Your creaky floors make me want to cry because they remind me so much of my Grandma’s house. She’s been gone for years and her house (which my Grandpa built) was torn down but I can still smell what it smelled like and your creaky floors are making the memories even stronger 💚
It’s glad to see people who appreciate the beauty in old houses and I can tell how well you are loving your charming vintage house. Also your daughter closet door to no where could be her cute little mirror closet. Just something special for her. Keep enjoying it as well as others.😀
Lovely house. My idea for the door that goes nowhere, would be to take the door off and put shelves there. It would make it a useful area and would look great. I wish you all happiness and good luck for the future. X
What a charming home, filled with interesting things. And the plants, I love them. You will have good memories of this place. Regarding the exterior, this house is an asymmetrical Tudor Revival, not a bungalow.
Your home is darling! I love old homes!! Not everyone loves brand spanking new shiny everything. So cozy and comfortable. I do hope you get the home you want!
Thank you so much for the tour Kristen ❣️ Your decorating is on point 💯 I love that you decorate with pretty much all vintage and antiques! It definitely compliments the house! I am super excited to see the new house and how you decorate/style it ❤
What a cool old house! Isn't it amazing how much of a difference paint can make in the way a house looks and feels, inside or out?! Love the way you have decorated it and all of the plants. My husband and I love old homes. We have lived in homes built in 1909-11, 1926, and 1936. I can't wait to see the full tour of your new home! And Tyler is such a cutie 💓. Blessings!❤
A beautiful, inviting home. Little Ivy kept distracting me with her cuteness 😍 Love your outfit - chic, cute, timeless. The pink bathroom tiles and bath are gorgeous. Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
The home is adorable and I would love to live there because I love old homes. That furniture in your master bedroom is gorgeous and was an absolute steal! My sister has an old house with the exact same pink tile in her bath and she has never changed it either, love it. Praying you find the house of your dreams and can't wait for you to share that.
Your home is beautiful. I love that you kept so much of the character of the home intact. We have a very similar bay window in our1930s bungalow home, but ours is in the living room. Adorable babym by the way. She was a scene stealer.
Hi Kristen.. your house is so beautiful. We have an old house, one bathroom and one closet…Thank goodness for a garage with a bathroom and an attic for storage. A lot of people like to down size or just like smaller houses, plus the added benefit of having a space to rent is a bonus. So good “seeing” you.
Found your channel yesterday and coming across this video just made my day. I live in an old home too and I’m always subconscious about how much my floors creak, especially the stairs. But seeing your beautiful home reminds me that it’s part of the charm. 😊
Cute home! You really made it cozy and warm. Bathrooms are always tough to remodel. I wouldn't change much in that upstairs bath except the very early 80's vanity sink. I would replace that with a pedestal sink and sunken in antique medicine cabinet and that would give that bathroom such a polished vintage look. Nice home!
What a lovely and well-loved home! I read someplace that it works best to use furniture from the same era as the house; the proportions work together. Your master bedroom furniture is proof of that theory; it fits perfectly in the room! The vanity is particularly beautiful.
I just find this video, me and my husband just bought a bungalow 1920 house and moved this past weekend. It screams help for cosmetic work! I started feeling frustrated for the fact that im not liking the floors! Old wood floor that needs work but can not afford it now… it has great potential but is hard to deal with the fact that it will take time but slowly we will do changes. Another area that screams help for renovation is the basement! Ugh…but looking at your house makes me feel good and positive. Your house is cute and im hoping to paint it soon too (at least) overall our house is nice its just been a lot of frustration bcz of cleaning. Anyways, i subscribe to your channel ✌🏻
Thank you for inviting us into your charming home Kristen. Baby Ivy is absolutely adorable. Such a blessing to have a friend you trust who also doubles as your real estate agent.
Kristen, thank you for the tour. You and your husband did the home justice by preserving it. Others would have gutted the interior to make this beautiful structure something that it was not meant to be. Good fortune on your hunt for a new home. I hope that your current home is sold to another family who will treasure its history. God Bless.
Ivy trying to enjoy your coffee the entirety of this video was priceless 😂😂❤️ **I’ve been subscribed for a while but decided to go waaaay back. You’re content is so refreshing 💕
I think the pink bathroom would be adorable if you take out the sink and cabinet and swap it for a little dresser with a new (old look) sink dropped in. Love the house.
Your home is beautiful Kristen - so warm, cosy & inviting. So handy having a basement to rent out! Thanks for sharing your home tour with us. Can't wait to see what you do with your new home. Xx
We lived in a 1913 craftsman. We have since moved due to the family growth but go look at it. 222 E 7th st Tracy Ca By the way, I am new to your channel and I love it. You are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your life.
Love to see a home town girl on Utube living in such an adorable home. I've lived in Omaha almost my entire life (63 years )(less a couple years in Council Bluffs). I'll be following both you and Tyler now. 💗
Cut the legs down on your dining table…that would shorten it. My family also had the Grace painting, as I think everyone did at some point in their home, lol! A friend gave me a peacock chair for my 18th birthday. It’s like walking down memory lane in your home and I’m not even 11 minutes in!
Such a fun look at your home!! We live in SW Michigan and we have a very similar home built in the 1940s and full of odd quirks! I love your videos and I hope to see more!!
I love your house, and think your furniture choices are on point. My mind was imagining my stuff in your place. The basement is a perfect bachelorette pad. I used to own a craftsman bungalow that was built in 1925, and I decorated it with antique furniture as well. Although I like all the bedrooms, the second child's bedroom with the 3 closets, is my favorite. My dream home will need to have a bay window or two. I'm a plant mom as well, with two Monsteras. The larger plant is about 4 feet wide, and has grown several leaves since I bought it in December. They can easily grow to the ceiling. Just warning you. 🤗 My current apartment has noisy floors that sound like your stairs, and my upstairs neighbor gets home from work after 2am, so that kills my night, until about 5am. I feel you on the squeaky steps issue. I hope you guys stay in your home for a couple more years. It hcas so much charm. Stay blessed!
Howdy from Temple,Tx .I have to tell you I love your home. It is so warm and inviting. It is like a warm hug. God bless you and yours and thanks for sharing.
I love your cute home, you’ve decorated it so nicely! My family started out in a 1100 sf home with 1 bathroom & we had 4 children! It’s amazing how we can make things work! I wish you all the best with your new home purchase!
I love your home and decor. I shared this video with my sister as she still has the pink tile in her bathroom. It looks so pretty and fits the style of your home so well.
What a beautiful home that shows such love and respect for the beauty of its vintage 🏡✨☀️!! You and your family show the joy of the Lord and that’s why you are a joy to watch!! Please let us know the paint colors of your downstairs (looks like Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter 😊) and your bedroom 🙏🙏!!
What a transformation you made painting the outside of your home! Great deals you found on pieces, and beautiful table your hubby made you. He could always shave a couple inches off the bottom of the legs of the table.😊 Very neat that you rent the basement!👏👍 Blessings for the move!🌻🙏💖
Hi, Kristen. Enjoyed the tour of your little house. It is so charming. I know the new owners will love and care for it just as you did. We have an old farm house in Illinois that was built in 1896. I am excited to see your new home that the Lord gave you to enjoy and share with others. Love Ivy's " Kissable Cheeks". Your friends in Oklahoma.
I didn’t realize you lived in Omaha! We did too but in 2020 moved to North Carolina. We enjoyed Omaha but weather is better here🤣 I enjoy your channel❤️
Loving your channel. What a gem of a house. Lucky that Iowa is so affordable that you are able to live in such a beautiful place. Looking forward to watch more of your videos❤
@@KristenHoffman I’m watching your old garage sale prep video and wow you sure were cramped for closet living space. Happy for you to have a better overall living space. Look forward to seeing old and new videos. Thank you I needed a fresh channel to start watching. I watch a whole variety of stuff I don’t clothes thrift/ garage sale but I think I might start venturing out even though I’m a simple casual dresser I also lost 50+ lbs so I need to let go of the large and extra large sizes and not keep thinking I’ll gain again
This is so refreshing to see beautiful antiques and wood that hasn’t been painted. Not lots of generic boring furnishes. I love your kitchen!
I feel the same way about unpainted wood!
Your creaky floors make me want to cry because they remind me so much of my Grandma’s house. She’s been gone for years and her house (which my Grandpa built) was torn down but I can still smell what it smelled like and your creaky floors are making the memories even stronger 💚
Whenever we leave for a week, and come back, I can smell the old wood in our home. I LOVE it!
It’s glad to see people who appreciate the beauty in old houses and I can tell how well you are loving your charming vintage house.
Also your daughter closet door to no where could be her cute little mirror closet. Just something special for her. Keep enjoying it as well as others.😀
Good idea!
LOVE this style! A breath of fresh air from the endless white spaces all over RUclips.
I don't even know what to call it. Collected style?
The home shows so beautifully Kristen, I loved being able to see how it all flows together! High impact on a low budget 💞
That's the goal! We have been here for so long. It's going to feel crazy to have more space!
Lovely house.
My idea for the door that goes nowhere, would be to take the door off and put shelves there.

Makes great sense
Absolutely 👍
I love it, no empty walls, very cosy, love all the wood and the art and plants
Thank you!
I absolutely love your personality. I couldn’t help but to smile the entire video because your smile is truly infectious!
Wow, what an awesome compliment! Thank you!
Adorable. Your daughter is so happy and quiet. I’m watching everything in reverse. 😅
I love how everything is thrifted and flows so well together. Such a pretty collective home, that's what I want.
Thank you!

What a good idea for the washstand. I see one for sale near me, couldnt figure out what to do with it.
Love your home! So much character..my parents had the same alpine picture you have in your dining room in the 70s
70s artwork is my favorite!

Hello from our 1910 built home in Minnesota. The Grace painting is the official state painting of MN!
I think the pink bathroom would be adorable if you take out the sink and cabinet and swap it for a little dresser with a new (old look) sink dropped in. Love the house.
We had that same idea!
Love the pink bathroom.💕

Welcome! We have always loved living here!
We had a chair like your green one in the “reading nook” and a light just like the one above your TV in my family home in the mid 70’s to early 80’s.
Cut the legs down on your dining table…that would shorten it.
