I've had it leak once but overall its great stuff. I've since switched to that rapid blue stuff, £26 for 250ml so about 4x cheaper than 577 and that shit sets solid in seconds.
I prefer the blue stuff aswell cause its a lil bit more runny just be careful with that carpet , price is right, and your right it set like stone, ive had couple leaks with 577, never with the blue stuff,
Haha, my brother has started using some blue stuff and it is cheaper too. The only problem I'd say is if you get a dribble on the carpets the brown stuff is easier to get out or at least look like it has been taken out
Why are you advising people to use a product that makes life harder to carry out future works, when PTFE is tried, tested, excellent at its job and makes the fitting easy to undo at a later date. Your trying to be clever but actually your just being lazy.
I've heard about this stuff, but now I know you use and recommend it, I'll use it myself. Thanks.
Ive used it for 5 yrs never leaked
Thank You

Blue stuff is mint use it all the time. Tried getting a rad tail out once with it on had no chance so heated it up which helped.
Hemp and Boss White !
Never had a leak. PTFE on a cylinder never like it. Liquid versions OK until you need to remove fitting😂
How is it when your disconnecting a fitting or removing it
You can still remove it. Thanks.
@@AllenHart999 so as easy as if it had tpfe on it then ?
Can't beat ptfe
Blast from the past, I haven't used that for years.
I used 577 all the time in oil and gas pipework.
Had a few leaks with it. I'm on the blue stuff now, can't remember it's name.

Jet blue or jet white is good aswell
Where do you get your jet blue?
Thank You
A solvent or SF7063 should be used before using 577. reason for leaks.
Thank You
How do you unscrew it?
Heat it up.
Thank You
Good question you don't probably or maybe heat it up
comes out if needed.
Much better off with the tape and plumb blue
Thank You
All good till you try to replace or change them nightmare
Alan will do anything to not use tape on threads or solder joints 😂
577 is only for use with water up to 23°C.
Source? Loctite say -55 to + 150 C
@@ItsFriscoBaby WRAS approval
@Swwils so it's not only for use with water upto 23°c then is it. It just means after that temp it's no longer WRAS approved.
@@craigwatson7692 ya.
Thank You
Never had one leak either
Thank You
Stag Jointing Paste , Ok I am showing my age ! lol

You can still take it out after. I have used Loctite for the last 8 years.
Don’t like it 455 in the best
