disagree with review, I have this and it works great! I use it often. I don't use a food processor but use this quick and easy to use chopper. made a great xmas gift for my mom who has a large processor but now uses this way more often. great for single or small family use. 5 out of 5 stars from me!

I own a cheap chopper from walmarts, even it has to be aligned to use it, its a safety feature, not hard to do, so i upgrated bought this one and kitchenaid is a known fantastic brand that speaks quality, and something that last, works well, well built! Love kitchenaid!

For safety reasons, I always look at the instructions before using an appliance that could potentially harm you if used incorrectly. So I did that before using this food chopper. I found the directions easy and have had no problems at all with it. I love using this chopper and use it often.

I'm really glad I watched this video. I bought this chopper to replace my old kitchenaid 3.5 cup chopper that lasted over 10 years. I could tell when I ordered it the locking design would be different. Now I feel like I know what to watch for when it arrives today. I agree that the on/off pulse button is not in a good place. We shall see how much I enjoy or dislike it soon enough.

...And here's my update. It finally arrived after a shipping delay. We used it to loosely chop some carrots for a stir fry recipe (we don't do chunks in this house).
      What we like:
The cord storage is much better than my previous one that had to be jammed up inside in a weird triangle shape.
The work bowl locks in super well and solid. The blade snaps down nice and solid. We had some uncertainty taking it out (we just had to be less gentle pulling it up)
It chopped like a champ! The blades seem to sit a little lower than my old chopper so there wasn't missed food. It was all very evenly chopped.
The drizzle basin is better designed than before. Sometimes with my old one, food could splash up and out of the basin.
It's very visually appealing - we got the light blue one
What we aren't so sure about:
The locking of the lid is a little awkward. I can see where people could struggle getting it to line up and lock in
The power/pulse button - why there? We don't love it, but not a deal breaker.
We definitely do not like the design of the lid for washing purposes. What if food and oil gets up under the black ring of the lid? There is no way to take it fully apart to get underneath to clean it and thoroughly dry it. It's dishwasher safe so maybe that would help? I like to hand wash my appliances normally.
That's about it - I give it a 4.5 out of 5. It could go down half a point if the lid gets super gross underneath.

i love it but there are things i don't like about it. i only really use it for small batch stuff and it's just for me. fits easily to store elsewhere rather than a ginormous food processor that takes too much space. it's also easy to clean, which is what matters most to me, save for the lid but haven't had any mishaps yet.
but (!) i do agree that the design is crappy, i think the only problem with it is that it's just annoying to have to align everything, it has to be pushed with a tiny bit of force and feels as if it might break. it's expensive but i'd say to someone else that it's worth it if you need something small and don't mind fidgeting with it.

I have owned 2x of these already. The lid locking mechanism is the WORST! It will work beautifully for the first month or so...life is good, but after your best friend just lets you down; the lid won't lock, you will be wrestling it constantly to get it off or on. It is next to impossible to find a 3.5 cup mini-food processor with a durable design. IF this food processor had a simple latch lid like the large processors have, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

You're right. You should have looked at the book before you started. It looks like you are not familiar with food processors and choppers. All these appliances require the bowl and the lid to be seated properly. I have this model, and it works great-better than my old Cuisinart chopper. I recognized the drizzle basin and what it was for immediately.

I think a good mini chopper should be able to do one meals worth of say garlic, but most mini choppers I’ve seen need a cup of garlic (who would put a cup of chopped garlic in their recipe for two???!!) to work properly to mince garlic. And do dreadful finely chopping parsley etc

I have this product and all the locking mechanisms is the most annoying thing I have ever used. Although its high quality the design itself in terms of usability is HORRIBLE. Threw it away (after I smashed the on/off button from anger one day).

2 negatives. He had to read and had to push the pulse button for it to work. Otherwise not a bad product.

Meh is right. Not worth it. My chopper was US $100.00 in July of 2023. It took me 45 minutes to finally get to chopping. The lid wouldn't come off, watched the first YT tutorial as the booklet didn't make it clear. Then I had trouble opening the bowl up and putting it back together. On to the second YT tutorial. The little "drizzle hole" I couldn't figure out either until I glanced at it from an angle and sure enough there is a tiny hole. The whole design is NOT USER FRIENDLY and certainly not for someone who has arthritic hands. 👎🏻 And the US $100.00 cost was way over what the 50.00 Canadian was. Even 50.00 is not worth it in my opinion.

I have this exact same chopper and “works” exactly as you demonstrated. You have to assemble/disassemble that thing repeatedly and MIGHT eventually work. It is unnecessarily clunky and complicated. I got this as a present and I still feel ripped off…stay away from it…
