I grew up in El Paso where flour tortillas were used for burritos while corn tortillas were for tacos. Maybe its proximity to NM and isolation from the rest of TX has kind of insulated it from the TexMex style of food. Now that I've moved deeper into TX, I always have to specify that I DEFINITELY WANT CORN, NOT FLOUR tortillas for my tacos. Hah
También pero vivo afuera de la cuidad en San Elizario
I'm from El Paso, but everywhere in Texas I've been to they ask me if I want corn or flour, unless all they have is corn (usually is the standard for tacos), it may be because I'm male and look like I have money. Servers do treat men better and try to get everything right, to be fair men by majority pay for more meals and give larger tips than women. It's just speculation as I can't find any other difference between u and I, we're both Mexican, both El Paso originated and are both Texans who have traveled all over Texas.

Christian Alexander the Great seas mamon no one uses that term besides chicanos from Texas tejano =chicano
I'm actually Mexican and this just makes me roll my eyes. This is actually *Chicanos vs Tejanos*. The most downrated Flama videos are these type of "what's funny about ". And it's because no one in the video is actually from there! Note that the highest rated videos have Joanna *who is actually fucking Venezuelan*. Get the hint Flama, cast people who are legit. That or stop posing as mexican/central/south american (as in the continent) and own that you are gringos with latin roots, nothing wrong with that.
I've never heard someone describe people as "gringos with latin roots" but I would say that sums me up perfectly. lol
Nope I will never go for gringa with whatever roots thanks for your suggestion, that actually is offensive and rude, but nope will never happen
eeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh puuuuuuuuuutooo!
Every state has a different kind of Mexican, but Mexicans all the same.
It's like a Texan calling themselves a New Yorker because their parents are from there. IMHO if you didn't grow up in that country then calling yourself 'Mexican', or 'Irish' or whatever is kinda poser'ish. Particularly if it's a country where it's hard to grow up in. It's not a cake walk growing up in the U.S. either but you can't compare that to growing up in Mexico. So calling yourself Mexican without growing up there, with all the good *and* the bad, is off putting to a lot of those who actually live there.
Arizona Mexicans be like "when do we get our video?"
2:07. Her y'all is not correct. It's yall in a higher pitch with the "ll" lifted
All Chicano at heart.
+Pablo Firman that's not exactly accurate.
No sean mamones! Chicanos es solamente refiriéndose a los hispanos de California. Para ser un show cultural de plano la cagan.
who's the california mexican woman? please share her socials ❤_❤
+Pablo Firman unfortunately
+Pablo Firman No, Mexicans are not "all" Mestizo. That generalization is so fucking stupid and ignorant.
There are Mexicans who are 100% indigenous, don't even speak spanish. In fact, many don't even consider themselves Mexican. Are they mestizo? no.
Just like there are indigenous, there are Mexicans who have kept their blood 100% spanish. Are they mestizo? NO. There are germans, asians, middle easterners, etc. Not everyone and their fucking mom is "mestizo"
This is hard to watch.. I bet all the actors are from California.
Ricardo Alvarado true
Ricardo Alvarado whoever played California Mexicans act white af we don’t act like that over here. So not from California.
Ricardo Alvarado more like straight from texas , we don't act like that or even talk like that , cowboy !
Alex Tovar ikr
California garbage anyway. Thats why all yall mfs coming down here.
As a Chicano from LA (with roots in El Paso and West Texas), I can tell you that the only putos that put shrimp in Micheladas are transplants, hipsters, and other non-genuine Chicano variants. That would never be served on Cesar Chavez Blvd in East Los.
That's harsh language for your paisanos. No need to be an ahole.
Plot twist: there all from new York
I Prefer Texans
Same
Why because you're a Texan?
V. F. B. Yed
@@MsHeartIsArt Yes
Same in tik tok i get soo mad when they say cali is better
The greatest thing to come out of Texas is Selena...although Californianos want to claim her as well...and so do Mexicans as a whole...and all this talk about "they speak English, so they aren't Mexican" is complete ignorance...Remember...Selena didn't know Spanish and yet she became a big Success in US, Mexico, and Central America...think about that before you even say that Just because a Latin-American doesn't speak Spanish doesn't make them any less Latino...
people around the world will say she's american not latin america
And that's a good thing!
a malaysian conservative opposition parties try to ban her from entering a country because she's an american woman singer wearing sexy outfit and unslamic
she came visit here in my cities for concert
Malaysian?
i'm from malaysia
I am from Texas. I have family in California southern and northern they don't act like that. They party just like us tejanos. Sorry just saying!! Love My Texas and California peers. Peace and love 💘
Honestly differences you can find in every Chicano house hold .
We don’t all move the same way nor say the same things .
@ Hell Bent -- Let's talk about Tejanos.
Spaniards started exploring the area now known as Texas in 1519.
Spain took a Caddo word for the name of the province and spelled it Tejas.
Spain exercised "control" over Tejas from 1690 to 1821, a period of 131 years.
Tejas was part of Mejico when Mejico won independence from Spain.
The Mexican dialict changed Mejico to Mexico and Tejas to Texas.
Mexico exercised "control" over Texas from 1821 to 1836, just 15 years.
The American dialect changed the pronunciation from Tayhass to Tecksas.
So, the name is originally Caddo, modified by Spanish, Mexicans, and Anglos.
No one knows how long the Caddo, Tonkawa, Karankawa, Bidai, Ouachita, Kawatoni, Kitsai, Coahuiltecans, Carrizo, Jumano, Pueblo, etc., controlled the area.
But we do know that Spain had it for 131 years, Mexico for just 15 years, then the Republic of Texas, then the U.S.
Texas was not originally Mexican, the Spanish influence has been long lasting, and the Mexican influence was brief.
The Natives (Caddo, Tonkawa, Hueco, Bidai, Carrizo, etc,) are typically called Mexicans today,
but they are not really Mexicans. They are Tejanos.
