2 fun tips for Northstar: 1: if someone grabs onto you and you don't have an electric smoke screen, fire a cluster rocket at a wall and press your back to it untill the hostile pilot dies 2: if you equip nuclear ejection, fire a tether trap at a titan (2 if you have the kit) and eject in their face to kill them instantly while they can't move
@jack patton They're also in frontier defense as the mortar titans. (but not playable) Why did they do this? That's a whole titan class that's in the game with working abilities and balancing but it's relegated to the campaign and as AI.

But if you like to be mindlessly overpowerd always, and make people hate you, definitly play her. For me i don't really care what titan you play. If you're having fun than i would say it's fine.

Tip: using long range mode with the minigun takes 2 times the ammo but is also good for close range. But when you use your core you get unlimited ammo so always have long range mode while using the core
Ronin abilities and fighting style reminds of a ninja too. Ninjas and samurai should be quite scimilar in this aspect, right? Both really skilled fast and lethal.
Ciro Martins de Abreu Well, a Samurai is also a family class, so you can only be born into it, while anyone can train to be a Ninja. Also, Ninja seek it redirect attacks, a Samurai meets an attack head on.

This dude has no clue how to use scorch. You gotta equip tempered plating, and play an up close game. Your end goal as scorch is to force them against a wall, unleash you gas, and thermal shield until they are doomed. He's basically ronin but with less movement, just because of how much he excels in close range. No titan puts out as much damage as a well played scorch.
@@misterguy1470 personally I prefer turbo kit and flame shield enhancement, since the turbo kit let's you keep up with atlas titans if you bait their dash with gas, and then a full flame shield to the face is enough damage to kill an ogre without them even being able to touch you
@@doomskull7549 fair enough. I just like being able to throw traps at them while I'm using the shield or when I'm unable to rush them head on, so I find tempered plating a lot more reliable. Might have to try using your strategy tho, I haven't tried it in a while
They should have a mode called "Pilot Hunter" where one player starts off in a titan of their choosing, and the rest are pilots who can't gain access to their titan. The pilots will have to work together to destroy the titan, and the titan can get a few buffs, and the pilot can actually get out of the titan, but if they die when they are out of the titan, that a round loss for them, there will be some batteries lying around that the titan pilot can grab, but if an enemy pilot touchs it then it will disappear. This mode is round based where each pilot gets to be the titan pilot, and the titan has buffed health and damage, along with sonar for anyone nearby.
Best way to use the ronin, 1st step to killing a Titan. Find your target and know what titan it is. 2nd. Use arc wave to stun the Titan, giving you perfect time to use phase dash. 3rd. Use phase dash and go behind the enemy Titan. 4th. Shoot with lead wall once, then start slashing the enemy Titan with the sword. 5th. Arc wave the enemy Titan and phase dash behind it, then slash repeatedly. 6th continue this process until you can execute the Titan. Works every time.
Monarch main here. My tactics for getting the most out of monarch are as follows. 1) Overcore kit + Battery Backup = Monarch starting at 30% core charge meaning you get your upgrades much quicker. 2) Energy Syphon slows enemies and screws up their vision. It can also momentarily disrupt legion's ability to lock-on to any allies using Smart Core. Ontop of all that it partially replenishes your shield and does a little damage so aim it right and use it whenever you need to top-up on shields or to finish off a titan mid-reload. 3) Arc rounds are your middle finger to anything with a shield of any kind. Particle wall, Vortex shield, Titan body shields or Thermal shields. Arc rounds tear through them all and increases your clip size by 25%, giving Monarch a welcome boost to her DPS. In addition to this if you hammer on an Ion and force her to throw up her Vortex shield, keep firing. If you drain all of Ion's charge for Vortex shield, not only will that prevent her from using it again until it recharges but all the shots caught by the Vortex shield will hit the Ion in one go dealing a bunch of damage especially if they catch a weakspot. Because if one of those caught shots hits the crit-box they all count as a critical hit. 4) Energy field gives your energy Syphon a respectable AoE. You can use this to charge up while slowing a group of enemy titans, hit a single titan hiding around a corner to finish them off or to play Symmetra and give a group of allies a quick burst of shields (assuming you opted for Energy Transfer.) 5) Energy Thief allows Monarch to repair itself mid-fight by executing a doomed enemy as well as fully recharging her shields and adding 10% core charge. You're also invulnerable until the animation finishes. 6) Superior Chassis may sound like a boring upgrade just reading the text but if you're going for a high survivability play-style with Monarch, this upgrade is your best friend. It ups your titan's max HP to the same as Legion and Scorch while leaving your hit-box as it is. It also removes most of the glowing red weakspots the only one that remains is the larger one on the canopy but even then that weakspot shrinks a bit. This allows you to have the vitality of an Ogre titan while maintaining the size of an Atlas titan. Bare in mind however that this upgrade does NOT increase monarch's shield capacity it just stretches out the bar. 7) Re-arm resets the cooldowns of all other abilities and fully replenishes your dashes. You can use this to dish out a large amount of rockets in a short amount of time or to double tap on a Legion or Scorch for a full shield bar. 8) Once you have your 3 upgrades your core becomes your ability to sustain yourself in a fight as it will give you a full shield charge and unlike other cores it is instantly activated. When you have it ready, unload on your enemies and don't let up. Once your shields get a bit too thin for your liking pop your core and keep up the aggression or use it to keep your hull intact while you get the heck out of dodge if things start going downhill. 9) Once you call monarch in, don't go head first into a titan fight. Monarch starts off underpowered but rewards you for keeping her alive by becoming possible the strongest titan in the game after her 3rd upgrade. With Energy Thief kit you may only need to call her in once since she'll be able to self-repair and load up on shields. 10) If Monarch blows up you lose all your upgrades meaning the next time you call her in you'll have to build up all 3 all over again. Because of this you'll want to keep Monarch alive as best as you can.

I love how balanced the titans are in this game. They all have their weaknesses and strengths. For example, ronin is a great counter for legions if you hit and run because they can never keep up with you. Northstar is a counter for ronin with its range and speed and flight, it can just keep distance between the two. And legion is a counter for northstar because northstar relies on range and legion can just beam it from across the map. Monarch is balanced too because it doesn’t have any real weakness or strength. It’s just well rounded. I could talk about this game all day, I just love it
I agree. I'm glad they added a story mode it was fun and entertaining and it just adds to the overall package, if anything you can just go straight into multi-player if you don't care for single player
tip for scorch, if you have the drop on an enemy titan, use your heat shield on em. it DESTROYS titans in seconds and sorta blinds em as well as blocks all dmg they send your way. enhance the shield for greater effect
This reminds me of a fan-made Titan I made long time ago. Let me just say it here Titan Name: Zeus Damage: 3 health: 2 mobility: 3 The Titan “Zeus” is medium weight classed Titan with the power to use Electricity to harm enemies. It is equipped with a EMP Pulse Rifle that is able to charged up or shot rapidly. It can be charged up by aiming for 5 seconds until the bar is fully charged, without aiming makes the weapon do a burst-assault rifle like attack. First ability: ThunderBolt (assault): Zeus activates an electrified missile and shoots it at the Titan. Combined with the Pulse rifle does incredible damage and controls could control areas and seize or isolate enemies with the AOE attack. Second attack: “Unbreakable defense” (Defense): Zeus extends its palm and makes an energy shield that does tick damage when close to an enemy and blocks projectiles. *THUNDER CORE* Zeus charges up energy before extending both of its palm and releases a barrage of electric bolts that stun the titan and one-shots pilots. Execution Zeus jumps onto the enemy Titan and places its palm on both of the enemies arm. Then uses electricity to explode the Titan and jumps off. Message when ejection: “Be fast like a lighting pilot.” Rare message when embarking: “Don’t get fried in there pilot.”
My choice of titans from each class: Balanced: Tone, Love the long range capability, That's all, I just liked her over Ion. Armor: Legion, I love his mini gun and his smart lock will help me destroy a pilot while they eject. Speed: Ronin, His speed, abilities, and sword is what I like most about him.
Scorch is perfect for frontier defence. All the titans pile in and are fucked when you get close. Ronin is great for targeting mortar class infantry aswell as the lower classes like reapers, stalkers and grunts. Monarch is built for support in frontier defence. I recommend the core upgrades energy siphon, enhanced arc smoke and surperior chassis. Siphon because if you have all of the aegis ranks you can either have the missile racks or arc rounds. Both are equally good but you need the siphon all of the time. Arc smoke because the smoke gives shields to yourself and teammates so you will be using it a lot. And surperior chassis so you are basically immortal keeping your upgrades. Legion is best to protect the harvester aswell as tone and northstar though for northstar in between rounds you should put tether traps everywhere because they are permenant until they are activated and stay in between rounds
Tone seems like a good defense titan, especially for evacuations due to her particle wall creating a Las ditch protective barrier meaning that even if you have to stay behind to save your team then so be it, they'll get away safe and you'll go down as a hero
If you are fighting another north star, and you are doomed.....just eject. Don't bother with hovering, because the enemy North Star can and will hover to execute you.
Bunny Pilot I dunno, I play Northstar and no Ronin could even get close to me. It's a tad weak for something relying on something as unreliable as Melee. Maybe in titanfall one, but I don't see trading off with Legions close range to be a good idea.
I’ve recently gotten the game and I’m trying to play with all the Titans. At the moment, I’m really leaning towards Legion and Scorch. But this is great advice, maybe I should give Tone another shot!
I hope they bring the 3 plane old titans back with some old favorite weapons like the chaingun, quad rock, triple threat and the arc cannon in a future dlc

One tip for Northstar is you can throw down a tether trap go up in the air while charging your rail gun and by the time the enemy turns and by the time you’re on the ground your real gun will be fully charged and ready to shoot
I've noticed that half the Titan's cores are like Overwatch characters. Northstar=Phara, Legion=Soldier 76, Ronin=Genji. Now I'm not complaining or anything because its always fun to yell "I've got you in my sights!" when using Legion.
Tip for scorch if you find a titans with flame core on make sure to put an gas trap then use your fire wall then trap em then push them into it Then when they take a lot damage use flame core on them to kill them
Legion and Tone are the strongest ones by a large margin. Ronin and Ion are the most underpowered. Best thing to do with Ronin though is not not use the sword unless you absolutely have to. it's not as OP as you like to think it is. Best weapon for Ronin is the lightning slash thing; Get the extra lightning slash perk so you have two of them, and aim around corners and rip shit up with it, then run off to let them recharge or go in for the final blow (If it's a solo titan). Ronin is a 1v1 and Pilot Killer titan. If you see any more than one titan, play the lightning slash hit and run game. DO NOT go near any titan unless you're sure they are solo. Even still, Ronin is really underpowered and his Execution only works like 20% of the time for some reason.
they are strong as hell but I use ion and legion and I have easily killed both legion and tone with ion but mind you tone is my third most used titan and what do you mean ion is under powered u just cant use here right. I can see why u think that but heres the thing any time she shoots missles at you vortex them back and your golden
I just want to get back in my Ogre. Basically, have an older Titan that isn't as effective designwise and has rather basic abilities compared with the newer titans, but has access to the old Shield Recharge system that doesn't require batteries.
I think you know which ones right for you when you don’t feel like you can’t play it , when you feel comfortable using them , that’s how I found out my main was ion and legion
Just know that Monarchs can use their energy syphon to keep your power down (and their arc rounds shorten the duration of your vortex shield) stay tf away from them
For tone get the burst loader it takes 3-5 seconds to have three shots ready to hit and lock on for your tracking missiles and aim up with the missiles when there in cover
I've found that having two shock slash abilities on ronin comes in really handy when you wat to get away from other titans, or engaging them, just use it whenever you feel like it really
Ronin’s mine. A good strategy I found is to pick on infantry and reapers, than go commando once youve achieved your core. Avoid conflict with Legion and Scorch, as if you get too close, they shred completely through Ronin. I use Turbo kit + Highlander to try and make the best of the sword core.

Tempered plating and scorched earth are the best kits. Scorched earth is so unbelievably powerful it should be illegal

This mode is round based where each pilot gets to be the titan pilot, and the titan has buffed health and damage, along with sonar for anyone nearby.

Best way to use the ronin,
1st step to killing a Titan. Find your target and know what titan it is.
2nd. Use arc wave to stun the Titan, giving you perfect time to use phase dash.
3rd. Use phase dash and go behind the enemy Titan.
4th. Shoot with lead wall once, then start slashing the enemy Titan with the sword.
5th. Arc wave the enemy Titan and phase dash behind it, then slash repeatedly.
6th continue this process until you can execute the Titan.
Works every time.

Monarch main here. My tactics for getting the most out of monarch are as follows.
1) Overcore kit + Battery Backup = Monarch starting at 30% core charge meaning you get your upgrades much quicker.
2) Energy Syphon slows enemies and screws up their vision. It can also momentarily disrupt legion's ability to lock-on to any allies using Smart Core. Ontop of all that it partially replenishes your shield and does a little damage so aim it right and use it whenever you need to top-up on shields or to finish off a titan mid-reload.
3) Arc rounds are your middle finger to anything with a shield of any kind. Particle wall, Vortex shield, Titan body shields or Thermal shields. Arc rounds tear through them all and increases your clip size by 25%, giving Monarch a welcome boost to her DPS. In addition to this if you hammer on an Ion and force her to throw up her Vortex shield, keep firing. If you drain all of Ion's charge for Vortex shield, not only will that prevent her from using it again until it recharges but all the shots caught by the Vortex shield will hit the Ion in one go dealing a bunch of damage especially if they catch a weakspot. Because if one of those caught shots hits the crit-box they all count as a critical hit.
4) Energy field gives your energy Syphon a respectable AoE. You can use this to charge up while slowing a group of enemy titans, hit a single titan hiding around a corner to finish them off or to play Symmetra and give a group of allies a quick burst of shields (assuming you opted for Energy Transfer.)
5) Energy Thief allows Monarch to repair itself mid-fight by executing a doomed enemy as well as fully recharging her shields and adding 10% core charge. You're also invulnerable until the animation finishes.
6) Superior Chassis may sound like a boring upgrade just reading the text but if you're going for a high survivability play-style with Monarch, this upgrade is your best friend. It ups your titan's max HP to the same as Legion and Scorch while leaving your hit-box as it is. It also removes most of the glowing red weakspots the only one that remains is the larger one on the canopy but even then that weakspot shrinks a bit. This allows you to have the vitality of an Ogre titan while maintaining the size of an Atlas titan. Bare in mind however that this upgrade does NOT increase monarch's shield capacity it just stretches out the bar.
7) Re-arm resets the cooldowns of all other abilities and fully replenishes your dashes. You can use this to dish out a large amount of rockets in a short amount of time or to double tap on a Legion or Scorch for a full shield bar.
8) Once you have your 3 upgrades your core becomes your ability to sustain yourself in a fight as it will give you a full shield charge and unlike other cores it is instantly activated. When you have it ready, unload on your enemies and don't let up. Once your shields get a bit too thin for your liking pop your core and keep up the aggression or use it to keep your hull intact while you get the heck out of dodge if things start going downhill.
9) Once you call monarch in, don't go head first into a titan fight. Monarch starts off underpowered but rewards you for keeping her alive by becoming possible the strongest titan in the game after her 3rd upgrade. With Energy Thief kit you may only need to call her in once since she'll be able to self-repair and load up on shields.
10) If Monarch blows up you lose all your upgrades meaning the next time you call her in you'll have to build up all 3 all over again. Because of this you'll want to keep Monarch alive as best as you can.

I love how balanced the titans are in this game. They all have their weaknesses and strengths. For example, ronin is a great counter for legions if you hit and run because they can never keep up with you. Northstar is a counter for ronin with its range and speed and flight, it can just keep distance between the two. And legion is a counter for northstar because northstar relies on range and legion can just beam it from across the map. Monarch is balanced too because it doesn’t have any real weakness or strength. It’s just well rounded. I could talk about this game all day, I just love it

tip for scorch, if you have the drop on an enemy titan, use your heat shield on em. it DESTROYS titans in seconds and sorta blinds em as well as blocks all dmg they send your way. enhance the shield for greater effect
don't forget that those traps you can lay do stacking damage and they can be ignited with the heat shield

It can be charged up by aiming for 5 seconds until the bar is fully charged, without aiming makes the weapon do a burst-assault rifle like attack.
First ability: ThunderBolt (assault): Zeus activates an electrified missile and shoots it at the Titan. Combined with the Pulse rifle does incredible damage and controls could control areas and seize or isolate enemies with the AOE attack.
Second attack: “Unbreakable defense” (Defense): Zeus extends its palm and makes an energy shield that does tick damage when close to an enemy and blocks projectiles.
*THUNDER CORE*
Zeus charges up energy before extending both of its palm and releases a barrage of electric bolts that stun the titan and one-shots pilots.
Execution
Zeus jumps onto the enemy Titan and places its palm on both of the enemies arm. Then uses electricity to explode the Titan and jumps off.
Message when ejection: “Be fast like a lighting pilot.”

My choice of titans from each class:
Balanced: Tone, Love the long range capability, That's all, I just liked her over Ion.
Armor: Legion, I love his mini gun and his smart lock will help me destroy a pilot while they eject.
Speed: Ronin, His speed, abilities, and sword is what I like most about him.

Scorch is perfect for frontier defence. All the titans pile in and are fucked when you get close. Ronin is great for targeting mortar class infantry aswell as the lower classes like reapers, stalkers and grunts. Monarch is built for support in frontier defence. I recommend the core upgrades energy siphon, enhanced arc smoke and surperior chassis. Siphon because if you have all of the aegis ranks you can either have the missile racks or arc rounds. Both are equally good but you need the siphon all of the time. Arc smoke because the smoke gives shields to yourself and teammates so you will be using it a lot. And surperior chassis so you are basically immortal keeping your upgrades. Legion is best to protect the harvester aswell as tone and northstar though for northstar in between rounds you should put tether traps everywhere because they are permenant until they are activated and stay in between rounds
Tone seems like a good defense titan, especially for evacuations due to her particle wall creating a Las ditch protective barrier meaning that even if you have to stay behind to save your team then so be it, they'll get away safe and you'll go down as a hero

My titan is northstar and I have a tip when in doomstate hover then eject so then you can't be executed.
If you are fighting another north star, and you are doomed.....just eject. Don't bother with hovering, because the enemy North Star can and will hover to execute you.

Bunny Pilot I dunno, I play Northstar and no Ronin could even get close to me. It's a tad weak for something relying on something as unreliable as Melee. Maybe in titanfall one, but I don't see trading off with Legions close range to be a good idea.

One tip for Northstar is you can throw down a tether trap go up in the air while charging your rail gun and by the time the enemy turns and by the time you’re on the ground your real gun will be fully charged and ready to shoot

I've noticed that half the Titan's cores are like Overwatch characters. Northstar=Phara, Legion=Soldier 76, Ronin=Genji. Now I'm not complaining or anything because its always fun to yell "I've got you in my sights!" when using Legion.

Tip for scorch if you find a titans with flame core on make sure to put an gas trap then use your fire wall then trap em then push them into it

Legion and Tone are the strongest ones by a large margin. Ronin and Ion are the most underpowered.
Best thing to do with Ronin though is not not use the sword unless you absolutely have to. it's not as OP as you like to think it is. Best weapon for Ronin is the lightning slash thing; Get the extra lightning slash perk so you have two of them, and aim around corners and rip shit up with it, then run off to let them recharge or go in for the final blow (If it's a solo titan). Ronin is a 1v1 and Pilot Killer titan. If you see any more than one titan, play the lightning slash hit and run game. DO NOT go near any titan unless you're sure they are solo. Even still, Ronin is really underpowered and his Execution only works like 20% of the time for some reason.
they are strong as hell but I use ion and legion and I have easily killed both legion and tone with ion but mind you tone is my third most used titan and what do you mean ion is under powered u just cant use here right. I can see why u think that but heres the thing any time she shoots missles at you vortex them back and your golden

I just want to get back in my Ogre. Basically, have an older Titan that isn't as effective designwise and has rather basic abilities compared with the newer titans, but has access to the old Shield Recharge system that doesn't require batteries.
I like them all this time. they all seem to serve a purpose - even the skinny fast ones

For tone get the burst loader it takes 3-5 seconds to have three shots ready to hit and lock on for your tracking missiles and aim up with the missiles when there in cover

Be careful with that. I've killed myself twice trying to phase and cut by coming out in another titan. Instantly kills you.
Ronin’s mine. A good strategy I found is to pick on infantry and reapers, than go commando once youve achieved your core. Avoid conflict with Legion and Scorch, as if you get too close, they shred completely through Ronin.
I use Turbo kit + Highlander to try and make the best of the sword core.
