We play this in my band, and I have a Love / Hate with this outro solo. Hurts my hand if I do it too much. I just pick the important parts out (improvise some parts) and be sure to get the ending down with the drummer so we know when to end. Thanks Carl !
how in the shit do you remember all that?? I just fall back on to pentatonic with this solo, with a few recognizable phrases so people remember what theyre listening to. Nice job
Blackbox Band -Seattle Memorization comes with repetitive practice. I’ve been playing electric for only 2 months but I’ve been practicing this solo for a few weeks now and memorization comes easy. Idk if it’s just a trait to have good memorization or just the repetitive practice but songs on any instrument seem to be easy to memorize.
The worst part is, once you master the phrase, how to connect one with each other. I tend to stop for a second in between just to start it. I hope to get it done by the end of the month
dude hes literally doing the hard part and telling you where all the notes are lmao you seriously cant figure out the feel for yourself? Maybe you should just let him play the solo for you too.
Which version of the solo is this? It changes from the version I grew up with from the ten album at around 7:40. I notice some people play this version and others play the version I'm familiar with. But even the version on spotify is the one I know. Which one is this?
that part is beneath the "uh oh ya" part. you really don't hear that so much on the actual song. I've listened to the original from the album and the one on Spotify all of it. its the same solo, but some of the stuff carl is teaching is a little more underneath the drums and vocals. if u go to the beginning of both lessons and play the solo with car, you'll see its the same. if you like this info, would you please ask carl to do through the fire and flames on his newest lessons? if enough of us do it, then he might do it lol. Cheers
Question, at 7.53 theres a lick you teach just before the unison bends, but on the song itself that lick isn't there on the Spotify track. Anyone else notice this or is just my Spotify missing that lick?
I know its not the kinda music you usually give tutorials on and you probably have like a thousand request already but it would be fucking amazing if you did a tutorial on Lamb of God "512 or Overlord"
hes giving you free lessons 😂 what other guitar tutorial vids do you watch that are in such goos quality and clearity like his?? what else do you need?

Seriously? Just go look at the never ending list of free lessons this guy has put on RUclips. This dude has gave away more than any guitar instructor on the Internet.
Just want to say thank you for all the lessons! Playing in a cover band and needed to learn the solo.... was very easy to learn.. thanks again!

I mean the same way I, a 15 year old managed to remember and play perfectly the entire Cliffs of Dover song.
Just practice :)
yeah bro... It looks simple, not difficult scales, but actually you need dedication

so ready for part two
I was just listening to this song and get a notification that new video from you !! lol
love your lessons. but this one for example is too chopped, really hard to get the feel from only the notes, I'd prefer more connected phrases.

Does anyone else hear an extra note before the second bend on 14g?
Can you do and justice for all?
Can you upload the rest of the solo please??
Cool, but I'll do my own. Thanks!
That tone!!! What amp and pedals do you use
yeah i love the sound too
He probably uses some kind of distortion pedal to get that tone. Also he’s playing it on a strat with single coils only to get that twangy sound
I love you sir
