What a great video and very well presented. Not pretending to be an expert but very easy to follow. I'm returning to screen printing after a long absence, taking myself right back to basics as there's always something to learn. Some great tips (especially the coin!) so thanks for making a great video!
BTW - thanks for the great tip on placing the quarter on the Bottom Edge of screen to maintain off contact when using good pressure - priceless! The Riley 250 leaves a lot to be desired as far as ease of adjustment. I couldn't go with the better 300 series in my particular space - should have opened up the wall to get it in!
Oh yeah glad you liked that! That quarter trick saved me a punch in my early years of screen printing. It’s a easy fix for off contact. The 250 is a great press but doesn’t have everything you need so I hear you on that! But hey keep investing in the business and you’ll have more🙏🏽
Your video editing is on point ☝️ love the quick different angles of everything towards the end when you showed that high speed into the last shirt going in the dryer. 🔥🔥🔥💪
Thanks for this video. It’s exactly what I was looking for to learn how to line up the registration marks. Now I want to buy a press with the micro-adjustment knobs. Just seems like an easier time. Thanks.
I am glad it helped! thank you for watching! A press with micro registration will be game changer. Highly recommend getting a press with micro registration knobs even if it is your first press, it will make your life 1000 times easier.
Hey Bud - always appreciate your well thought out and straight forward videos - thanks! What's the name of that squeegee you like for white ink? Couldn't catch it in the audio. Thanks Man!
Hey man! Great work and some really cool informations. May I ask if you dilute your ink with something ? When you cover your design the ink seems to be very smooth and easy to apply. I used : Union Maxopake Bright Cotton White and I'm having hard time to deal with it. Cheers man
Bro I have a question, where did you get your aluminum frames?. As you know from my comment on one of your videos I'm starting with this new business and for now the only frames I can buy are made from wood. But I do want something like you.
You can find aluminum frames at most screen print supply businesses. I get my frames from Ryonet(screenprinting.com) check them out and hope your business does well!
@@baavproductions Thank you so mucho bro!!. It's amazing all the effort you put on your videos, I'm so glad I found your channel. Keep up with this amazing content🔥
Yeah, that is completely normal. The first print of white won't be solid or fully bright and will look faded. Once the second print goes on is when it feels solid and looks white.
It definitely has been consistent and sharp lately but I do always have issues with emulsion clogging up in the open areas of the screen but that issue was solved with rinsing the screen more and air compressor. I use Ryonets Cryocoat emulsion by green glaaxy and it worked like a charm when I first got it and I have been using it ever since.
Sometimes when I’m done a print round and the ink is still wet I’ll do a quick flash to ensure I don’t get ink on the shirt accidentally. There also might be an argument that if your platen is really sticky and you peel the shirt off it might stretch it to cause the ink crack or break apart a bit despite curing it in place in the conveyor afterwards.
Right now? Honestly just test runs. I have some designs i created for myself to wear out but that's more for advertising. Little by little. I just want to learn the process. Get everything i need then go ham.
@@InsubordinatePatriot Yeah I gotcha. Test runs is a lot of prep work for screen printing as you see form all the set up needed from making screens to registering etc.. heat press is a good route too. But just see what interests you the most and attack!

Hey Bud - always appreciate your well thought out and straight forward videos - thanks! What's the name of that squeegee you like for white ink? Couldn't catch it in the audio. Thanks Man!
I just use a 70 durometer squeegee ! I’ve also recently in my newer videos been using the “badass manual squeegee” which has been great!
Thanks for this video, really informative and helpful! Your work looks great!

What's the smallest size room u could comfortably use that satellite press in Baav?
Mhm maybe a 10x10 room but you would definitely be crammed in
Do you have any issues with the first layer of white not being completely solid ? Maybe a faded look? Thank you for the video!!!

You seem to have really great luck with your emulsion washing out. Can I ask what kind do you use?
It definitely has been consistent and sharp lately but I do always have issues with emulsion clogging up in the open areas of the screen but that issue was solved with rinsing the screen more and air compressor. I use Ryonets Cryocoat emulsion by green glaaxy and it worked like a charm when I first got it and I have been using it ever since.
Great video! Why are u using the flash dryer and then conveyor?
Sometimes when I’m done a print round and the ink is still wet I’ll do a quick flash to ensure I don’t get ink on the shirt accidentally.
There also might be an argument that if your platen is really sticky and you peel the shirt off it might stretch it to cause the ink crack or break apart a bit despite curing it in place in the conveyor afterwards.
Flash dryer is to quickly dry the print and add second layer or second color. The conveyor is for final cure of the print
I hear you on that, great tip to ensure to ink stains
What squeegee durometer you used for the fn white ink?
70
If my ink isn’t clearing thru but clunking up what can be the reason ?
Where can I get some of that black paper that you do your test prints on please? And what is it called?
It’s called a test pellon sheet that you can get from Ryonet or any screen print supply stores
Bro amazing videos, can you show how you wash screen after printing
Sorry this comment never showed up for me, but yeah for sure I can. I definitely have in my more recent uploads.
@@baavproductions yeah, thanks a lot
@@sunnatov_a6594 no doubt!
nice set up bro
Thank you bro! Appreciate it!
do you go up to 340 even when using low cure inks like fn ink?
Do you use the same size design for the 7XL shirt?
for this order yes I did. Unless the client wants to pay for a new screen to print a new design.
Good stuff 👍
Appreciate it Chris!
Great content!
Thank you!!
Are you doing the artwork too?
We mainly outsource to our designer
I'm a beginner. I love creating designs. Where do i start.. please help

Hey my friend
Hello there!
Hey Friend, Where did you get that 7XL Shirt? My neighbor is a big guy and asked me to make him a shirt.
@@randlest-shirtcollc8523 The client provided it, but she said she got it off amazon!
