I bring my Hula Pack from Lunar Concepts fill with Pizza Rolls to ensure I have the appropriate calorie intake to substain my Basement OPS.
Sick setup bro! I’m suck with my Jansport pack and some slim Jim’s but I’ll work my way up to your level someday.
Now I want pizza rolls
I keep the Costco trail mix in a spiritus systems dangler myself. Very useful.
name checks out
Consider upgrading from Sharpie to Milwaukee Inkzall, they are far better. Additionally, a decent alternative to stuck cases is a paint can opener key.
Fountain pen gang checking in: we have a writing system with permanent inks that can literally write on any surface, from paper to river rocks to literal glass panes. Plus you get some old school flair. My recommend: Noodler's Boston Safety Pen with an india-style ink or one of Noodler's excellent permanent inks.
I have started carrying a paint can opener in my chest rig and range bag for stuck casings. They are about $.69 at Lowes and are safer then a cleaning rod for clearing a live round that is stuck.
Me too, one tied to plate carrier, and one tied to belt.
Very nice
Not sure what it’s called but adding the segments to the timeline of the video would be extremely appreciated especially in longer videos as it helps find parts of the video
Your cinematographer knocks it out of the park every time 👏👏👏
I marked the correct staples tag at my ace hardware with a small sharpie mark. Use the Benchmade knife as a target.
Staplers… have you seen mine?
Yeah... sorry...mmmmkkkkk I'm gonna need you to come in on Saturday 😅
Topo Chicos and limes... gotta stay hydrated
I prefer fast drying over water resistant footwear (water reistant will get wet, and slow to dry). Good old fashioned Altama brand jungle boots are my go to.
For colder temps. Up here in Washington, I have full grain leather Lowa boots.
Yeah that makes sense
I bring my 11 year old daughter... teach em young
Virginia is a four season state, with every season experiencing the extreme ranges of temperature generally due to its central nature on the eastern seaboard. Salomon Sua Sponte boots work fantastically well as a generalist option being GTX, but if you plan to spend a lot of time in the swamps or treading through puddles the classic 5.11 jungle boots in coyote have held up for a few years for me surprisingly well despite 5.11's reputation for not being very gucci. For full on winter, blizzard conditions- the columbia bugaboot has stood out as an amazing option both in terms of thermal and in the shell itself repelling water ingress. I could honestly go top to bottom and talk about this all day but then you'd have to pay me (;
Great video. I inevitably forget something every time I go out. Special Pie has been surprisingly good. I'm just hammering through your entire upload history and its great, incredibly helpful.
I'm a bit late but for outdoor wear on an average range day it's my boonie hat, ear pro, eye pro, t-shirt, jeans, belt, leather cowboy boots, and wool blend socks. If it gets a bit chilly I'll usually wear a 1/4 zip sweater and maybe gloves if need be.
watched a milspec mojo video way back where he used the cheap 75cent clippy clamps to hang cardboard targets, ive been using em ever since, reusable and you dont have to pick out staples later to get it flush again. just clip in to the upright. i still use staples if im using specific printouts for other drills or zeroing.
Yep, 100%. I run PVC stands with little 1" slats of wood, IPSC cardboard and cheapo binder clips. Everything is cheap, robust and can be replaced when shot up.
Dudes… I need a hat. When will they be restocked? The gray is my preference, but black works too!
As Cadre, perhaps you should consider a litter and a couple of smoke grenades. If an accident happens, the litter will save a lot of unnecessary further injury. And if the injury is life threatening, the smoke will help you bring in helicopter/medivac quickly and safely.
I just had the stapler issue this past weekend😂 I went to TSC and Walmart and couldn’t remember what staples I bought last time. I almost just bought a whole new stapler. Got to the range and I had a whole box of staples hiding in the bottom of the bag. It’s now saved in my Amazon cart.
Don't forget about the 5.11 tactical pants and shirts
Or some decent ones
Tons of sharpies and different colors for multiple shooters or when we zero you know where the shots have lead too(learned it in SAFS)
I have literally tried every way to get ahold of you Eric!!!! I’ll be back in Tampa next month and I wanted to swing by and buy swag!!!
A couple of thumbtacks will also do if you don’t want to spend on a stapler and ammo for it.
I love what y’all are doing but maybe day I’ll get to hear Eric finish a sentence lol Eric if you like a wide toe box try Oboz. They’re incredible and all I wear now.
A lot of couples finish each other's sentences
I love my leather oboz I’ve had them for 2 years so far.
@@davidb9323 they’re my favorite footwear now. I’ve been wearing them for 3-4 years now.
@@tannicapple will def have to try those out for sure
@@barrelandhatchetI have them too they are goated
After running through too many Sharpies and having too many dry out I switched over to grease-pencils/china-markers, etc. Dirt cheap, come in bulk boxes and don't dry out. Only suggestion I really have. This is probably more of an issue for people who may not get to train every week. Also great idea for having in your car, since markers will definitely dry out in a car pretty easily.
Try the paint can lid opener for stuck casings!!!
Glad I was able to stop by the shop last week. Great to meet you guys, even for just a couple of hours. Would've stayed and chatted all day but the kids were getting bored. Chick-fil-A!
U
Hahaha it was great to meet you too man!
Its funny u mention pants, i live in south Georgia, i wear shorts 90% of the time, i rarely wear pants, so with that being said, if im in a real life situation 99.99% of the time im in shorts and crocs.. at home im in shorts and a wife beater barefooted. So everytime someone saids train to be ready, well, if that bump in the night happens i have no time to put on pants, eyes, ears, vest. Its grab and go.. more than likely i wont have time to put on nods or anything.. i understand training is to keep u ready.
That is hilarious!
How has the SORDIN Pros Ear protection not been mentioned ?! I have the LED Pros from them and they’re awesome. I have a small head and they muffs don’t hit my buttstock when shouldering my rifle. They even have a pretty good spacial sound in the speakers. Fantastic.
Yes I have bought a new staple gun for that exact reason. F in the chat
Hoping to come take a rifle class when it cools off!
We will have them available. Cannot wait to train with you.
Gas station aviators seem to work for me.
Can’t buy the arc’teryx knee pads anymore they’re restricted to mil/LE
Wow.
I’ve definitely bought a new stapler Instead of buying new staples on more than one occasion 😅
And who belongs to the chopper?! 🚁👍
Hey yo where is your shop? I’m here on the east space coast of Florida but would like to come check y’all out. Where ya at???
Do you guys even work?
Thanks for the video. Be safe
Lol, we work in the training and gun industry
@barrelandhatchet haha I know. You guys are killing it. Thanks for the videos and "working" aka shooting and having fun. I know there's more behind the scenes that is labor intensive but it's good seeing the lighthearted bromance in the workshop.
T50s
Ever worry about gaters running through the swamps
Please let's us know if you are coming to Michigan?
What’s the name of your shop ?
I own serval staplers 😅
What staple gun is that?
Range attire is cut off jorts, and no shirt. Let’s go
4 or 5 staplers in my box.....
Skittles.
Which leatherman were those?
10:52 the one on the right is a Mut. I think that is the one that is hard to find or restricted. The other is the Skeletool CX.
The wave and P4 are great EDC choices as well.
Edit: I was correct - the Mut is a flex
You guys should do a "Great Wickening" patch haha
Didn't see a discord link here or on the site or insta?
We have a Discord opened up, but are still trying to learn how to use it. It’s kind of a crazy chat room in there until we figure out how to organize a better.

Any chance for new discord link? This one expired. Thanks.@@barrelandhatchet
I prefer Salomon and Merrells
Try Oboz. I used to run Solomon sneakers and mids and felt after a while. they would sit different and give me knee pain. Merrill’s wear out pretty quickly.
@@davidb9323 I will do that, thanks!
I have a large 4 drawer tackle box I use for tools, cleaning supplies, and parts. Now I need a stapler and sharpie.
Milwaukee sharpies will change your life, and look up actual comms, guys, for crying out loud. Don't use cheap radios
guilty for having no clue there were different staples and they don't intermingle
19:59
Water..
Jokers…
Where did you get that roach patch?
Guns and ammo
If you have never had Monkey butt, get you some wet wipes!
Question, what top ring picatinny mount is on that scope mount? I've only been able to find ones on Amazon, but not sure how those would hold up.
American defense I think, don't buy the Amazon shit. I mean if you just want to see if it's something you want to try out before dropping $200-$300 on a set of bases, by all means, if your one of the Ohio guys they mentioned, I'm in the 513 and have a junk set you can tryout and see if it's something you want to do
Milwaukee Inkzall is better than sharpie. Fight me
