I totally disagree with sunil gavaskar's words if mumbai cricket is strong, indian cricket is strong. Kapil dev, mohinder amarnath, ganguly, dravid, dhoni, yuvraj, kohli, kumble all are non mumbaikars and they are one of the reasons for Indian cricket's position today.
But impactful batsman are mainly from mumbai .....someone has lived or had played from mumbai will understand this
@Daksh Jhamb bhai tu sunil sir ko bol raha he kya ?
@@andregeorge6271 scoring runs is different, winning world cups and scoring impactful innings in cricket is different. U may get a consistent player from mumbai but when it comes to do some magic then u may up end up calling someone like yuvi Or kapil dev. They were from chandigarh, I'm from chandigarh and chandigarh has produced two of the most impactful allrounders ever in the history of game but we don't have ego even though soo much talent persued in chd

I loved every minute of this video. So great to get an insight into what's going on in India and mumbai's cricket.
When Nasser Hussain was playing International cricket, his good soul and polite nature was never seen. Never judge a book by it's cover. He will remembered as one of the greats in the times to come .
White line fever, I'd say
That's a profound discovery, to hear it like that.

Yes, that would be fun, but I guess Mumbai cricket is iconic.
@@IITianProudIndian yes Bangalore is the next big city after Mumbai at least when it comes to cricket . Perhaps even bigger than the capital. It is a different matter that both the capital and the IT capital haven't really done well in the IPL.

Test cricket is the ultimate and nothing can replace it.
The last line aptly captures Mumbai: "Heart and soul of World cricket"
The people made you feel so welcome amazing
Naseer is just a sweet gentleman 😊
Nice of Nasser to spend some time with the kids. I always loved Test cricket played in England because there are so many results. The problem for Test cricket is not the format, it is the flat tracks that don't allow a great competition between the bat and the ball. Else, Test cricket is the ultimate game.
10:54 I believe that the IPL can play a major role in getting a player into the national side and then eventually the test team, so it obviously is a great platform for opportunities
Yes many of them don't understand that

All great 'Episodes'. Superbly done. Thank you Nass. You are as good a commentator and presenter as you were as a cricketer and captain. And, of course, thank you Sky Sports.
Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Yashasvi Jaiswal are some of the amazing cricketers coming out of Bombay over the last 2-3 years and there are lots more including the likes of Shivam Dubey etc who are sure to make a mark in Indian cricket one format or the other. Without a doubt as Nasser said, the city Bombay/Mumbai is the heart and soul of the world.
Nasser is my hero. What a brilliant human being.
Thank you Sky and Nassir, Wonderful series of Videos brought back old memories of my cricketing days School team, Mumbai team 👍 yes as Mr Madhav Apte said Mumbai cricket for more 100 years. May The Lion Keeps Roaring.

This is great from Nasser. How many of the indian players visited those children and Dharavi after becoming super stars with a true intent like Nasser had
Hey, let's give Ravi a break! He drinks for happiness! For goodness sake, he's the coach of Virat & his team!
All three episodes are so greatly made I'm loving it
Nasser doing absolute bits this whole lockdown! Well done Sky!
Nasser is my favorite commentator and cricket expert. He is the best in the business. Top documentary
No matter what,Test cricket is the ultimate one.
Ipl is the future
Mohamed Yusuf ipl fixing league lol
As a American who follow cricket for almost 10 years, Test cricket is the ultimate format, but T20 is where the money is at. There is another format that can take cricket to worldwide recognition which is the T10 format which could led the sport to being an Olympic sport. Even though the English invented the game, the South Asians especially Indians helped expanded the game. Here in America, baseball participation has declined over the last two decades because the sport gotten too expensive and games lasted over 3 hours. Other issues caused the decline of the sport here in America.

11:31 Mumbai ~ Heart and soul of world cricket 💛❤️
Nasser Hussain I always used to cheated 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Absolutely killed me 😂🔥”Bunk off lesson”
Today hockey World Cup is being played in India, I can say 90 percent of India may be unaware. Why people from India Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh etc have made cricket it's religion? British taught soccer, hockey and cricket. India adopted cricket its passion. Simple reason is it's a game of convenience. It requires skill and little fitness and stamina. In cricket if you cannot bowl fast like Brett Lee become Ashwin and Bhaji. Even Inzamam ul Haq types can become world champs scoring tons. Running between the wickets you run in your own timing, in Fielding you chase the ball in your own timing. In batting ball comes to you. There is never toe to toe neck to neck competition. Whereas in games like soccer, basketball, track and field etc you require enormous amount of speed, stamina and fitness. Opponent stretches you in all these parameters. To beat Maradona you have to beat him not only in skill but also in terms of speed, stamina and fitness. So is with Bolt, Micheal Jordon, Micheal Phleps, Nadal and Federer etc. It's an attitude. IF MONEY AND INFRASTRUCTURE ARE THE ONLY REQUIREMENT THAN PEOPLE FROM INDIA, PAKISTAN, SRILANKA AND BANGLADESH ETC SETTLED IN US, ENGLAND AND EUROPE would have played soccer and other games which are popular there. Who cares for cricket there? But there also they play cricket only. Today football and hockey are played only in villages. Cricket is played in cities and towns. Even England prides in English premier league EPL not cricket, India made IPL in cricket. Media sells what people like. India cannot produce heros in other games which require speed, stamina and fitness, try to find heros in cricket. You talk of Micheal Jordon, they will bring Tendulkar and Kohli, you talk of Micheal Phelps they will bring Tendulkar and Kohli, you talk of Bolt they will bring Tendulkar and Kohli, you talk of Nadal and Federer etc they will bring Tendulkar and Kohli. Recently during FIFA WC media brought a weird comparison between Messi and Tendulkar about their height, popularity , age, achievements etc. But one should know Messi is Messi because of his magical footballing skills which is engined by his mercurial lighting speed and incredible stamina and fitness. Indian cricketers cannot be compared to even state level footballers in terms of speed, stamina and fitness. India Pakistan, Srilanka Bangladesh etc are zero in other games can never be a sporting nation. Japan and Korea may be geographically Asian, but they have the attitude to compete with the best in the world be it technology economy and sports. Today they compete with top footballing nations and Europe in soccer. Make their presence felt.
Nice work Sir and team.
Best documentary on grass root cricket, especially Liked the ending with sleepy music.... Good job
" If Mumbai cricket is good Indian cricket is good " I don't think so... It is an collective performances from all states or individuals make Indian cricket in best way....
The passion that India has for sports are second to none. Cricket, Badminton, Tennis etc. Though we don't play football or swimming that well, the culture is being cultivated so it should happen soon.
