KitchenAid Food Processor 1133 KFP1133 Handle Re-Assembly After Taking Apart to Clean

Hi!
I took apart my KFP1133 to clean the gunk that had built up between the handle and the clear plastic part.
I couldn't find any instructions or videos on how to put it back together again.
I figured it out and thought I would record a short video and share it in case it helps anyone else.

Oh my dear...my damn food pro has been out of commission for well over a year (maybe two!) because I couldn't get this back together correctly no matter how hard I tried, and nowhere could I find the answer. I've been using my old little shitty one. Everytime I went to use it, how I'd long for my good one to be back together. It just sat like a kid with no friends collecting every manner of dust from my kitchen. And now......I've got my handle back together thanks to you. You're my new hero lol. Bravo mama! So excited!! Thanks so much, this video saved my bacon! I was washing the processor and saw a bunch of gunk in that area so I removed the screws and the rest all popped out. I thought I had ruined it!

Thanks for this. I had the same problem & can usually fix anything. Btw, I found it easier for me to put the two smaller pieces together, then slide them in. Clumsy hands, I guess

I wish I could show you my close-up photos of how the springs go. That was the toughest part and so hard to see in the video but I finally got it after putting it together and takung it apart with the viseo, 3 times. Without pictures, all I can say is, the 2 "L" shapes go under the second black piece, pointing inward toward each other. I'll never clean this handle again!!!! That was so hard.

My wife took this apart one day when I was at work. The next morning she handed me a pile of parts & wanted me to reconstruct it.

Just unscrew the 2 little screws and it will all come apart
