Good to know I wasn't the only one who couldn't figure out the lid! Thanks for the video, super helpful!
You're welcome and thank you for watching!
That's the reason I came here, too!....mrs greg
Omg thank you!!! I've had this for 2 months and have been going crazy how to open it lol
That’s what I came here for. 😂
Me too hehe
Once you figure out the lid thing, it’s super easy to operate. Love it for mincing garlic, making salad dressings, olive tapenade or pesto.
Thank you for showing how to open the lid! Even the owner’s manual online doesn’t show that in a way that made sense to me. Whew.
Thank you for watching!
You totally came to my rescue with how to open the lid!
I'm so happy to hear. Thank you for watching!
Omg, the lid…. It was doing my head in. Thank you! Great video overall! 🙏🏻👏👍
You saved me! That lid gave me problems when attempting to take it off. The instructions weren't very clear. Thanks so much!
That is wonderful to hear. Yes, Kitchenaid did not have clear instructions on how to take it off and on. When you look at the design, it looks like you should pull it straight off. I had to play around with it to figure it out at first
Exactly! Thanks so much!
This is why I’m here! Lol I couldn’t open it lol
Lmaooo we all came for the same reason! I was so confused haha
Yes thanks, for showing how to remove the lid 😊
you have no idea how happy I was to come across your video. I was battling this thing for a good while wondering how to work it. If I hadn't watched this video, I wouldn't have figured out the lid. Thanks for the video. Much appreciated
I am so happy to hear! Thank you so much for watching
That lid was almost the death of me! Thank you 😊
Luckily I found your vid. Still figuring out how to remove the lid at first place. Thank you ☺️☺️
You're welcome. Thank you for watching!
Me too Ahahah
I was getting so frustrated until i watched ur tutorial.Could not figure out the lid .You made it so easy😊
Thank you very much for making this video. It was so helpful. I really appreciated it. I received this mini processor as a gift and couldn't open it up. Your How To was spot on. Take care.
Thank you for watching!
That lid was a problem.....OMG, you saved me. Great demo 😃
I fought with mines for over 45 mins yesterday n still can't get it to work going to try it again from Demo wish me luck I got so frustrated with that lid I was about to throw it out the door
Me too..im glad I didn't brake it 😅
Came here for the exact same reason! 😩
Can this crush ice?
Thanks for the lid removal demo!
I almost broke the darn thing trying to remove it from the base. No clear instructions here Kitchen Aid! 😡- Hence googling and viewing this video.
Yes, totally!! It took me a bit of time to figure out the lid too
Same here,,,it is like stuck..can't get it off,,any tips on how you did it?
Same here unable to open it !
Wow very helpful. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to open the lid . I nearly broke it. The cord thing was cool to know too
Thank you for watching. I am happy the video was helpful! Happy chopping
And after looking at Mary's video, it was so easy!!...i came here because I thought I would break the whole thing!...mrs. greg
I watched your video just to learn how to open the food processor lol. Very helpful video. Thank you.
Thankyou for making this! Saved my life to help me figure out the new one I just bought 😆💛
You're welcome and thank you for watching
Yes, it’s one of my favorite buddies in the kitchen
Yes, same!
I love mine... I don't know what I have done all these years without it.
Thank you for this video! Wanted to use my food processor yesterday for preparing my Thanksgiving dinner, but couldn’t figure out how to open the lid LOL 😂
Thanks for the info on opening the lid. The book does not give any hint that you need to rotate the handle part to take it off. In fact the picture in their instructions shows a hand over the top of the lid to rotate the whole thing. You can't see the handle on the lid at all.
Totally agreed! Thanks for watching
Just got one. Can't wait to use it. Thanks Mary.
That's wonderful!
just got this and had no idea how to open it thank you!
Thank you for clearing up how to open the lid!
Hahaha....I almost broke mine! ...I was getting frustrated 🤣🤣🤣🤣.....thank you for showing me how to open it!
Haha Good thing you didn't! Whew
Super thank you! Was getting worried and frustrated about putting the parts together to get it running and your video was very helpful!
You're welcome. Thank you so much for watching!
0:51 Good Lord Allmighty! Had to play this part back about 50x to get it figured out. BIG HUGE THANK YOU!!!
Thank you Marlon!
I've been running it for a very long time too! And I finally got it!
One of best features about this model that people overlook is the bowl can be flipped upside down and the blade doesn't fall out. You can empty out the contents into a hot pan without removing the blade. The Cuisinart mini processor doesn't offer this.
Oh yes, you are right about that! I didn't realize other brands or processors may not have this feature
This feature may sound great but it also has a huge problem. The blade is stuck inside for good, it does not come out to be able to wash the blade by hand. It has to be always dishwasher cleaned, now what happens when you can't use your dishwasher cos it's broken or someone may not own a dishwasher - spells huge problem. Also, people when reviewing something like this should always review nuts and the extreme opposite tomatoes!!!! No brainer. I was going to purchase this but the fact the blades are un-removable has put me right off. I think for me the Cuisinart is leading.
@@11kwright The blades are removable. Maybe I will do another video to showcase this.
@@11kwright the blades are completely removable for cleaning once you're done using it. Just requires a slight tug with two fingers because of a small plastic notch that holds the blade in place.
I bought this 2 years ago but have been afraid to use it. Thx for the video! No more hand mincing garlic!!!
Definitely give it a try!
Thanks so much for this video!!!!
Thank you for this review. I just got mine delivered today and I’m so excited
You're welcome. That is very exciting. What colour did you get?
@@MarysHappyBelly same as yours red
Definitely worth a sub
Thank you, Marlon!
I just bought one at Goodwill for $4. I knew it was something good!
Oh my goodness, what a steal!! Wow
THE LID. I got this for a birthday present for myself and was so excited when it came this morning. But THE LID. I thought I was going to break it, like everyone else here. I have actually gotten quite fed up with safety switches and safety features. But thank you for this video it calmed me down a bit!
What a wonderful bday gift and yay to being able to open the lid smoothly. It is definitely not obvious
I was looking on how to separate the black lid piece from the clear lid piece for cleaning. I think that can be done too, I just don't know how.
Thanks for the demo.
Side note: Select mirror on camera so one can see in real motion. The video is reversed when you make turns to open/remove from the base. I was challenged in removing the lid the first time, hence my being here.
Thanks again 🙏🏽
Thank you for the tip! Yes the lid is tricky to figure out
Thank you .. now I know how to open the lid 😅
That was awesome, thank you! Just got it, and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to remove the lid. LOL
I make chimichurri on the regular, plus a million other things this mini chopper will be perfect for. Cheers.
You're welcome. Love chimichurri and this does a great job at it!
thank you so much i almost returned this because i thought the lid was broken or something
Thank you for this review, I appreciate it.
I was debating if I should buy this or not but after watching this, I can’t wait for it to arrive.
Yay!
Thank you. You helped me a lot. Good review.
Thank you!
Thank you that’s what I came here looking for was how to open the lid lol
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the info on how to release the lid!!!
You're welcome
Thanks I was trying to pull it up
Thanks for the review.
Helpful tutorial!
Excellent production thank you
Thank you!
Thank you!! Could not figure out how to open it! Lol
Thank you! I almost busted my brain trying to figure out the lid and the manual didn't help lol.
lol
Great video. Quick question can you chop meat in this? Like cooked ham to make a ham salad. Thanks.
I actually haven't tried meat before but I will keep you posted if I do. I think it would grind it up pretty small. Better for an egg salad or tuna salad
Omg thank you! I didn’t know you have to click it on
OMG! That lid! Thank you!!! I was like...!! How !
The lid brought me here🥴I damn near broke it🤦🏽♀️
Oh no! I agree that the lid is confusing and hard to figure out how to remove
omg me too I thought i was me alone I still did not get it to work so frustrated
All they needed to do was add an arrow or something. Stupid lid...
Ok I got the lid off but I need to wash between the black ring on lid in between
Saw the actual kitchen aid video the black ring pop off ti wash but mine won’t come off I’m scared to break it.
Can u show us how u wash the lid part please?
It has to come off n be washed
Lid Cleaning Solution! Alright, this drove me nuts. No modern company should make mistakes this big but clearly kitchenaid did. When you look under the the lid you see the black latch which obviously needs to be pushed forward. But there is a little plastic tab there. They forgot to remove this before shipping the last 2 million units it appears. Nice work quality control. You can snap that tab out as it was supposed to have been removed during the manufacturing process. Has no effect on the functionality, I guarantee you this was a mistake by them. You’ll notice the company doesn’t reply on any thread about this mistake but simply says to call the help number. Snap the little tab and it will work fine and will be easy to clean. Ugg that was annoying
You had me at when you hear the click! Lol…every time I go to use it, it takes about 10 mins for me to figure out that the lid is right but the container’s not on right and I forget every time!🤦♀️but I won’t be anymore❣️I don’t know if my instructions ever told me about the click but I didn’t feel like pulling them out.😳
The instructions on the manual aren't clear but yes the click is important! Thank you so much for watching
@@MarysHappyBelly thank you for posting AND responding❣️
I would have liked to see you chop fresh turmeric. I have gone back to buying powdered, because it is more manageable.
I would prefer to use fresh because I suspect it is healthier, but cutting it up stains everything: chopping board, fingers, knife, anything it touches.
And the stains are not easy to remove without bleach, which I don’t want to use on anything touching food. I wonder if turmeric would stain the clear plastic bowl, and generally make a mess?
I haven't tried but I am afraid it would stain the plastic as well, so I am avoiding the test. I think for fresh, maybe to use a stainless steel grater or zester would be a better option or the mortar and pestle to pound it
Sold! I’m getting the grey one tho 😁
Awesome. Grey is a really nice colour!!
Thank you!! -- Ms. Mary
OMG thanks for the overview and especially #thelidbroughtmehere
Thank you!
I love the hashtag #thelidbroughtmehere
Thank you very much!
Lol I came here hoping to get answers for the lid and wasn't let down thank youuuu. Lol I feel so dumb but hey at least I wasn't alone. 😂
You're welcome. Yes, you are definitely not alone!
What do you mean "Keep working with it??" Does the lid come up or not? Why is there a hinge??
@@JanieNafsinger Watch my other video of how the lid comes off ruclips.net/video/QrVU19auJng/видео.htmlsi=an1jHmSe4AIa1Vq4
Just ordered mine and wanted to see it in action b4 i got it lol i got it in Silver!
That's awesome! Silver is a nice colour
Hahahaha me too thanks for the vid
Kool!... Did u try ice?
Is this helpful in making a power of raw spices?? I have to buy but i am unable to select the one. Can Anyone help??
I haven't tried to make spices yet but did make nut butter in thus chopper. It grinds the peanuts or cashews to a fine powder first, so this may apply to grinding certain ingredients for spices
I just got a chopper like this and noticed a hinge on the lid that appears that the clear part of the lid flips up. I have not been able to figure out how that works. I found it frustrating to get the lid exactly so that the blade activates and thought if I got it in the right spot and was able to lift the lid it might aleviate some of the frustration of it not wokring because it is not seated exactly right.
@@JanieNafsinger Keep playing around with it. Hope you get it to work!
So glad I saw this as I couldn’t work out how to remove the lid either 🙄.
Does the black rim on the lid come off for easy cleaning?
The black part doesn't come apart but the entire lid is easy to wash
@@MarysHappyBelly thanks
I had problem opening the lid
Hello! Does it have a period restriction time to keep functioning? I saw some of these mini food chopper can work for only 30 to 60 seconds, then gotta wait for one minute to start again... Hugs from Brazil.
Thanks very helpful
Thank you!
Let’s see u wash n clean lid that black ring is hard I’m afraid to break it if breaks that’s the part to push down start it.
Is it’s easy to clean n come off ?
Yes it is easy to clean. The plastic isn't that stromg so careful not too drop. It
I can't get the lid off, ugh
How to clean liddoes it come apart
Hey nice video Can it also chop ice cubes? 💕
Can this make peanut butter?
I can’t pop off the black ring on lid to wash in video looks easy mine won’t come off might break then the machine is useless
You don't need to remove the black ring but it is part of one piece for the lid. The lid comes on and off easily
Great vid! Could you maybe make a nut butter video with your Kitchen Aid mini food processor- that would be great to see. Take care.
On my list to do! : )
@@MarysHappyBelly thanks 😊
@@MarysHappyBelly I tried chopping cashews and it melted the spinner.
@@RoseGrace100 Oh no!!
Thankss
Thank you lid confused me, lol was so simple
What price of this chopper?
In Toronto, Canada, it is about $100 CAD before tax. I got mine on sale for about 40% off that price. I hope that helps. What country are you from?
how easy is it to get stuff outta the bowl?
Easy. It is best to remove the blade first and a spatula helps as well
You convinced me not to cancel my order lol thanks
那裡有賣這個
Thank you for sharing ! Does it work for meet ?
Great question. I haven't tried with meat, but I will put it to the test soon
Its difficult to lock
I have an old version of this and I'm looking at replacing it. The old lid was terrible to clean because dish water would get trapped between the button layer and there was no way to take it apart.
How easy is this lid to clean, and does dishwater and dishwater drink get trapped in it?
I did the test yesterday and water does not get trapped in the lid. You can't take it apart but there's enough space for the water to go through and dry. Hope that helps
Another question of mine!
I need to get me one of those.
Yes, it is a great size for everyday use!
can i make cauliflower rice with this?
I haven't tried but I think it would do it well!
Have you tried making peanut butter on this?
Not yet. I should try!
Who came here for the lid???
how about whole mushrooms?
It can mince whole mushrooms. I've done it many times!
@@MarysHappyBelly thank you 😊
Can anyone tell me if it’s good for making baby purée foods????
Yes it can with the puree function
How do you remove the black ring from the lid when washing? It’s not working with me!
You can't as the lid is all one piece.
@@MarysHappyBelly mines came off so I am guessing i broke it then because it does not work
I just sliced my thumb when trying to put the blade back . I totally thiti will be returning this it shouldn’t be this complicated
Oh no! Hope you are ok
Does this one slice vegetables?
No slices but it chops or dices things small
Can we make those bliss balls...
Can this crush ice?
I will try that out this week and keep you posted
do you find it really loud?
I don't. It's tolerable for sure
