- The best value used SUV on the market today. Hands down no competition for reliability, towing capacity, seating, off road capability, and the part that makes it the winner is the price.
Авто/Мото
My 2002 has 452,868 miles, runs like a clock. Built like a tank.
🙌🙌🙌
Wait so this is the 2002 version??
Any video can can last a million miles if you keep changing out the transmission in the engine
@@shadowbanned2028 im sad a bought a ford too
The only thing I like about the Sequoia is that the back trunk window rolls up and down!
It’s cool
I bought mine for$ 3000 2004 2 years now 237.944 I’m impressed with reliability I have fix little problems only but yes good suv
Yup. These V8 Toyotas might not help you win any drag races, but they can take you to the moon and back, safe and sound!
Well of course. Toyota is amazing so is Honda.
No! Honda automatic transmissions are junk
I’m gonna live in one 😂
Just the fuel efficiency is not the great if you compare it with other SUVs
Yes, I am looking to buy , mmm This sounds amazing,
330k on my 1998 4Runner. Still strong all around. Love my Toyota.
I got one. Cant go wrong with it
My 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L V8 SOHC Naturally Aspirated (same engine essentially) and I've got 233K miles still going strong.
The problem with these SUV's is the MPG being 17mpg. Burns up gas like crazy. Todays standard for SUV's is 40-50mpg for 2016-current Hybrids.
The Toyota Rav4/ 4 Runner Hybrid's have eCVT transmissions/transaxles with split power systems that will last longer than traditional automatic transmissions and CVT's because theres no wearable components like clutch packs, belts, chains, doesn't even use a starter abd the hybrid battery packs are only $4000 to replace abd the batteey pack lasts 15-20 years before they have any signs of needing repairs or replacement.
Ford Maverick Hybrid & Ford Escape Hybrid also have the same eCVT transaxle split power devices that have two electric motors that work as electric generators that Toyota has made by Aisin.
Change timing belt right after you buy it. It’s an interference engine
Good advice. Last thing you'd want is that part to break and suddenly valve runs through the piston
Its a used car lot selling one with 77k on the dash for 15k
I want a 4 cylinder.. do you have any info on them?
Nice
Honda civic 2003 with 325000 miles. 30+ Miles per gal.
Terrible gas mileage there’s your reason
Mic drop boom
So how much, $$ 😮We're do I go ,??
The problem in my place is not cars its the salt they put on road, it just eat cars lime no tommorow.
I'm just wondering about the transmission
Hasn’t missed a beat, I was wondering also. Maybe the ones that tow a lot have issues at 300k still not sure. A lot of guys don’t have issues and tow with high mileage.
What is it??? It would be helpful. Please & Thank you!
Toyota Sequoia
@@CandycaneBeyond Thank you for responding. Appreciate it, but I did find that out. Thanks again!😘❤
what’s the gas mileage tho
16 per gallon not towing
Gas mileage??
With these you only measure in Smiles Per Gallon
@@JakeTiesler makes sense! But really what does it average I mean I can google but it’s not the same as real life driving, I wanna get one idk if I should get the 5.7 or the 4.7 one. Thanks!
Both good motors, one requires a timing belt replacement every 80k
@@JakeTieslerwhat's actually the gas mileage?
Much better than my lifted Land Cruiser, I can’t remember exactly but 18 maybe
What is this car? Make, model, all the details?
2001 Toyota Sequoia 4wd
@@JakeTiesler thank you!!
Well what’s it called!?
Toyota Sequoia
Is this the 1UZ-FE V8?
2UZ-FE V8 because its 4.7L
1UZ-FE V8 is a 4.0L
I'll give you one reason. LAND CRUISER.😊
Best value, LC costs too much for what I can get with the Sequoia
Not getting a 4wd with less that 150k for any less than 15k
I know you didn’t say 4wd but kinda not worth getting the 2wd if you plan on using it at all
Most of them have rusted out frames. I would love to find one with a good frame.
California
Just check the rust?
They be rusty, be careful!
@@JakeTiesler how often should we undercoat our cars? Thank you
Buy one without rust if you can find it
No shut its Toyota
Bad gas mileage but that’s about all I’d say is a con of owning of course it is a V8 so what do you expect
But what’s the model and make? 😂
Gas mileage probably sucks
No shit it’s a V8. It’s made to haul stuff around, not save gas money.
@@trentmckenzie343 well that and it's not a modern v8 to add insult to injury
It gets what most V8s get really, it’s about the same as the Toyota V8s in the sequoia lineup all the way to 2023 until they went V6 twin turbo - check fuelly.com www.fuelly.com/car/toyota/sequoia
@@JakeTiesler oh wow, good to know! Thanks for sharing
Its about the smiles per gallon
Fuel economy. I dare you to get 20mpg.
18 if you’re gentle hwy
No where is it mentioned what model make and year this video is about ? ? ? Why waste my time !
He does. He says it’s a 1st gen sequoia literally in the middle of the clip.
My suburban cost half
ur suburban is a piece of junk that last 150k miles
The million Mile engine on this vehicle is a myth
In where I live these are filling the junkyards
I daily drive my Land Cruiser and it has 335,000 and purs like a kitten
Well do you live in a crappy area?
Is this similar to Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series ?
Same motor and transmission but a lot of difference other than that but similar you could say yes
get the newer model
RUST
Mines a Cali car and doesn’t have it but you def gotta watch out for it
@@JakeTiesler U got lukcy!!! my cousin has 400k miles on his 03.. rust and suspension parts were the only issues. ohh yea and the actuator cap for the 4wd
@@Brianbugz34 that’s really good. I have a 2003 element n it’s reliable asf…..gotta replace the suspension because of rust
Not an affordable every day driver!
Why would it be efficient? It's a full size family vehicle. Go for a compact and subcompact for efficiency
its just ugly though
Uhm its slow ugly and that interior is especially bad would rather have a grand cherokee
Yeah but only a 98 to 04. The rest are junk
