    One of best features about this model that people overlook is the bowl can be flipped upside down and the blade doesn't fall out. You can empty out the contents into a hot pan without removing the blade. The Cuisinart mini processor doesn't offer this.

    • @MarysHappyBelly
      @MarysHappyBelly  3 года назад +2

      Oh yes, you are right about that! I didn't realize other brands or processors may not have this feature

    • @11kwright
      @11kwright 3 года назад

      This feature may sound great but it also has a huge problem. The blade is stuck inside for good, it does not come out to be able to wash the blade by hand. It has to be always dishwasher cleaned, now what happens when you can't use your dishwasher cos it's broken or someone may not own a dishwasher - spells huge problem. Also, people when reviewing something like this should always review nuts and the extreme opposite tomatoes!!!! No brainer. I was going to purchase this but the fact the blades are un-removable has put me right off. I think for me the Cuisinart is leading.

    • @MarysHappyBelly

    Lid Cleaning Solution! Alright, this drove me nuts. No modern company should make mistakes this big but clearly kitchenaid did. When you look under the the lid you see the black latch which obviously needs to be pushed forward. But there is a little plastic tab there. They forgot to remove this before shipping the last 2 million units it appears. Nice work quality control. You can snap that tab out as it was supposed to have been removed during the manufacturing process. Has no effect on the functionality, I guarantee you this was a mistake by them. You’ll notice the company doesn’t reply on any thread about this mistake but simply says to call the help number. Snap the little tab and it will work fine and will be easy to clean. Ugg that was annoying

    I would have liked to see you chop fresh turmeric. I have gone back to buying powdered, because it is more manageable.
    I would prefer to use fresh because I suspect it is healthier, but cutting it up stains everything: chopping board, fingers, knife, anything it touches.
    And the stains are not easy to remove without bleach, which I don’t want to use on anything touching food. I wonder if turmeric would stain the clear plastic bowl, and generally make a mess?

    • @MarysHappyBelly
      @MarysHappyBelly  2 года назад +1

      I haven't tried but I am afraid it would stain the plastic as well, so I am avoiding the test. I think for fresh, maybe to use a stainless steel grater or zester would be a better option or the mortar and pestle to pound it

      Easy. It is best to remove the blade first and a spatula helps as well

    I have an old version of this and I'm looking at replacing it. The old lid was terrible to clean because dish water would get trapped between the button layer and there was no way to take it apart.
    How easy is this lid to clean, and does dishwater and dishwater drink get trapped in it?

    • @MarysHappyBelly
      @MarysHappyBelly  3 года назад +3

      I did the test yesterday and water does not get trapped in the lid. You can't take it apart but there's enough space for the water to go through and dry. Hope that helps
