That big thick tire is a work of art. It’s sad that Harley had to cover it up with break lights and a plate holder. I do like the open back wheel look. It looks nice parked but amazing on the road when you see one in motion.
Hey Ali! I recently bought a Sportster S a month ago and I immediately put in this Kemimoto Tailtidy. It was great till yesterday I went on a ride and after a while I heard a crunch. I came back to realize that it was my Kemimoto Tailtidy. I suspect it was due to my Rear Shock Adjustment Knob being at it's lowest. I was wondering if you can tell me how many clicks was your Rear Shock Adjustment set to? I have currently decided to set mine at 12 Clicks.
Hey, yeah I assumed that would happen, I never checked my suspension, I believe it's on the factory setting as I never changed it but I'll check and let you know, but good point u mentioned this is gonna be an issue for alot of people then.
Nice video! Two questions; did you also consider their version of this that has the plate holder below the tail light, sort of like a rear fender extension, and also, are you adding lighting to the plate down beside the wheel?
Yes I did consider it but to be honest I don't like the placement of that version I personally wanted that rear tire to be exposed, secondly I'm not adding lighting to the plate beside the wheel, actually considering of getting a new attachment for the plate only since the one that came, I don't like the alignment and the holes don't align well for the Ontario plates.
I like this setup more than the other version. The problem with this is there's no light on the actual plate which is illegal. I can't decide on which one to get.
@@TheGuyAli yes but at the same time if you’re buying a “kit” I think it should go with it. The other version is also cool and I like it but I heard they rub with the rear tire so I’m really thinking about which one I’m getting.
I did not get a code during my first installation, however one time I reconnected the wires and it gave me a code, however it went away on its own after a while. You should be fine.
@@TheGuyAli I purchased the kit and it was DOD. I have a 23 sportster 2. Kemimoto wanted video proof etc. Sent it to them but we'll see. Also, how do you compensate for the license plate not having a light?
hi i have issue with lights blinking just like very randomly, stop signal works also with glitches. is that a cable or lights? im confused... anyone had same issue or heard about it?
Yeah that might be the issue cause from what I have heard the European models have a different system, meaning it will only accept after-market parts designed for those models. I had a similar issue when I was trying to buy another pair of tail lights from a different brand as they were not compatible with my US model, I would suggest maybe contacting kemi moto to confirm if the product support EU models, as I still may be wrong.
@@TheGuyAli the problem is in europe they dont sell anything i found so far, which might be similiar. onli Aliexpress cheap ones, which we all use :( maybe you remember any other products?
@andrew_aden I found this one brand I really wanted their tail lights, not sure if you will like the style, but I believe they are from Wunderkind its a German brand, I'm jealous cause it only supports EU models 😂, here's the link if your interested: wunderkind-custom.com/en/motorcycle-accessories-shop-details/1/test/419/led-indicator-taillight-combo-for-fender-without-splash-guard-sp1u-harley
I just got mine last week, will upgrade it, thanks for video
Good stuff. Very clean in the end. Thanks for sharing man. 👍🏾
Appreciate it brotha, that rear end reveals its beauty without that oem end piece.
@@TheGuyAli I agree 100%.
like it !!! off the frame from wheel. I can easily install a sissy bar; back rest for travel bag with no iight interference.
I bought this for my sportster s 2023 hope it works
Hopefully the kit is compatible with your model keep us updated if it works out

Exactly, couldn't have said it better myself.

Question.. will you still be able to put a back seat?
Yes you are able to

I agree I feel like you can install a separate light for the license plate which should not be too hard with some research.

@@kurtbacosa5587 that's true as a kit it should include a light, as it comes to rubbing so far I have not had any issues with my suspension settings
Is your bike the 2023 i keep reading comments about the connector does not fit the 2023 model
I have the 2022 model
I appreciate the video bro.
Hey Ali, did yours throw a code when you installed it? If yeah, what did you do about it or is it no big issue?
I did not get a code during my first installation, however one time I reconnected the wires and it gave me a code, however it went away on its own after a while. You should be fine.
Fantastic 👌
Did you add license plate lights if so do you have a video?
I did not add license plate lights as of yet, looking forward to it sometime in the future.
You recommend the side license plate vs back from them?
Yeah I guess personal preference. Both options are decent. However, I like the rear tire exposed with the side license plate option.

@carlosnavarro4758 that's unfortunate, hopefully they will get you a replacement.
@@TheGuyAli Was able to get a new one. Works great.
Can you make a video of installing license plate lights?
That would be super helpful!
Hello, could you please provide the reference (part number) of the kit you purchased ? Thank you

leave the bracket on as it was for sure; good protection vs a plate hanging out !! OMG your install is what I'd uninstall.
