The part about taxes is a bit incorrect, Muslims pay Zakat (alms) tax which helps the poor, the non Muslims pay Jizya (protection tax) but don’t have to serve the military whereas Muslims do. Also it’s the same amount. People still converted to Islam but no because of tax since sharia taxes wealth not income.

Well done for cutting down on animal protein! I've been vegan now since 2011 and it makes me really happy when I see others thinking before eating.
That is the only correct thing to if you care about our planet, animals and your own health.
It's rough on vegans in Bosnia to be honest we eat way too much meat.

7:40 It is important to point out as no one mentiones it at all... when the Ottomans conquered Bosnia and introduced their rule, it was either you pay taxes or you convert and as a Muslim it was your duty to fight for the empire. It's one or the other!
The guy explained it in such way that you think and you actually confirmed it... ohh I just convert and I am off the hook but that's not the case. That's not how Bosnia became Muslim. If that was the case, then Greece, Bulgaria,Macedonia, Serbia and Monte Negro would all be Muslim just like Bosnia.
If there was any fighting going on in Africa, off you go, it's your duty to go! I'd argue that paying taxes was much easier task to do. Converting wasn't a way out but a way deeper in.
