The only VE mod I disabled was Vanilla Genetics Expanded, since it felt like too many events were monstrosities.
Rimworld is a video game, it's a colony management game and then so much more... This video talks about it and tells the story of a colony I played in it, does anyone read descriptions or is it just SEO robots in here?

Warcaskets are just adeptus astartes without the childhood gene-therapy and I like it a lot. But they are really quite OP when used with certain colonies, this was a VERY easy colony to play, the next few things I do in rimworld will have to be especially brutal to compensate.
PS. Sometimes when you've been sat in your editing software for a long time, you just get hit with a sudden need to add a random star wipe to your project, it worked for star wars so it'll work for me... Hope you lot enjoy.
if you want a drunk playthrough do a winston waves game w/ no killbox.
How long can you reasonably expect to last without giving yourself crazy OP colonists?

@@HazzorPlaysGames you could probably manage a 120-150 days without an exuberant amount of stress. it would also depend on your definition of a killbox.
for myself killbox's are a purposeful built structure w/ a 1 tile wide hallway to funnel raiders into a very intentional set of circumstances.
natural forming chokepoints however are just smart people taking advantage of terrain i.e. medieval castles being built on hills butted up against bodies of water.
i have also personally never played rimworld without run&gun, and achtung! installed so dynamic moving battle fields appeal to me much more than static positions in a killbox.

Really top tier Rimworld content. My only gripe is, as someone else said, it's almost too fast in 2 episodes. I'm not into the whole 30-episode series that only gets to the midgame anyway, but this might a be a bit t o o on the quick side. Still really well done, looking forward to the next :)
Yeah i did consider that I might be skipping too much, i think it's probably with good reason thay most rimworld content is crwated around shorter objectives that take around 100-200 in game days.
But I didn't want to do a load of videos in a series as they don't tend to perform as well with the almighty algorithm yknow.

Man attacking the imperium is such a low blow. The imperium are actually really good dudes. They always offer peace, voluntary tax collection, they offer reasonable rewards for quests and send aid if you are allied
In other words, the imperium spams you with peace deals, comes begging twice a year and if you are dumb enough to donate/quest for them in order to get psychic powers, they will spam you with promotion ceremonies for your ~12 low title holders

Quick tip, vanilla genetics expanded doesn't replace events with monstrosities, it just adds new monstrosity events in. The rate of the events can also be changed in the mod settings.

I like to build 3 people into melee tanks with the most op melee wep I can make. Then just stack shotguns behind them and iv handled most raids with nothing more than a bruise. Combat extended is the best thing modders have ever made
seeing as you made the reference, there is a warhammer 40k warcasket mod that is really high quality.
Yeah someone let me know about that on stream, but let's be real, warcaskets are already direct references to space marines... A bolter would be fun though...
the admech dont like being outside of the noosphere. i always get the impression that it makes everything look like in observer, so when its gone they have to see how shit everything really looks. also making it a radioactive hellscape is so accurate to the admech.

I'm a huge fan of post-apocalypse fiction so just randomly decided to create this weird narrative that I'm for some reason broadcasting to the remnants of the population after some form of cataclysm or another.

Haha i didn't realize this was on this video... Yeah i had some worse framerates when things got busy on this playthrough. Never really bad though
