Back in 2006, living end came to nz. (R18 gig ..) Thats cool, i nicked the poster from the dairy and played thier album the whole night haha, great night for a 12 yr old
I remember my friend took a trip to Austraulia (we are American) in 2008 with his family. When he came back he said "you gotta hear this song. It played everywhere in Australia"
Wow...I remember the days when I listened to The Living End. I actually really got into them for a while. Then I basically completely forgot about them by the time I was 10-12 years old. In the past year or two I've been trying to really expand my music library. Perhaps it's time to get back into the Living End.
I've said it before, I'll say it for the 100th time: while the rest of the world relies on computers, samples and loops, Australians continue to make brilliant, authentic, tangible rock music.
+entertain7us14 Absolutely, l've always said this...even in the 90's, aussie rock beats all..no contest.. look at violent soho, they make grunge! Today! And Wolfmother...they make 70's rock, they're unbelievable. And John Butler...nuff said.
@MrSkotty1992 I went to Guam once and a Us soldier was listening to them and it was really cool to see someone had found it on somewhat underground. He loved them and I never knew that Billie Joe Owned a label.. thats really cool. They rock out so i agree they would be a great support band for G.D. thanks hey x
ACDC was formed in Australia! TV Reality Programs ... Got Talent series, X Factor series and Idol series are all derived from Popstars which originated in New Zealand. Big Brother and The Voice series originated in The Netherlands. The Mole originated in Belgium. Survivor, The Apprentice, Fear Factor, The Bachelor, Beauty and the Geek and The Amazing Race series originated in the USA. Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen, Dancing with the Stars and Undercover Boss originated in the UK.
ACDC is an Australian formed band in Melbourne, Victoria in 1973. Beside one of them have a SCOTTISH HERITAGE , not a Scottish origin their is a difference.
This song was my childhood. I remember being 8, and rarely ever got to hear it, since by then it was fairly old. Even this singer at a bowling club hadn't heard it before.
white noise is a recording studio term which means the hiss which... say you record something quietly and turn it up you get a hiss. A bit like that. The useable bit of a recording lies between the white noise and the distortion. It is not racist.
it pisses me off that these guys are'nt on top of the world right now. So underrated, all of these whiny emo bands playing major chords without no soul. Ive seen these guys live and they blew me away
omfg, it was only the best night of my life!!! were you in the mosh or sitting?? i was in the mosh, it was epic but it was like the cooolest thing ever!! XD
@94bubbles94 Eh, but specifically, dawg: White noise is noise within the audible spectrum which contains equal power per given bandwidth. It it noise with a flat spectrum. Like, say, a computer generating random numbers. Or, like mephil said, the TV tuned to no station (most likely *not* white, but close!). Or, like if you were listening to a large number of different sized fans, from industrial fans to hand-held battery operated things... but not so much people talking :( Hooray for noise!
@Killacat1802 nah its his signiture model its basically a white falcon but with silver instead of gold different pickups and its got a smaller body ;D but he does have two white falcons :)
Matt Helders introduced me to this song... FUCKING LEGEND
@Paninja yea mate
i remember waking up in 2009 to this song on rage... best mornings ever
defs miss those days 😭
one of the most nostalgic moments of my childhood
2004-2011, being born 1999
Back when musicians were actually instrumentally talented and wore clothes! ❤🤟
jamie cook's dancing skills brought me here
Fuck off Clarence

Four margaritas
I remember this utter classic. Never stopped hearing it for about a year on the radio
Definitely one of the best Australian rock classics of all time !

It was a great song in my childhood. One person plays this song, and nostalgia brought me back here.

Well apparently the rest of Australia is about 6 months behind the rest of the Western world. Guess that applies to music trends as well.
I think the British have pretty good rock, although I'm probably still thinking about the 90s.
This is just an awesome song. From a great band
I don't watch footy anymore but let me guess in 2008 my favorite team Hawks won? damn I miss watching Buddy Franklin and rioly kicking goals.
Chris Cheney,, brilliant with the stage show of the Beatles "White Album:". EPIC!!! Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.
Why is that like button not hit till now? Only god knows
Somehow I can still remember the lyrics after all these years
Hamish Blair sameeeeeee and there still smashing
That's the way I found this song again, just all of a sudden the chorus lyrics were stuck in my head for no apparent reason hahaha.

It's awesome! By the koala that's your pic I'm guessing you're in Australia. I know this song because of Melbourne's rock station Triple M.
Took ages to work this song out on guitar, then when I finally worked it out, I realised it's in a completely different tuning. Doh.
Well spotted sir.
2008 nostalgia
Or I’m hearing from you is what noise so only now I can smile 😊
