    Hello sir, what is your opinion in using ganong as the main text book? As its quiet concise than guyton and i have skimmed through certain chapters and i dont find any problem in reading it. Should i use it as a main textbook and make notes out of it for university exams? What is your opinion

    • @VivekSirsPhysiology
      @VivekSirsPhysiology  7 дней назад +2

      @@akkshatmohapatra3899 Ganong is a "review" of physiology. It is for those who have already read (and understood) the Physiology. However, if you are comfortable with it, then, actually there is no match to Ganong. Ultimate book. Certainly for toppers. Once your college begins, take the previous years' Q bank, and try to write some of the long Question answers. If you could write, then simply continue with Ganong.

      @@im_ayush.45 The phrase "enough" has different meanings for different students. Enough for - concepts or 50% or 70% or distinction. Guyton is good , of course, for concepts. Ganong is a "review"; for someone who knows physiology well. So, for concepts, Guyton is good. For answer writing, guyton is a bit difficult. So I suggested indian author.

      Guyton + notes will be a perfect combination. You may finalize it.
      When college starts, go to the library. Read a topic from 3-4 books. See which one suits your reading. And finalize it.

      @@_DOMA_0417 Guyton & Hall is the best book for concept building. However, answer making is a bit difficult. Every year's experience is - students take guyton in the beginning. For theory, my first preference is G K Pal. But, with G K Pal, you will have to study very regularly. Only then can you finish a large chunk of it. If you want a smaller and simpler book, sembulingham or A K Jain. (I would prefer sembulingham). Once college starts, go to library. Read a particular topic from these 3-4 books, and see which one suits you the most. Buy that book.
