You’re welcome I wonder why they don’t come with a remote? How do you start inflating it? Just plug it in? Just wondering. I’ve had mine for quite a few years that may be why I have a remote.
Great video! I was on the fence wanting something cheaper, but you’re right! It’s the same as my deductible and nothing will work as well. I had an old Honda get totaled by hail and the payout wasn’t nearly enough for a new car
I have one and live on Colorado where hail hits spring summer, fall. These are only good at home . Away from home are not useful. At home yes , you can deploy, have power outlet, then go inside. But most hail storms don't hit at night when youre home they are during day when your at work, or away from home . These ARE NOT useful . Because there's no way to deploy fast on the road, theres no seams to allow to open doors or hatch trunk to get in the vehicle when hail hits.
Yes, I agree it’s not useful if you are traveling and then need to use it on a trip. You can set it up on a trip with the supplied battery kit. But you need the time to set it all up. No you can’t get in the car and inflate it. But if your at home and you have the appropriate weather information you can set it up well ahead of the storm. If the storm produces hail your car will be protected. Too easy!
Wow cool thanks for the instructions. Im going to forward this to my son in law. He has a new Dodge Challenger and to Cory's garage RUclips for when ge dosen't have enough room in the garage for all the vehicles.
These things have a serious design flaw. The white bladder is not stitched to the outer shell to prevent the white bladder from protruding out from under the bottom…I have one for my crew cab and one for my jeep grand Cherokee and both do the same thing.
Mine works great! As long as I have it stretched all the way over my car the inside bladder doesn’t show at all. May you have the wrong size for your vehicle. With the no bladder or bladder showing it still does a great job doing what it’s supposed to do and that protecting my car from hail damage.
I've looked into this before but I think it is time to make the investment. Storms coming in less than 24 hours so I'll have to find an alternative DYI method for those. Moving blankets, cardboard, and some LARGE plastic bags held down with bungee cords attached to the wheels or something. Thanks for the video, Gray!
Yes, the hail protector is a great product. It has saved me on countless occasions. But if you don’t have one. I agree blankets, cardboards and a nice car cover will also help as well to minimize hail damage. Thanks for the comment!!!
I would say about 10-15 mins. It takes a little bit for the are to seep out. I lost power last night during the storm. But I have a powered surge protector. So the hail stayed inflated. The GMC Typhoon was all good this morning.
That sucks. I’m sorry to hear that. Freaking Hail!!! Texas weather, the storm just popped up. I didn’t even know we were supposed be getting any rain let alone thunderstorms. I live in Mckinney. We got thunderstorms and a little hail. Nothing too crazy. Thanks for the comment!! ✌🏾
I’ve never used it with the batteries. I’ve always only plugged it up in the garage. But I will say the fan are very powerful so I don’t think you could get more than about an hour out of the batteries.
@Sytyvette1 I was thinking it wouldn't last long with those 4 fans and you saying they were powerful. Would have been good though if they did last. Need it for work when I don't have my carport. Well glad you had this video to inform me. Very helpful
Wind is no problem as long as you have it installed on the vehicle properly. I wish I could send you some videos of this thing in some rain and hail from the Gods type thunder storms. It held up well no problems. TFTC!✌🏾
I received this 1 week ago and called them to return it since I received a email stating that there was a issue in production and that I had to fix/rearrange the 4 blowers, the box has NEVER been opened and I decided that I no longer wanted it and called to return it, they are having me pay for the return even though it is a production issue, their customer service is horrible and this is totally unacceptable and dishonest, STAY AWAY.
Way too long to deploy in an emergency situation. I want something similar to a yoga mat type material that is mounted on a roller where you can pop your trunk and just pull it all the way to the front bumper and cover the entire top of the car
You really can't find anything rated for hail under 400. I'm thinking about some pool noodles with a decent cover stretched tight over them. My vehicle isn't worth enough for a 400 dollar cover but I don't want to replace the windows.
@Sytyvette1 Just got the SUV2 size. I like it seems would work Like the way it protects the sides as I got damage from all sides when hail hit last year.
Oh, yeah it works!! If you set it up and air it up correctly it will stop large size hail from damaging your car. It has saved you me on several occasions. There’s also a lot of videos of the guy who designed the hail protector. Do a search on RUclips.
Fail ,,,By the time it takes you to inflate tie ropes and all this other shenanigans the vehicle is destroyed by the HAIL storm and has moved on...Nice try though..
That’s why you have to set it up before the storm gets to you. Before the wind and rain starts. In all it takes me about 10mins to get it all set up and ready to go. It works for me. It truly has saved my car a number of times. Thanks for the comment!!✌🏾
Storm already passed by the time you set this bad boy up
TFTC!✌🏾
Mine didn’t come with a remote. Was trying to hook it up earlier but, directions aren’t easy. Your video is more useful. Thank you.
You’re welcome I wonder why they don’t come with a remote? How do you start inflating it? Just plug it in? Just wondering. I’ve had mine for quite a few years that may be why I have a remote.
Great video thinking about buying one living in Missouri
You should,It works great for me. TFTC!✌🏾

I had an old Honda get totaled by hail and the payout wasn’t nearly enough for a new car
Yep it has protected my car from major hail damage at least 5 times! It’s a great product! Thanks for the comment!!

You can actually use a wifi extension cord and inflate it when needed.
Thanks, good to know.
Great video, they should sponsor you! I like your idea about using the clamps on the cinching PVC and as a weight to get the straps under the vehicle.
10/4, thanks for the comment!!
Just ordered. Brand new truck got trashed after hailstorm. Great job
Thanks!!
Excellent video!
Thanks!!✌🏾
Great video. I know it comes with an app for the weather. Do you use the app or do you just watch the weather reports on the news?
No i don’t use the app. I just watch the weather.
Wow cool thanks for the instructions. Im going to forward this to my son in law. He has a new Dodge Challenger and to Cory's garage RUclips for when ge dosen't have enough room in the garage for all the vehicles.
Good he won’t be disappointed. 👍🏾

Great protection from Texas storms!
Yes it’s fantastic!! The videos on your channel are great, I can’t stop watching them. Good stuff bro! Thanks for everything.
How fast does it deflate once the fan loses power? We usually lose power in Texas when it's hailing out
I would say about 10-15 mins. It takes a little bit for the are to seep out. I lost power last night during the storm. But I have a powered surge protector. So the hail stayed inflated. The GMC Typhoon was all good this morning.
@Sytyvette1 thanks for the info my denali hd got dinged up last night

Thanks!!
Hail Protector no longer comes with a the junction box or remote. They said that they only come with a on/off flip switch
That must be a new thing. I bought mine 3yrs. ago. TFTC!✌🏾
Great review!
Thanks!! ✌🏾
Thanks for the informative vid, but would you trust that on the Vette during a heavy hail storm?
Hail yeah!! lol!! Yes sir I would.
How long does the 8 batteries last?
I’ve never used it with the batteries. I’ve always only plugged it up in the garage. But I will say the fan are very powerful so I don’t think you could get more than about an hour out of the batteries.

@bctiger86 10/4, no worries. 👍🏾
So the fans need to pump air all the time ?
Yes, to keep it inflated.
I turn it off once the storm passes.
What about wind? Every hail storm has 30-40 mph winds. Try setting it up on a windy day to see how easy it is & how stable.

Wow that sucks. I’m sorry to hear that. I have had no issues whatsoever.
I really like this, Thanks for making this video!!
Thanks bro!
Can I get the link plz from where we can buy I need one
Here is the link. Hail Protector CAR1 Size Portable Car Cover System for Coupe, Sedan and Wagon a.co/d/8Ejcy3C
You should’ve thrown something to it so we can see if really works…
Trust me it works great!!! I wouldn’t put it on my channel if it didn’t work. TFTC!!✌🏾
Way too long to deploy in an emergency situation. I want something similar to a yoga mat type material that is mounted on a roller where you can pop your trunk and just pull it all the way to the front bumper and cover the entire top of the car
Nice! Now that’s an idea. TFTC!✌🏾
@@Sytyvette1 be quiet

Yeah, some thick moving blankets and a decent car cover will definitely help mitigate some of the damage.
@@Sytyvette1I had a 7 layer plus another cover that was claimed to be hail protection and 3 moving blankets and got 24K in hail damage
Wow!!! That sucks. I’m pretty sure the Hail Protector would have saved you. TFC!✌🏾
@Sytyvette1 Just got the SUV2 size. I like it seems would work
Like the way it protects the sides as I got damage from all sides when hail hit last year.
Yes it protects all sides of the car!! Thanks for the comment!!
Did anyone test this by throwing a tennis ball sized stone on the car from the building? I'm not convinced this would work.
Oh, yeah it works!! If you set it up and air it up correctly it will stop large size hail from damaging your car. It has saved you me on several occasions. There’s also a lot of videos of the guy who designed the hail protector. Do a search on RUclips.

Too much m@sturbation over nothing 😀 It's just a car, dude
Nope, it’s not just a car it’s a GMC Typhoon!! If you know you know and obviously you don’t know. TFTC!✌🏾
@@Sytyvette1 I don't, indeed. To me any car is just a car, dude

I’m very disappointed with the cover is a completely fraudulent 😮
Why are you disappointed with the cover? I’m just asking. Don’t get mad. 😡
Why is it fraudulent? Looks like it would work if it's setup correctly
No, it works great!! It’s just a little bit of a chore to get it all set up. TFC!✌🏾
It does look like it takes a lot of time to set up, which is a turn-off for me. Like the concept, though.
It’s a little bit of a pain to set up but it works great!! Thanks for the comment!!!✌🏾
