I've always wonder how to make artificial cakes and things, but you made it so easy, I must try it, but I think it may come additive and there goes my money( LOL),but it looks so fun. Enjoyed watching even if it was in 2020. Can always learn something and exciting.

One thing to keep in mind for those of you thinking about experimenting in the fake bake world.... sealing is very important. When you finish your project. I use polyurethane.

Beautiful job!! If the white drip mixture is as thin as it appears in the video, you can draw it up INTO the syringe from the bottom rather than pour it in from the top. Push plunger into empty syringe, place tip in the mixture and pull back in the plunger. Much easier and neater. (I’m an RN). Hope this helps! Love everything you do. 💜

Yeah I grabbed SOME of them peppermint ornaments from hobby lobby, notice how I said some!!! Don't be that lady! 😄 😉 plus you can make them very easy for dirt cheap. I love your work and I know from how talented you are you can make them plus saves 💰. So if your willing to spend money I have an idea for you plus you would be helping small businesses, Google fake candy and it's endless!! Etsy should come up to!! Making sprinkles is soo easy to, again Google how to make fake sprinkles lol now your gonna be so excited 😊 ps FYI you want to buy rhinestones that are made with resin not them packs at hobby lobby there not blingy enough, glass and resin are awsome and not much more sometimes even cheaper than them cheap looking rhinstones/ gems!

If the spackle gets to thin with the paint added you can sprinkle in some flour or cornstarch to stiffen it back up to the consistency you want.

Hi Laura, i have the gum drops in the jar. They also them smaller and they have fake sugar there so cute. There called MY LITTLE CHRISTMAS, very hard to find. They run out fast. I had the girl get on the ladder to dig through all tge bins. I got several packs.

Then you popped up and I think yours looks so good and your laid back approach took the fear out of it for me. I am not clenched up anymore!! I’m trying to justify buying the basic starter tools needed for this. And I’m trying to consider how I would market these locally? Do you have any ideas on how to market maybe if I just started with the tiny one tier cake or a cupcake?

Paper clay should work and is easy to make and you could then just paint it. You could cut circles from cardboard and cover with paper clay and it would be less expensive. Either paint or color paper clay with food coloring or paint

Laura .. you don’t need to make slits .. you use spackle like glue just make another star dollop and stick your gingerbread guys in it also attach your big piece with spackle under it

What in the heck is a Cooney? I live in Tennessee and have never heard of them. But, I had a friend from California and she had never had several things that I cook. All I have to say is she took a suitcase full of country food and I had to write down how to make biscuits and gravy, cornbread and red red gravy and several more things.

Yes I did. I used it for the drip around the cake . I would use the light weight spackle as drip instead. It comes out much thicker☺️

They’ll last forever . I seal mine with Gloss mod podge or Dura Clear

Yes I’ll be making well showing you how I made my Bunny tonight on my channel using model magic. You can get model magic at hobby lobby, Michaels or Amazon. Also you can use foam clay.

I found real, edible sprinkles melt and the color will run. I now make my sprinkles from polymer clay
