Yeah, the vibes Kingdom Hearts gives off can often give the impression that it’s not really all that serious, but the series can get surprisingly epic at times. I don’t blame you for assuming Yoda had the win in the bag.
There's one thing that wasn't brought up in detail in this video: Ultima. Yes, it is Mickey's strongest attack spell, but that doesn't even begin to describe what the spell is capable of. Ultima is a spell so powerful that someone once dumped it on an island roughly the size of Hawaii, and that island no longer exists. Ultima is absolutely ridiculous in power and scale, and because it has no elemental affinity or natural shape, the spell can take on a plethora of different forms. Sometimes a beam, sometimes a nuclear explosion, some final bosses even condense it into a sword. Ultima is the ultimate Black Magic spell in the Final Fantasy franchise, it cannot be tamed or fought against. The destruction it packs is absolute, to the point where the first time the protagonist of Final Fantasy 14 faced off against it, it took the power of a literal higher being channeling all of her might to protect them from the explosion's power. Yes, even gods and goddesses of this franchise start to sweat when Ultima enters the fight. To make matters worse, it can scale up to the most powerful spell ever devised in the series, Ultiga. Sometimes called "The Tower Of Power", Ultiga is a vertical explosion with such massive intensity that you can see the explosion's height reaching into space, almost looking like one of those beams you see leaving the atmosphere in Dragon Ball Z. Again, using FF14 for reference, there is a boss fight against someone using that spell on the party. It takes the combined power of legendary heroes combined to protect the party, but the explosion is basically unending. You have to fight and defeat the boss while literally INSIDE OF AN ONGOING ULTIMA as you see the shield around you cracking and shrinking. Imagine an explosion that goes on endlessly for a few minutes, instead of being a singular boom. All of this still cannot properly illustrate the majesty and devastation of Ultima. All of which is to say, Ultima never really had a showing in Kingdom Hearts. Even at its darkest, it is still a story involving Disney characters, so we can't risk overstepping lines with age ratings. ...BUT. I shot out of my chair when Mickey suddenly went point blank range, keyblade in Xehanort's face, and just casually fired an Ultima. That is the equivalent of Goku realizing how dangerous a bad guy is, and instead of his usual fighting and good-natured challenges, he instead just teleports in their face and pulls out a shotgun. That is the kind of shift in tone we're talking. To make matters worse, Xehanort blocked it with Stop, which is a time freezing spell that can easily be disrupted by other spellcasters. This is basically like him standing on the tracks as a train is plowing towards him, and knowing that if he flicks a paperclip into just the right spot, the entire train will derail and miss him. Unsurprisingly, he had the benefit of future sight at that point due to plot shenanigans. But the absolute balls it takes to see someone throwing Ultima at you at point blank range and just preventing it with Stop absolutely blows my mind. In short, it was a very pog moment. Don't feel bad for losing to Ultima, Yoda. There is a very short list of characters who could actually survive it without plot armor.
I think Xehanort stopped Ultima from activating with stop. It's something that may not have explored, but being able to reverse the cast of Ultima may be a counter of it. Keep in mind too, Xehanort used "Stopza" the strongest form of Stop. And he's a great magician as it is, so him finding a work around Ultima is not far fetched.
@yuuhyakuya3863 Very possible, considering how powerful "-za" spells have been shown to be. But considering he pulled that while Ultima was mid-cast, as in the spell was already in the process of being fired from the keyblade, Xehanort was pulling off a huge risk by attempting that. If he missed that timing by even a fraction, Ultima would've likely turned Xehanort to whatever the family-friendly version of a bloody mist is. It speaks not only to his mastery of magic but how balls-to-the-wall Xehanort was in that battle. Still, no one talks about how the Disney mascot just ran up to an old man and tried to vaporize him at point blank with Ultima. As cool as the counter was, can we all agree that Mickey Mouse was ready to just straight up kill a man?
Doesn't Donald have a spell that's more powerful than anything ever seen in Final Fantasy, even more than what Bahamut used to wipe out the present universe in 14?
@@BJGvideosFrom what my research has shown, the Zettaflare used by Bahamut happened in 16, and, though I have not verified this part, required that the Bahamut in question sacrifice people's lives to power it. Donald cast it on his own, but died in the process, much like Tellah from FFIV, but with Meteor (Ultima didn't appear in any of the games between II and VI).
@@Bardic_Knowledge Donald didn't die, it used up all of his energy. Meaning he could recover from, Goofy's response shows Donald has done it before. But the situation they were in did not give Donald the time he needed to recover.
I feel like this is the most relevant opportunity I'm going to get to suggest you do a video reacting to Barry's "Good enough Summary of Kingdom Hearts". It's totally worth it for the tiny little editing jokes and quick humor of the nutshell explanations. Also the art is very silly. Though something innthe back of my mind tells me you already did those videos? Either way, I'd love to see you see them. (There's only 3 and the third one is like, "just watch this at the end of the second video" short)
Miss Bettany your theory sound good but the strength of a keyblade is the heart of the wielder. the heart create the weapon. sadly DB team did'nt explain that
I will say. Cartoon logic aka toon force doesn't really mean anything in fights. Its moreso an ability and it doesnt make someone invincible. This verison of mickey also doesnt even utilize toon force like his cartoon counterpart. And King Mickey is stronger despite the cartoon having toon force.
You guys should react to a Death Battle featuring a character from RWBY. I recommend starting off with Yang VS Tifa since that episode covers up to Volume 2.
Saying this as a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, I'm not really sure the Roxas heart thing is as impressive as they think it is. In an interview in the KH3 Ultimania book, Nomura says the new body they were making for Roxas was basically alive (like Xion for those that know KH), and the body used his connection to Sora to rush over to him, which is where Roxas' heart then joined with it. Now, it's kinda ambiguous what Nomura means by rushed over there, but the fact that he specifies using his connection to Sora makes me think he just opened a portal, not literally flying through space to get there. There have been multiple other instances in KH, some even in KH3 as well, where people use the connection between their hearts to portal directly to someone/somewhere. Not saying I necessarily disagree with the end results, it's just that one feat that's never particularly sat right with me.
this is unrelated but there was a new sonic trailer that dropped at playstation state of play recently for a remaster of sonic generations with a whole new shadow campaign that continues the story from the shadow the hedgehog game from 2005. I'd love to see you guys react to that trailer along side some other sonic trailers for other games like sonic mania and stuff.
17:59 Travel time vs battle reaction are absolutely not the same thing in the same way speed vs agility arent the same. Always felt this win was silly. They even bring in the gods who have VERY specific powers to move very specific things and somehow scaled mickey to them? just silly.
Ken: "$5 on Yoda." Me: "Oof, Ken, that's okay, you got the lead." Bethany: "$30 on Yoda." Me: "BETHANY NOOOOOOOO!" That's okay, I rooted for Yoda myself when this first came out
I've noticed something in all these death battles, there is a very big hint on who's gonna win in every fight, i can tell you if you like or I won't say anything to keep your bet fair
I like this One, such a nice Primer for the 10 Year Season. Anyway, I would like to see you do Captain Marvel vs Shazam at some point. Say, what do you think of the First Mickey being in Public Domain?
Oh how interesting. I highly recommand "Epic Mickey" for the Nintendo Wii. It had clunky mechanics and a terrible camera, but besides that it was a lovely good game.
Steam boat Wilie is public domain now. So Disney no longer owns this version of him anymore, and lost of indie artist can finally use him. One of them recently put him in a horror game.
did you really think they would put mickey in a death battle and have him lose. they once said in an interview is there any character you would never put in a death battle, and they said mickey. because of Disney, you don't mess with the mouse.
Hahahahaha. The mix of kingdom hearts and star wars music is perfect. Fun fact: Nomura always wanted Kingdom Hearts to be about Star Wars vs Star Trek. That's why Leonard Nimoy was the voice of master Xehanort. After his passing (RIP) they moved to Rutger Hauer (RIP, is the role cursed?) to make it Star Wars vs Blade Runner.

This is one of the few that I simply wasn't interested in because I had a good idea of who was going to win, and I was right, and I still don't care for it honestly, but it was worth at least one more watch with you two.
Love how they both respected each other
Yeah, the vibes Kingdom Hearts gives off can often give the impression that it’s not really all that serious, but the series can get surprisingly epic at times. I don’t blame you for assuming Yoda had the win in the bag.
It can also be surprisingly depressing( looking at you, 358/2 Days)

Let's be honest here: neither one of these two would actually would want to start a fight so eagerly

I got chills watching this with you guys. And I’ve seen this like 7 times probably
Miss Bettany your theory sound good but the strength of a keyblade is the heart of the wielder. the heart create the weapon. sadly DB team did'nt explain that
Sephiroth vs vergil is also such a great fight!! Would love ur reaction on that one
To answer your question about Petatons, one single Petaton is equal to 1,000,000,000,000,000 regular tons.
That’s 15 zeroes by the way.
I will say. Cartoon logic aka toon force doesn't really mean anything in fights. Its moreso an ability and it doesnt make someone invincible. This verison of mickey also doesnt even utilize toon force like his cartoon counterpart. And King Mickey is stronger despite the cartoon having toon force.

Didn't expect this fight.
Mega Man Royale/Eggman vs Wily Death Battles when?
Strider vs Ryu too..
I definitely agree with mega man royale

You should watch the battle that takes place after this one next.
Shadow vs Ryuko (Sonic vs Kill La Kill).
Interesting. The moment they started listing mickey’s abilities it didn’t even seem close to me lol
Whichever team wins we'll look forward to the new outfits.
All bets on Team Ken.
17:59 Travel time vs battle reaction are absolutely not the same thing in the same way speed vs agility arent the same.

Check all might vs might guy its fire 🔥
3:46 I recommend you also react to the 2003 clone wars some time, it's not that long.
Ken: "$5 on Yoda."

Me: "BETHANY NOOOOOOOO!"

Yeah the one time betting big… 😢😱
got absolutely blindsided by this matchup, the only yoda matchup i knew about was meta knight, so seeing this was... something
Yoda Vs Oogway is his best
King Mickey is a little different from regular Mickey. King Mickey can't use toon force. At least not to the extent of regular Mickey.
This was a good reaction and next react to either Luke vs Harry or Sora vs Pit.
Cartoon > Anime > Live-Action in terms of unfair power advantages
I've noticed something in all these death battles, there is a very big hint on who's gonna win in every fight, i can tell you if you like or I won't say anything to keep your bet fair
Madara vs Aizen plz
I liked the fight, but the music itself is something that still sticks in my mind.
It’s so grandiose and fits Kingdom Hearts vibes so much. ❤️🔥
The end especially. It adds so much weight to the final sequence.
I like this One, such a nice Primer for the 10 Year Season.

React to Death Battle Princess Peach vs Princess Zelda!

Expect that, I did not
One of these owns the other one 😂
like they say in vegas - the house always wins. and the mouse owns them all (maniacal laugh)
Hahahahaha. The mix of kingdom hearts and star wars music is perfect.

You should react to alan becker short animated series
Please watch boba fett versus predator death battle
could ya react to Arcane
Are you going to react to Hazbin hotel? Its was so good!
Disney destroying Star Wars in a nutshell🗿💀
This is one of the few that I simply wasn't interested in because I had a good idea of who was going to win, and I was right, and I still don't care for it honestly, but it was worth at least one more watch with you two.
First & Second
