Looks like an excellent treatment - thanks for this informative explanation. The message here is very positive … it is truly remarkable how technology has assisted in making these extremely close tolerance procedures a reality . Thanks again

The only possible cancer I could have had was maybe Uveal melanoma. But we don’t know. Yet my pain in my upper back radiating around to my ribcage, very unbearable at night. The MRI showed problems at T-2 and at T-12. Radiologist impression is:
Abnormal marrow signal at T2 and T12 concerning for osseous metastatic disease.
Now awaiting biopsy of the areas of concern.
This is very very painful at night.

I am being treated with Opdivo for malignant melanoma. I have had 5 treatments now. My PET scan in March showed no metabolic activity. About mid June I started to get an extremely sharp pain in my T7 area when I got out of bed in the morning. Within about 10 minutes or so everything went back to normal. Yesterday, July 26th I had another PET scan as an MRI from previous week showed a Lytic lesion that wasn’t there on my March 30th PET scan. All other areas of the PET scan were negative. Following is the language copied from the radiology report. “BONES:
New hypermetabolic lytic lesion involving the right T7 vertebral body measuring 1.1 x 0.8 x 0.9 cm with a maximum SUV of 15.5.”
Does your ablation procedure treat something like this? Just not exactly sure what is next right now as I haven’t had a chance to talk to my oncologist at Indiana University. I just am trying to be as educated as I can before my appointment with him. Thank you much.

Hi Jim, I hope you are well and received a treatment that worked for you. I'd be interested in finding out what they recommended if you'd be so kind. My partner has something similar, also from melanoma, and we're assessing our options. Thank you.

My husband just started radiation therapy this week. He has colorectal cancer that has metastases to his liver and now his spine. His cancer was stable and responding well but he had injured his back carrying heavy equipment. I don't think he has a tumor on his spine but just cancer cells in his T8. Does this procedure work only on tumors? He is recieving care with City of Hope, can we also receive care from your facility?
