Fun fact: Diego was supposed to die but the voice actor convinced the creators to let him live cause " you don't want a bunch of kids crying in a movie theater "😅

Scrat was always the main culprit to the earth’s destruction
The mom barely had strength as you can see she was barely holding on with that current. Only thing giving her strength was keeping her baby alive. So once Manny had a hold of him her body just gave out and got taken by the water’s current. Obviously they can’t show her dead body since it’s a movie meant for kids
I always tear up a bit at the scene with Manny and the baby when you see the cave paintings on the wall, I think it’s so touching and so well done they didn’t even have to use words to explain
A bunch of us got this movie to keep the kids entertained at a BBQ. It ended up with the girlfriends and kids cooking the bbq and ten grown, bearded, tattooed up men glued to the tv drinking beers and watching iceage..🤣
Next week we borrowed Nemo to keep the kids entertained 😂

While its not a confirmed fact, but so far evidence shows that mammoths were not just viewed as prey but also viewed as sacred by early man. So mom passing the baby to the mammoth, she knew baby was safe.
Side note: Mammoths and dodo's are both on the top of the list to be genetically brought back. Work on the mammoth has already started.
Sloths weren't originally slow until humans hunted them to near extinction, and the little slow ones were the only ones to survive and breed till we get the sloths we have now.

The mom was clearly very tired from fighting the current.. After she gives the baby to Manny she most likely drifted down the river and drowned, but they can't show that in G rated movie.
sad and heartbreaking thing is something like this happened in real life with Naya Rivera and her son
The mom did die. The impact from the jump down the waterfall was too much for her body and she only had enough strength to leave her baby with Manny and Sid
12:00 she died! How much clearer could a kids movie be??
The mom was too injured going over the falls to survive. She hung on just long enough to get her baby to safety.

The reason this movie hits so hard is the Christian message. Diego believed in “an eye for an eye,” as the lead tiger said. But the decisive moment to change his heart was Mannys example of forgiveness and willingness to help a human baby 🙂 and how hard must it have been for Diego to turn on his own pack! This is why modern kids movies lack such heart… they’re devoid of that message
we could do with less "Christian messages"

17:01 it’s ironic that he’s judging them when the dodo bird actually lived way way longer than the mammoth with the dodo bird go extinct in the 1600s due to humans arriving on their island which I think is near China.
