Have been looking more about chevy volts since watching the weber auto videos on how everything works, and is put together... always good for a surprise my girlfriend just recently traded out of a jeep compass and into a 2011 volt. I suppose this one way to get to know the car before the day I can get into my own. Anyhow noticed your in PA and had to click that subscribe button haha! Props!
Great video. I'll be looking into one of those myself. What do you use to check codes Mike? I have a 2011 Volt myself. Be nice to check them myself and not go to the dealer.
I have mostly higher level scan tools that I use. I usually use my Foxwell because it is the one that has most current software updates. As far as lower cost scantool I am not sure. I would think most of them could read the codes but I can't say for sure. sorry.

Nice, Do you know what took out the sensor, a rock maybe.
What took it out was some dummy slow rolling the car into a cement filled pole and hitting it with that area of the bumper! HA!
@@TheDisgruntledMechanic Well we all make mistakes, good thing the sensor was warning of an obstacle or it could have be worst. Haha
I once installed an Autozone parking sensor on a mercedez and it didn't like it lol. It just said that it wasn't the right sensor.
