Hello. I drove down to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the old van this year, gave the castle a miss and went to the Linderhof Palace instead which had its own motorhome parking area. The monastery at Etal is well worth a visit and its free to.. I'm an HGV driver and was raised on the road in a truck, the memories i have of being in europe as a kid shaped my love of travel today 💯

Try coming up fürther north, there is somuch to see aswell. Beautiful old towns with Tudor style houses. The Lakes where the Dammbusters flew their raids. Old Castles etc keep up with the tour, these are things that the kids will never forget !👍
Ha ha we got the German alarm thing right in the market square in Rothenburg, everyone’s phone was going off, we wondered what the heck was going on. We also stopped at Nördlingen (thanks for the pig story, we wondered why they were everywhere) too on the way to Rothenburg (which I know you will love) Safe travels👍 Ady n Val

Funny you should say that I've got itchy ears and went to boots pharmacy Saturday and was told they can't look at it. Only do it Couple of days a week. In the end they did look at it and said it was inflamed. and I got some mild stuff was told can't give me any thing stronger I have to get prescriptions.from a doc, I mean how long would that take. Then told me to go to Specsavers. Who told me they only test Hearing nothing else.

We did the Romantic Road on our way home from Austria in August. Didn’t have much time to do it justice so will have to go back. We loved Rothenburg ob der Tauber, I am guessing that will be in next weeks video.

My sister and brother-in-law told us that it is mainly the smaller shops and they are doing it to avoid the bank charges for card transactions and some do it to fiddle the tax man a bit.

Initially I hated it as it was so different to the UK plus we were out on exercise every month lol but grew to love it. The shops, the food, the countryside and everything worked so well. Never put anything in your ear, a work collogue was told years back, only to put his elbow in his ear by an ear surgeon. I will use y little finger to scrape out anything near the entrance, but everyone's ears are different. The snag is that you cannot get replacements!
My son ended up at the hospital with cotton bud stuck in is ear was told don't put anything in your ear . lovely memories for the children to look back on what a great life .🐕🚍

A few years ago Germany didn't take Visa cards in supermarkets. We got to the checkout (with loads of wine, only type I drink), and we had to go through the basket and just buy the amount we could with the cash we had. Then go to a cash machine and come back to buy the rest which they had kept back for us. Why didn't you put some oil in your ear and that might have loosened it. Nordlingen one of my favourite places on romantic strasse. You should have currywurst on your sausage. Lovely

Yes, German is probably difficult for you, so fair try. But your pronunciation is quite funny at times. Neuschwanstein is pronounced as noy-s(h)wan-sty-n. (as in annoy, swan with a shhh sound, and pigsty with an n).
Could I gently offer a suggestion that there are numerous pronunciation websites which, in a few seconds will show you how to pronounce foreign place names. Of course we all make mistakes and none of us are perfect (least of all me) but, if you are monetising videos on RUclips it is perhaps incumbent and worth taking the time to get the pronunciation a bit better - shows respect for the country too? Nobody can expect perfection but I switched off a few moments in as I found the mispronunciation too distracting. Not trying to be hypercritical but constructive and hope it helps.
Cotton buds should never be used in ears, it is a very bad idea. If you need to clean your ears or remove wax you should use ear drops, which will soften and remove the wax.

The vaseline then acts as a waterproof barrier between the inside of the ear and the water. It is now known that ear buds can cause more harm than good.

Please stop using cotton buds in your ears you can do all sorts of damage your just pushing the wax in towards your ear drum you can also perforate your ear drum (poke a hole in it) ask any audiologist or ent clinic or even a GP they will all tell you ears are self cleaning it's fine to use them on the outside of your ear but please don't put them in your ear xx

@@Touringwiththekids A pharmacist advised me that to protect the ears when showering put vaseline on a cotton pad and place that in the ear, but don’t push it right in. The vaseline then acts as a waterproof barrier between the inside of the ear and the water. It is now known that ear buds can cause more harm than good.

Please stop using cotton buds in your ears you can do all sorts of damage your just pushing the wax in towards your ear drum you can also perforate your ear drum (poke a hole in it) ask any audiologist or ent clinic or even a GP they will all tell you ears are self cleaning it's fine to use them on the outside of your ear but please don't put them in your ear xx

The brothers set out to create a dictionary that would allow the inhabitants in different parts of the country to understand eachother but on their travels heard a lot of local folk tales. They wrote down the stories they heard and published them. Stories like sleeping beauty make sense when you understand that poor towns like Lipstadt couldn’t afford to build town walls like their neighbour Soest so planted thick thorny hedges around the town to offer it some protection from attack.
