      You’re welcome I wonder why they don’t come with a remote? How do you start inflating it? Just plug it in? Just wondering. I’ve had mine for quite a few years that may be why I have a remote.

    Great video! I was on the fence wanting something cheaper, but you’re right! It’s the same as my deductible and nothing will work as well.
    I had an old Honda get totaled by hail and the payout wasn’t nearly enough for a new car

    I have one and live on Colorado where hail hits spring summer, fall. These are only good at home . Away from home are not useful. At home yes , you can deploy, have power outlet, then go inside.
    But most hail storms don't hit at night when youre home they are during day when your at work, or away from home . These ARE NOT useful . Because there's no way to deploy fast on the road, theres no seams to allow to open doors or hatch trunk to get in the vehicle when hail hits.

    • @Sytyvette1
      @Sytyvette1  Год назад +1

      Yes, I agree it’s not useful if you are traveling and then need to use it on a trip. You can set it up on a trip with the supplied battery kit. But you need the time to set it all up. No you can’t get in the car and inflate it. But if your at home and you have the appropriate weather information you can set it up well ahead of the storm. If the storm produces hail your car will be protected. Too easy!

      You can actually use a wifi extension cord and inflate it when needed.

    These things have a serious design flaw. The white bladder is not stitched to the outer shell to prevent the white bladder from protruding out from under the bottom…I have one for my crew cab and one for my jeep grand Cherokee and both do the same thing.

    • @Sytyvette1
      @Sytyvette1  Месяц назад

      Mine works great! As long as I have it stretched all the way over my car the inside bladder doesn’t show at all. May you have the wrong size for your vehicle. With the no bladder or bladder showing it still does a great job doing what it’s supposed to do and that protecting my car from hail damage.

    I've looked into this before but I think it is time to make the investment. Storms coming in less than 24 hours so I'll have to find an alternative DYI method for those. Moving blankets, cardboard, and some LARGE plastic bags held down with bungee cords attached to the wheels or something. Thanks for the video, Gray!

    How fast does it deflate once the fan loses power? We usually lose power in Texas when it's hailing out

    • @Sytyvette1
      @Sytyvette1  Год назад +1

      I would say about 10-15 mins. It takes a little bit for the are to seep out. I lost power last night during the storm. But I have a powered surge protector. So the hail stayed inflated. The GMC Typhoon was all good this morning.

      I’ve never used it with the batteries. I’ve always only plugged it up in the garage. But I will say the fan are very powerful so I don’t think you could get more than about an hour out of the batteries.

    • @bctiger86

    What about wind? Every hail storm has 30-40 mph winds. Try setting it up on a windy day to see how easy it is & how stable.

    • @Sytyvette1
      @Sytyvette1  8 месяцев назад +1

      Wind is no problem as long as you have it installed on the vehicle properly. I wish I could send you some videos of this thing in some rain and hail from the Gods type thunder storms. It held up well no problems. TFTC!✌🏾

    I received this 1 week ago and called them to return it since I received a email stating that there was a issue in production and that I had to fix/rearrange the 4 blowers, the box has NEVER been opened and I decided that I no longer wanted it and called to return it, they are having me pay for the return even though it is a production issue, their customer service is horrible and this is totally unacceptable and dishonest, STAY AWAY.

    Way too long to deploy in an emergency situation. I want something similar to a yoga mat type material that is mounted on a roller where you can pop your trunk and just pull it all the way to the front bumper and cover the entire top of the car

    You really can't find anything rated for hail under 400. I'm thinking about some pool noodles with a decent cover stretched tight over them. My vehicle isn't worth enough for a 400 dollar cover but I don't want to replace the windows.

    • @Sytyvette1
      @Sytyvette1  Год назад +1

      Yeah, some thick moving blankets and a decent car cover will definitely help mitigate some of the damage.

      Oh, yeah it works!! If you set it up and air it up correctly it will stop large size hail from damaging your car. It has saved you me on several occasions. There’s also a lot of videos of the guy who designed the hail protector. Do a search on RUclips.

    • @Sytyvette1

      That’s why you have to set it up before the storm gets to you. Before the wind and rain starts. In all it takes me about 10mins to get it all set up and ready to go. It works for me. It truly has saved my car a number of times. Thanks for the comment!!✌🏾
