Words cannot adequately describe the magnificence of this score.
There are no words, hitherto existing in the tongues of man, that I know of, that could adequately describe the magnificence of the film itself. The music is perfect. The cinematography is perfect. The acting is perfect. This movie is beautiful.
@@samuelbarber6177 I know it had to be historically accurate, but I can’t help but wish it had a happier ending where he stayed with them. 😭 the actual ending is just so gut wrenching.
0:39 goosebumps everytime‼️
@@12classics39 That isn't even the ending or start of his real life. He was a well respected archeologist before and an iconoclast and mythmaker philosopher after Arabia.
tears everytime I hear it, stops me in my tracks when I hear it. Brings me back to staring at the Sphynx when I was 15 years old back in 99
This music, especially the soaring violins, makes me want to ride across the Arabian desert.
With enough water, of course.
And plenty of sunscreen. 😅
Never tire watching this movie again and again and again. And listening to the musical score of the film. Kudos to great Maurice Jarre. Love him!
Quite simply , the greatest film EVER made .
David Leans greatest achievement as a film maker .
I've forgotten how many times I've watched this masterpiece. Perfection.
One of the most visually spectacular motion pictures ever made... I nearly fell out of my seat several times when I first saw it in a theater.
No CGI, just skillful, creative direction.
Just a classic! One of the finest historical films ever made. Superb score and theme.
Jack Hawkins,Anthony Quayle, Alec Guinness, Omar Sharif, Peter O'Toole, 😮 Never will another movie be made like this one ..Master piece 🤠🏜️
Its totally stonking, 100% underrated.

O'Toole and Sharif in their prime. Oh my.
One of the greatest movies ever made.
Amen
My favorite film from David Lean a true masterpierce in every sense of the word truly captivating and epic.
The London Philharmonic Orchestra sounds marvellous in this soundtrack. Wonderful production all ‘round!
NO CGI !
That's an unbelievable number of men, horses and camels in scene after scene after scene. Moderm movie directors could not even begin to plan and execute such complicated scenes.
To the best of my knowledge, the last blockbuster done entirely with practical effects was Waterworld released in 1995.
One of the most epic films of all time. Engraved in the hearts of many people and idealists😊👍⚘✌
The “Overture” to Lawrence of Arabia by Maurice Jarre remains shockingly exciting and beautiful. An absolute masterpiece.
😎🎹
A wonderful and beautiful film that wouldn't be made today.
Ridley Scott could do that.
Also Nolan
@@huntrrams I feel like even Nolan couldn't do it quite like this.
@@abercrombieblovs2042
Yes he could. It would be expensive as hell though and he had to find someplace to film other than where David Lean did it.
@@rolandmiller5456 I don't know about that - Nolan has done a lot of action movies and though he is an incredibly skilled director, not everybody has a wide range of things they can do well.
Something I remember best from Lawrence is the long panning shots over the desert sunrise, Lawrence himself only a pinprick on the vast ocean of sand, while the main soundtrack swells... for a full two to three minutes. I don't know whether it's Nolan's style to have that long of a pause filled with nothing but wonderment for the beauty of one's surroundings; from what I've seen of his work he tends to make pretty snappy dialogue and action sequences. Everything moves along very efficiently.
a bloody brilliant film!!
In every sense, this one is EPIC
There is a certain kind of Englishman, T.E. Lawrence was one of them, and there have been many others, who only ever feel at home abroad.
Very perceptive of you.
How perceptive of you.
He was born in Wales, Allan.
He was a Briton, had roots all over the British Isles.

One of the first movies I saw at a cinema, as a young boy.
Absolutely loved it and I still do.

This a masterpiece of maurice jarre
Happy 60th anniversary to Lawrence of Arabia, one of the greatest and most influential movies of all time. I’m so watching it this December to celebrate it.
Amazing scenery !
The best film ever made❤❤❤
Great cut for a great movie.
Just wonderful and eternity ❤
Masterpiece
OK
Once again, brilliant editing and brilliant knowledge of the movie and the footage.
Thanks for re-uploading this. Lawrence of Arabia was a timeless classic.
but sadly historically pretty inacurrate. Lawrence of Arabia did betray the arabic people, not really saved or helped them. He betrayed them to the British as much as i know.
@@lowenherzhendrik9708 he did not betray them at all. He in fact betrayed England by telling Prince Faisal about the Sykes-Picot Treaty which was classified information. He advocated for Arab independence at the Paris Peace Conference and turned down a knighthood in protest of Britain’s betrayal of its promises to Arabia. Letters of his have been uncovered that express his absolute outrage at the actions of the British in the Middle East.
@@12classics39 ah alright, maybe. But then he just seem to got used by the British like thae Arabs too i think so sadly lol.
Sus jefes lo engañaron a él.
Colonna sonora IMMORTALE ! !!!!!
Meraviglioso !!!!
Was fur ein wunderschones Film 😊
Spectacular!!
This... This is glorious
It's in my top ten movie faves.
My favorite film with "Chinatown" to follow.
A Fabuliously constructed imagined movie trailer hands above the originals, magnificent in it's imagy as for the music, well for me it is a soundtrack with much of the fmovie that has never been bettered.
Wonderful editing. David Lean would like.
Colonna sonora splendida !
Heart stopping and magnificent. Very fine editing.
The Greatest Adventure in World movie History .
Watched it for the first time yesterday. Still thinking about it
It’s a film that never leaves your mind. Ever.
The Tale of Freedom from an Empire, Revolution, Identity, and War.
Beautiful memories of my childhood, when my father would play the album on a record player❤
Every director seeing the desert scenes in this film for the first time, asked the director, David Lean, "How did you get a second shot???"
This movie is mesmerizing!!
Perfect song, movie and acting. ❤❤❤
I absolutely love these videos, HD FILm Tributes of movie themes. They don't make movies like these anymore. Too much political sensitivity. Plus the younger movie directors and producers lack imagination. Everything seems to be to cash in on "superheroes" megabucks. This is done at the expense of creativity. Sad
Dunkirk came out a few years ago didn’t it?
@@MineCoDewey I didn't like that movie. It cannot compare to Lawrence of Arabia, nowhere near.
I couldn't agree more. Some of the best movies ever made were in black and white.
The piece which started my love of film music when I was a kid.
The soundtrack is unbeatable.super❤❤❤
The greatest movie ever made.
Such a beautiful film
Grandiosa..
1:10 my hero is the great pop beast
Let's go the round!
Vamo lo redondooooo
Simplesmente, Colossal.....
masterpiece
Wonderful actors. Great❤❤❤
Very beautiful.
Magnífico
Música estonteante!
Muy linda película,me trae recuerdos a Egipto
Filme bárbaro ❤
Highest class of film that can come
It was Roger Ebert that singled out Lawrence of Arabia when he had to make a comparison for his review of Woman in the Dunes, for nothing else had captured sand in quite the same way. And, 60 plus years later, nothing since has.
Great music for great movie. Nothing more to say.
Well done matching score to images. Thx.
Wish they play it in theatres regularly. It d be a spectacle in big screen with reatored prints and surround sound.
It is a shame that "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Lawrence of Arabia" had to come out during the same year. Both are worthy of Best Film and Best Actor and Best Score.
🎵🎼🎶The ENTIRE film 🍿🎥 is in this ENTIRE score for this MASTERPIECE‼️🎵🎼🎶 🇸🇦🥰
Immortale !!!!!!!!!!
That new Battlefield 1 DLC looks sweet!
Hearing this music makes me want to soar. The closest to home landmark that I would picture this piece fitting is the Palo Duro Canyon is West Texas. Sure it doesn't sound grand, but I can listen to this anywhere that makes you feel small....
EXCELENTE LA MÚSICA Muy buena Película
Ever and ever always fight think ptay and hope in our future

The tale of Muadib.
You watch this and you'll realize just how crappy modern movies are.
Dune 2 was awesome
The feeling of realism in LOA is as strong as any movie that I can think of. But Lean didn't take any shortcuts to achieve realism, unlike the efforts you see in movies today. I'm referring to things like digital effects, manipulation of colors with software tools, using handheld camera techniques (possible with the small, lightweight cameras we have now), a rush to finish films as quickly and as inexpensively as possible etc..
@@Playboicarti90Where do you think the inspiration , for Dune filming came from? Herbert saw Lawrence before, he wrote Dune ...hmm
@@lawrenceburchett7411Lawrence of Arabia was also inspired in some AMAZING very OLD tales.
There was GREAT storytelling in the past. With sound effects and etc.
Also the BEST theatre ❤
how in the hell did Peter O'Toole never win an Oscar.
I fear England is slipping under the waves , and it breaks my heart.
