I’ve always seen these fake treats on Etsy and have always wanted to know how to make them! Thank you so, so much for sharing! I’m excited to make these!
Oh my word: it is easy. I was thinking a 2 piece mold would be necessary to get the donut shape. This is 'child's play", LOL. I love all of your fake foods; they are so very charming. I'm mad at myself b/c I had a big tub of air dry clay; had no idea what to do with it, so I gave it to the Good Will. Now I'm regretting the de-cluttering mood I was in at the time.
Girl you are truly talented & bless your sweet heart for sharing your gifts with all of us. I love everything about you. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. Blessings my pink friend.😙
I just discovered your channel and am super excited to try some of the beautiful crafts!.....I have been looking for a youtube channel like this for a long time.
Omg I love your videos it is amazing how you can make these out of cheep clay! Wow and I also love how calm you are in your videos! Can’t wait to see more!
Found your channel just recently and love all your videos, very inspiring. Have tried the cake pops one had great fun. thank you for your inspiration.and for sharing.
I cant find the video where u showed how to make fake sprinkles. Could u let me know which one it is please? So happy i found your channel Ive been looking for things to make my wreaths stand out!!! Subscribed immediately!
Aurora Hemingway Hi!If you search all my videos you should find it in there !It’s under Faux Sprinkles! They are easy and you can make any colour you want!😊
Hi ! Love your videos and question where do I buy the white Gaulking, and fake sprinkles. How do I make fake sprinkles. You mention a video but can’ t find it.
Yes I’m sure you could use spackle ,the caulking will stick better but you should definitely be able to use spackle:)I also recommend using model magic for the doughnuts!
Any ideas on how to make a long John? Instead of cream, I want to insert a piece of paper with a note on it. What could I insert into the clay to hollow it out? Thanks so much for your video!
Cali Make them the same way as I made the doughnuts just in a shape of a long John! Use a credit card type of thing to make the hollow part .Just clean it after.LOL
@@thepinktree3490 that's an awesome idea! I actually never thought of inserting it flat, I was going to be difficult and hollow out a tube shape. You're awesome!!
I wonder if you could use spray foam insulation to create the donut shape after making a mold from a real doughnut so that it would be much lighter weight?🍩
That air dry clay has cornstarch white school glue hand lotion and baby oil. I made some this evening and yes it is very messy!! Lol. I thought I would leave it in a airtight bowl overnight and then try it in the morning. I am hoping it works I have my fingers crossed Lol
If you want it lightweight for your tree use hearty lightweight air dry clay. Or crayola model magic is basically the same, just a tad heavier. I made my macaroons from the lightweight air dry clay also.
@@thepinktree3490 I just happened to see the Hearty clay at Hobby lobby and grabbed a bag when I was getting my polymer clay. It's really light weight and dries completely hard. The crayola model magic doesnt dry as hard, like theres a possibity of getting dents in your project, and it's a little heavier than the Hearty too, but it's still decent clay if you seal it with modge podge. That hearty clay is more expensive but worth it imo. It dries quicker, it's lighter weight, and dries completely hard without the tiny bit of squish like the crayola M.M. I wanted a lighter clay and kind of hit the jackpot with Hearty.
Hi, I went to find the paint color that you had shown and they no longer carry them at our dollar store or at Micheal's crafts in Vancouver BC. What color would be close to the ones you used thanks.
Jandle in the city Oh really! I mix all my colours so I really couldn’t tell you what shade to pick ! Any pretty pink and mix a little yellow in it .Same for the teal!
Jandle in the city The base is Daffodil yellow and a little antique white. The darker part I put is a mixture of Daffodil yellow ,golden brown, terra cotta and antique white !🧡
Love this! I let my donuts sit and dry for a week as it’s cold and rainy in Indiana. I see small cracks on several donuts on the inside hole. What can I do to repair them before I proceed with painting?
I use model magic now instead of air dry clay and I use fake sprinkles made out of oven bake polymer clay which I do have a video on:)I also use caviar beads as sprinkles which you can buy from Etsy!
Are you using real sprinkles? And the second question, what is the biggest size you can make your donut in? How fragile is the dry clay when it dries out?
DreamDesign&Decor Hi! No I use fake sprinkles that I make myself ! I do have a DIY video on that ! You can make your doughnuts any size you want but they tend to be heavy! They may break if you drop them on the floor.LOL
Jandle in the city It is not lightweight but you could definitely still put them on a tree ! If it’s a real tree just put it on a sturdy branch and it should be no problem on a fake tree!❤️
I love to craft and I have just started with fake foods and I love your tutorials. You voice is so calming. I have a question on the second color you put on the donuts. Do you mix all 4 colors together for that or just the Terra Cotta and Golden Brown?
Love love love all of your ideas! So practical, affordable, and adorable! For the pink frosting, what would you say, approximately, are the ratios of the different colors you used? I want to do this with my kids for Christmas decor for their room.
I just tried the frosting with acrylic paint and caulking. I tried a few ratios between caulking and paint. Noticed that the more paint, the more cracks I get. But at the same time, I want it a bit more "frosting" like instead of the thick caulking consistency. Just wondering what's your current ratio? Is it more like 2 parts caulking to 1 part paint?
Hey Girl ... I don't get tired to look at your craft all over and over .... Again ...😛😛🎵🎶👏👏👏🤣🤣😘🥰
Awesome!!🥰❤️

I want to make these as ornaments, how heavy is the clay donut? Just wondering if it would weigh down the branch a lot when hung
Nessa M They are fairly heavy but would work on a sturdy branch or any artificial tree!
Awwwww so adorable.... Thank you.

I wonder if you could use spray foam insulation to create the donut shape after making a mold from a real doughnut so that it would be much lighter weight?🍩
You can buy silicon doughnut molds but I think it might not keep the shape with the spray foam.

Where do the mode podge come in at?
I seal the doughnut with it !
Lovely
Lymarie Espinal Thanks !
How do you make fake powdered sugar or shredded coconut for toppings? Thank you
Ronnie Marie I’ve never made neither! But maybe carve away at oven bake polymer clay make coconut.🤷♀️
Maybe you could use baby powder & candle shavings? Or white crayon shavings?
Does anyone know why one couldn’t use real sprinkles and use mod podge or white glue or spray clear to preserve them ?
The colour in the sprinkles will most likely bleed into your cupcake .
That air dry clay has cornstarch white school glue hand lotion and baby oil. I made some this evening and yes it is very messy!! Lol. I thought I would leave it in a airtight bowl overnight and then try it in the morning. I am hoping it works I have my fingers crossed Lol

What clay do you think is the best for making sprinkles. Air dry or the baking kind. I enjoy watching all of your videos. Thanks for sharing. Shirley.

What color yellow did u use for the middle line?
Love this! I let my donuts sit and dry for a week as it’s cold and rainy in Indiana. I see small cracks on several donuts on the inside hole. What can I do to repair them before I proceed with painting?
