Since I'm from N. IA it's great to watch someone garden who knows the local weather conditions and native plants.

You have so much energy! and yes, gardening is a workout for sure. I like your choices of plants and have learned so much from watching your videos, about new plants, design etc. The fact that those statues represent the seasons is perfect and they certainly suit that style of garden. Can't wait to keep following along. Thanks for all you do, show and teach us.

That Iowa skyline is gorgeous. I grew up in farm country and miss the sky and open views. Your garden plantings will be the perfect compliment to your landscape. Thanks for sharing.

I love the juxtaposition of the formality of the statues against the less formal plants you are surrounding them with. I look forward to seeing this bed more fully grown in.

Last spring, I finally got around to splitting a daylily and hosta that I'd had for years, growing well in my heavy clay soil. I now have 3 lilies and 4 hostas for my efforts, and the garden looks much more full!

Have you visited the Maytag Dairy Farm in Newton, Iowa, Kaleb? The Best Blue Cheese, White Cheddar is made there.
They have a massive planting of Millenium Alliums that creates a butterfly show like no other when in bloom! You can make your own cheese there & immediately thought of you doing a video incorporating the pollinators, flowers & cooking all in one. Your talents are amazing & we love you❣️

I garden in heavy gumbo clay and I am so jealous of your beautiful loamy soil. 12 minutes to plant….takes me 12 minutes to dig one hole in my clay. This garden will be a vision and I love Culvers Root too !

Haha my soil is so rocky and hard that I’m lucky if I can even dig a hole the size of the root ball… they get no amendments, no compost… they get a “good luck!” from me and some water. Most still survive somehow though 😂
