Great video for beginners man! Keep it up. Personally not a fan of the S&P 500 (I prefer ESG) due to the sheer number of alcohol/tobacco/nuclear/war/fossil fuel companies but for many it’s the perfect option
Thank you Wajahat. I agree that when you have the knowledge and ability to make your own informed decision, it becomes more personalised. But I guess the S&P500 is good for beginners.
Just out of interest, do you know of any good ESG's? I was also worried about the companies in the S&P 500 as I am very environmentally/vegan orientated. Thanks 🙂
@@WajahatMughal Thank you so much... I've looked at a few index funds with the likes of Beyond Meat and Oatly included..Redefine Meat too..There are so many! Do you know anything about VEVE/VFEM verses VWRL? Thank you 🙂
@@Jubair194 I have a question if you don' mind.. I am new to investing and like the managed investment account that Investengine offers but I also want to be able to buy my own choice of stocks currently while the market is low. For example I'm looking at putting some money into Tesla stocks asap. Is this possible with a managed account or would I only be able to do it with a DIY account? Cheers for any advice you can give dude.
@@chrisprophet9699 I strongly advise against choosing individual stocks because it's very risky. You should look into investing into index funds such as the s&p500. You would have to do it as a DIY account, but you can have both.
Great video you have here, very succinct.
Thanks for the info
And thank you for watching

4:13 Just to add on to your point, there are costs that apply to holding your funds.
Ongoing charges so apply, yes. They are about 0.07% which I think is a very small amount.
@@Jubair194 pretty sure it's dependent on the ETF. They don't cost the same.
@@ZOMBIE2LIFE depends on the fund of course, but around 0.07%, can be higher yes.
@@Jubair194 For an S&P 500 ETF would be 0.07%. It's just not good to generalise cos it'll just confuse beginners.
@@ZOMBIE2LIFE Absolutely correct, thanks for spotting!
