roles and I like it where you can use all categories at the same time. Tone is closest to that. It saved my life so many times and inspires me to give support to the team and save lives in the end.
