It's funny how you didn't catch on the fact that the first song actually sounds different. Kitas voice actually fluctuates a lot, which didn't happen the first time when they played it. And the actual music sounds off too. It's not like they don't hit the notes and chords they supposed to, but timings are off, and as a result, it's sounds off as a whole. So yeah, that's actually a different track, and you in fact can hear the mistakes Bocchi is talking about.
I'll have to relisten then. Reading subtitles and the general distraction of everything for a reaction recording can make other input murky. Thanks for telling me!
Kinda sad, I hope this channel of all channels would catch the difference (seem like you listen to music a lot and stuffs)

We do listen to a lot of music, and I can usually hear when a band messes up live, but, like I said, there's a lot that goes into doing reactions, let alone ones with foreign languages that have you reading at the same time. I wouldn't call it sad, I'd call it an occupational hazard. There's a lot of things we miss during reactions to all sorts of anime.
Funny enough I think it was this episode and the click of Bocchi's solo/lead in for the second song is what caught a lot of people's attention with this show. That clip going viral is what caught my attention and made me binge the show

They actually play differently in the first song, specially the rhythm, they are kind of all over the place. But they probably could have played it worse, for a live performance that's not bad at all. But definitely bad for a studio recording.
Also that second song is such a bop, the bassline and the guitar go so well together, they are both very busy but complement each other pretty well. And very fun to play!
Will try and rewatch that. It's easy for me to get overwhelmed with the input from reading subtitles, hearing stuff, and all the recording stuff. I like that they did use a different track though. That's very cool for the production.
Ah yes the episode which made the Bocchi The Rock fandom Schizophrenic and also introduced my favourite ending song sung by Goddess Nijika herself Nani ga Warui.

Yeah if you go back and really just listen you can hear them rushing and dragging in parts, kitas vocals being unstable, and just a lack of cohesiveness between them. It is subtle but definitely there.
Others have said the same. I'm blaming having to read subtitles and having recording equipment monitoring take up brain power! 😆
In episode 6, when we met the drunken bassist, he was playing a street live performance of the song "That Band," which is the second song in this episode.
The difference between RYO and Kuri's bass lines is also interesting!
By the way, in episode 4, Bokuchi-chan and Kita-chan were practicing the first song "Guitar, Loneliness, and the Blue planet" together.
If you speed up the song 1.5 times, you can hear it.
They were practicing from the slowest speed, which shows that Bocchi is an excellent teacher who teaches from the basics.
