The Delusions Of Draymond Green. ( One of the most OVERRATED players )

  • The constant delusions of Draymond Green has pushed me to always dislike him as a player. As good as a role player as he is, he talks like he is better than everyone and I seriously dislike his attitude. He is only good in very specific situations and circumstances as we can now clearly see without all of the other all-stars around him.

      Ye its honestly crazy to me that he thinks that. I understand as athletes you have to have self belief and confidence and a bit of arrogance but this is just straight delusion. I can probably name 75 current players that are better than him in today's nba let alone of all time. Maybe if you made a top 75 role players of all time he can make that list but what about his skillset makes him think he belongs in teb top 75 is beyond me. Granted he's contributed to his teams wins but no more than many other players that are better than him that have not had no where near the same money or attention for doing even more than him.

And before someone else sees this comment and says that's the same for every player etc etc remember that most players will still have great numbers and play well regardless of what team they are on. And if draymond is comparing himself to the likes of MJ and top 75 players ever I'm gonna hold him to high standards and unfor6he straight doesn't cut it. Draft him on 95 percent of other teams and he is out the league, Kenneth faread was technically just as good if not better cos he could shoot better and look at him.

      Y’all don’t know basketball, the reasons the warriors are the 7th seed is because of Steph and draymond. Draymond is a defensive monster, a great mentor and an amazing playmaker. He makes the team better, look how the warriors first games without draymond, and look at them now. Know the game, just because the stats don’t show that doesn’t mean he’s trash, look at Dennis Rodman.

      @@isai6054 if you read carefully in all my comment I never called him trash and I definitely agree that stats don't show the whole story. But your really telling me that draymond is an allstar and he is a max contract player? And I've mentioned before his attitude and the way he goes on is like he's lebron. I love confidence but there's a fine line. Also did you see when draymond played without anyone. Did u see how he played and how he played without anyone around him. He was playing very bad. Offence and defence. Also even though stats don't give you the whole story u can't ignore it completely. I'm also baffled that u just compared rodman to draymond. Wow

      @@isai6054 look, if you are a fan of his thats fine. And like I said before. He is a very good role player. He's definitely not an allstar and definitely not a max contract player. Yes he is partly the heart of the team. Even though I think curry is more the heart of the team and the glue. He took advantage of his situation and did well for those years with the gsw amazing team but he is not ask skilled as he's portrayed to be or the caliber of player he is sometimes protrayed to be. I will again repeat, the way he talks and carries himself sometimes is arrogant and he talks down to people and he has been a dirty player repeatedly. If he was humble it would help that image of his but he is no more than a good / great role player. No one is knocking that. But he is delusional and ps alot of the time he hurts his team with too much negative emotion. I mean kd clearly said draymond was one of the main reasons he left. Thats not good however way u look at it. His stats are not good however way you look at it and when he plays with regular nba players his play is not good offensively or defensively however way u look at it. Also the reason he is able to pass so well at time is because no one is respecting his shot to guard him and also for years he had 3 of the top 5 shooters of all time next to him which opens up the floor and gets u easier assists.

    He definetely talks a lot of shit for other players, for a guy that can't shoot, can't dribble, can't dunk or finish a contested layup, average rebounder, and an ok defender. A guy like that would not last in the league more than two years if not being lucky enough to be drafted with the two best shooters of all time.

  • @JJC_T
    @JJC_T 2 года назад +4

    So overrated. His offense is so bad that it creates the illusion that he’s a great playmaker, when in reality he has no choice but to pass the ball up whenever he gets it because he knows he can’t score. And when you have an all-star backcourt and you’re not shooting the ball yourself, it’s easy to crank up the assist numbers. He’s decent at defense, I’ll give him that, but that’s pretty much it. I bet on the Warriors to win the finals and though they did win, it was definitely not because of him. He was such a liability on offense that his teammates had to work extra hard to score because the Celtics could comfortably double team anyone except him. And yeah his defense was pretty much trash the whole series as well. And there he is talking like he’s some irreplaceable piece of a championship team. I can think of a lot of players that can easily replace him and make the warriors an even better team. To put it simply, if you have Draymond Green as the best player on your team, the team is pretty much doomed. If Draymond Green were on a bad team, no one would even notice him. A player like him is definitely not all-star level like he claims to be.

That ain’t not role player. He’s putting up those numbers to go to the finals. He also almost averaged a triple double in the 2019 finals, without kd again. He makes the warriors defense and facilitates the offense. Watch the games. He’ll switch from locking down a point guard then locking down a center. That doesn’t show up in the stats. Very few other players can do that. He grabs a rebound and immediately pushes before the defense is set and makes a great pass to a wide open bucket. You can’t judge a player based off of regular season stats. Playoff is when the game actually matters and he puts up insane numbers and has a huge impact on why the warriors have been so successful

      @@bengehrmann5246 ye everything you said is right. But as I've explained in my other comments and in the video. My major problem is his delusional attitude and the fact that he is a dirty player and hes over arrogant. I love confidence but he takes it too far and doesnt have the game to back it up constantly. You are talking about specific numbers of a series or 1 playoffs. He averages, 9 points and 6 rebounds. Do you know how many players I can name that averaged way more than that and did well in the playoffs on championship teams. Like you said stats are not everything and I agree with that but if you are actually a basketball player you can tell whe someone is skilled or not. Draymond has very below average handles and a bad shot and isn't the best at finishing. His situation made him stand out more even though he definitely took advantage of that and credit to him. But regardless, without KD that team was still so stacked and its alot easier to play when you have greats around you. Look at his games when klay and steph were injured. Look at the whole season. The eye test will tell you hes not who he thinks he is.

    This just shows that you clearly know nothing about basketball. playing physical and trash talk is part of draymonds game and what makes him a great player. say what you want, but golden state would not be a dynasty, not even close, without draymond. His achievements back it up:
    3x Champion
    3x All Star,
    DPOY
    3x All 1st Team Defense

      Playing physical and trash talking is definitely part of his game and I love that, But calling him a great player is madness. Golden State would have definitely been a dynasty without Draymond but they would have needed a Draymond "type" of player. I give him credit for doing his role well and making the most of a fortunate situation but at the end of the day he is very replaceable with someone who does the things he does as the league is full of them. His achievements are a direct result of the greatness that was around him that allowed him to maximize his minimal basketball skill set. I like him on a team but the way he goes on is like he is one of the best in the NBA. Just look how he plays when he has no one around him. Its embarrassing and not All star quality.
