Advanced Beginner Ukulele - Lesson 7 - Iko Iko - Mute Strum

Hello ukulele players! In this video I use the fun strum movement called the mute strum, (chucking or chunking) referring to the sound made when making this strum movement. I demonstrate this move to the Iko Iko song which gives the song a more intense rhythm feel and this song lends itself to that sound. We are in the Key of F! and this song uses only 2 chords but because of the mute movement I have put it in the Advanced Beginner level. You will see on this chart there are some options for chord forming but we can stick to regular F and C chord shapes, but if you are interested do explore those other options.
