Having just watched The Rock's recent run in the WWE, I legit get the feeling he'd rather be wrestling. You could tell he was having the time of his life. If he hadn't made film commitments for the next few months, he'd still be on WWE tv.
So was saying Dwayne Johnson his favorite movie star after Ryan Renolds trolling? Was he insulting the Rock? Because I can’t image anyone being serious about that being someone’s top 2 favorite movie stars. Especially since their entire persona is loving movies.

I don’t know what to think of this article but what I do know is that Dwayne Johnson needs to reinvent himself. By looking at his filmography, his last films since the beginning of the pandemic have not been as good as they could have been. The best received movie he did in the last few years was DC League of Super-Pets. Moana 2 and the live action Moana will do well because of the brand recognition but he really needs a movie that audiences will embrace because it’s good.
Imagine if one of us was that unprofessional and was always late to our jobs. We'd certainly not still be making millions. I get it as a huge star he may have a ton of commitments but you've chosen this line of work, signed a contract and made a commitment. And if you're choosing to do a 3-hour workout instead of working then just go be a pro bodybuilder.
Loved the peoples champion Rock in his early day with hair and sideburns. He was the second coming of Hulk Hogan. However I was never a fan of his movies. His nice guy persona is a facade - He doesn’t care about anyone who works under him, and he only cares about his fans so far as they feed his own ego. In short, Dwayne is the biggest phony in the industry.
wow, is he really that late?
@@sodeiku I would say the average on Black Adam was around 5 hours, but there were definitely times when it reached 7 or 8, and even days where we waited and waited until he eventually just decided not to come in at all.
@@RyanKonig idc if he's not nice sometimes , he's human, as long as he does not start to assault people
but coming late...
i lost respect for the guy, what happened to hardest worker in the room
i wander why this Hollywood actors make trends about coming late, i heard Tom Hardy is also notoriously always late
Nothing is surprising anymore… he’s a great guy for wwe nostalgia n business savy. But…
Jumanji - crybaby used vehicles from A to B when others were walking/going together.
Fast n furious - need I say more?
Black Adam - throw your weight around against the dark lords of WB
All his movies - his appalling misuse of stunt doubles on scenes…yuck
2024 truly is the year of truth
Im the biggest Rock fan to ever live!!! But I 100% believe this story, he was recently 1-2 hour late to a fan press for Wrestlemania.
Being 1-2 hours late is one thing, but 7-8? That is just absurd. I don't care how big of a star he is, I'm shocked his career has lasted this long.
@@movieman82us ya but it’s pointing out a pattern
Hollywood should have never overpaid him in the first place
Sorry your not a nice person when your setting people's dollars on fire.
i know someone that's a chronic late shower for any sort of event. it drives me nuts every time
The hierarchy in Holywood is about to change. (Ps. The rock has always been overrated. Terrible actor. No range. One dimensional. Toxic ego. And all round arsehole)
I understand your frustration
Yea, Rock gotta lose his ego if that's the case. He hurting himself with this
Yes I agree
Drill Sergeant always said if you're not early, you're late
I thought their was a story about reynolds being upset about this on red notice
8 hours late is tomroow 😂😂
If you're going to praise The Rock's workout regime, you need to also acknowledge that he's been on steroids for decades.
why?
@@jusomcpBecause his whole ‘gym hustle’ brand promotes a lifestyle that is unsustainable, and a physique that is literally unachievable… all under the guise of “hard work.” There’s no debate that he obviously works incredibly hard on his body, but he wouldn’t have that body without steroids. People deserve more transparency with these sort of things, I wish actors were more outspoken about it.
@Cloudy_Games_99 personally I think that's what happened to Jonathan Majors, he was jacked up for Creed 3 and he was coming off it but probably still had some after effects of roid rage when his incident happened.
Well this aged like fine milk
Wasn’t that his whole beef with Vin Diesel?
Hi John! Thanks and appreciate the coverage! - UG
Having just watched The Rock's recent run in the WWE, I legit get the feeling he'd rather be wrestling. You could tell he was having the time of his life. If he hadn't made film commitments for the next few months, he'd still be on WWE tv.
$250m for a Santa Claus movie? WTF?!
250M OVER whatever the budget was.
@@curtjames are you kidding me? I gotta rewatch now. That has to be a gaffe by John.
@@curtjames No, no, no. $250M was the total cost. They originally budgeted for $200M. That is only $50M over.
Anyone else just skip to robs portion of these videos? 😂😂
So was saying Dwayne Johnson his favorite movie star after Ryan Renolds trolling? Was he insulting the Rock?
Because I can’t image anyone being serious about that being someone’s top 2 favorite movie stars. Especially since their entire persona is loving movies.
right? i like deadpool as much as the next guy, but lets be honest here, he is a 1 trick pony. even his deadpool is not really deadpool, its ryan reynolds...
Dear God that thumbnail is scary😂
He is not a nice person if he doesn't respect other people's time. This means he is a phony person.
It's on the studio if they allow this behavior. Maybe they should start deducting the lost production costs from their checks.
Ballers, Rampage, Black Adam, Fast and Furious films, Red Notice and lets not forget the Hawaii incident.
He said what about Vin Diesel now?
My first thought when I heard about this.
Exactly! He said whatever he needed to say to get the spotlight off of his @$$.
So all the shit he talked about Vin then he goes and does the same thing he was mad at Vin for smh 🤦
Show me a hero and I’ll show you a bumb
Batman rich kid who inherited a fortune 🤣😂
Isn’t this sort of thing the basis of his alleged beef with Vin?!
As big a name Schwarzenegger was I always saw the characters he played (Dutch, The Terminator, John Matrix, Conan etc.). Aside from The Scorpion King, I can’t get past “The Rock” playing “The Rock”. I don’t see the character I just see a big bald man called “The Rock”. I hate to say this because I know he has worked extremely hard to be where he is and he deserves every once of his Stardom!
I hate being late because it messes up my work day. I usually 15 to 30 minutes early to work.
He will change his ways when the projects are not coming in!
Plus, Amazon claiming that the budget for Red One didn't balloon to 250M, but that it was actually *greenlit* at that budget is not the flex they think it is. I fail to see how this movie breaks even.
Hm, this might explain why we never got a Rampage 2, which I thought was a surprisingly fun spectacle movie.
Why is he not fined for the over time..?
Seems easier than it is made out to be...
Phone calls go a long way..??
Selfishness is all there is to it...
That's what is wrong is with the world...
Do unto others as you want to be done...?
I agree. The money the movie looses because of his lateness should be taken directly out of his paycheck
If your consistently late for a job in any other sector your fired, the money he’s on is SO disrespectful to be even 1 minute late !
Why can’t the producers set up a pre filming contract where the Rock is penalised $1 million for each hour he is late and he gets a bonus if the filming is completed on time?
Wouldn’t that solve the issue?
Because he’s usually IS a producer on the movie 💀
@@rwp1812 At the end of the day, though, it's the studio who's in charge, so based on what John said about studios being tired of the Rock's bullshit, they're probably thinking it's finally time to put their foot down.
you said it perfectly John.... it's... disappointing to hear this. I hope he realizes his fault and change.
Never put your heroes in a pedestal , the ones the often try to put a good image are the worst
WWE Diva behavior 😂
Being late is disrespectful to anyone waiting. It’s over for Dewayne
Makes you rethink some of the issues him and vin had on some of the fast movies
who could be more late lol
The Rock does not look like the Rock being lazy. Why would any movie studio cast him if they know he is going to cost them an extra 50 million for being late?
