How beautiful can any one song be?
This is my husband's and mine wedding song. After 52yrs I still tear up when I hear it
Bless you both. What a wonderful selection for your nuptials.
Great to see the remaining members still preforming live . They had such great classic songs. 😀
Wow! They're still amazing! Love that song too.😍Oldies but goodies.
They are not original members, none of the guys were originals but they sound great non the less. This might be the best version of this song 👍
Oh my they sound absolutely marvelous! As good as they were years ago.
We saw the Vogues minus Bo Wagner in Las Vegas. We hope to catch them again this July 2024
Give me the old-time performers any day.
@annabelle2ful Oh definitely... when voices were unique and didn't all sound the same, like they do today
I love this song! The Vogues have my favorite version!❤❤❤
It is amazing that their voices does not succumb to age,in fact it gets better like wine...❤❤❤
I saw them on last year's Happy Together Tour and they were amazing. I'll see them again this year. I CAN NOT WAIT. OLDIES RULE ❤️👌👍
Just saw them last night. Their harmonies are unbelievable
great song darlin 🤩
Me too
Me too, in fact the concert is tommorow
I agree. I grew up with these!
That was a fantastic performance they should be inducted into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame!
still gives me goosebumps... 14 yrs old when this came out
One of the greatest groups ever.
Some of the most beautiful music ever made.
Always loved the vogues such great harmonies brings back great memories
I was a troubled teen in the 60's, unchurched, difficult home....but everytime I heard this song on the radio, I thought of Jesus. The Holy Spirit was faithful to draw me to Himself for salvation 4 1/2 yrs later. But it was The Lettermen version.❤❤❤
we read the same love letter from Jesus back in our teens. I’m 78 and here we are having returned to same sound and spiritual vibrations of our yesteryears praise the Lord Jesus Christ 🕊️
What a great performance! Great to see the Vogues keeping the oldies alive!
Glen Campbell wrote this son at age 5. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. I had the honour of recording it requested by my dear departed friends wife.
No, he didn’t.
At age 5???
No it was at 25 years old!❤
I was born in '83 and heard this in '91 on a cassette tape I got as a second-grader, but I would have loved it even more had I been born in '43 or '48! It would have been interesting growing up in the '60s.
born in the '50s would be better,,, then we both could have enjoyed the summer of love and maybe woodstock
These guys and ‘The Lettermen’ were(& still are) class acts!
First heard this song in 1968 when I was only 9 years old. One of my all time favorites.
hey you ,,,, I was 8 LoL 🤩
My wife grew up outside Pittsburgh and the original Vogues were the "pride" of Turtle Creek. She remembers them always playing local events in the 60's. The late great Bill Burkette was that amazing lead baritone. Sadly Don Miller also passed away last year. I had hoped that they would have been inducted in to Rock Hall, because their talent and sound was worthy.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke and disgrace to real R&R, Imagine some of those that aren't in there and then some of the Rap artist that are in there. Ridiculous !!
@@jakewelsh6930 So true. Johnny Maestro is another example of a big mistake by the Rock Hall.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (you can't imagine how immeasurably painful it was for me to type those words) has sunken to the depths of "diversity and quotas".
@@ukrandr Yes. We live in Cleveland . The Rock Hall is now just a museum. Not a 'Hall of Fame." We don't even get the awards venue, except occasionally. Big missed opportunity to have had many, many reunions, just as Pittsburgh ( TJ) did for a long time. Now like us, the era is dying.
My wife grew up in Adderly Borough, just outside Turtle Creek. My mother-in-law helped out when they performed there during the 4th of July performance. Years later, I took her on a river dinner cruise and the Vogues were performing on the boat. It was a night to remember.
All these years ...... and here it comes again
Even though these singers (mostly) aren't the original members of the Vogues, they certainly are singing the pants off that song, and sound just as good! Bless you!
These are the original singers, only Bill Burkett who passed away is missing!
@@mikewood840None of these sang on the songs they perform live. The singer, Troy, is the son of Stan Elich who bought the trademark, and therefore the name, to The Vogues in 2000. The grey haired singer, Royce Taylor, was in that trademark touring version of the band and came back a few years ago when original member Hugh Geyer retired. The guy on the left, Bo Wagner, is a Frank Sinatra impersonator who joined the band a couple of years back. Sadly, not even close to the original line-up any more; Two have passed away, one has retired, and Chuck Blasko performs with his own Vogues in the 14 Western Pennsylvania counties that the judge allows him perform, to while the trademark group tours everywhere else.
THAT IS NOT CORRECT NONE OF THESE GUY ARE THE ORIGINALS. . BO WAGNER (ON LEFT) WAS A MEMBER OF THE 4 COINS..... ROYCE TAYLOR (ON RIGHT) USED TO BE A DJ IN PENNSYLVANIA TROY ELICH IN THE MIDDLE IS THE TRADEMARK OWNER OF THE GROUP. HIS FATHER STAN WAS WITH THE GROUP BEFOE HE PASSED AWYA BUT HE WAS NOT AN ORIGINAL MEMBER EITHER....... TROY SANG WITH 2 ORIGNAL MEMBERS FOR A WHILE... @@mikewood840
@@welshieallovertheplace they have a history to match The Drifters!
Well there needs to be truth in packaging as it is not made clear that these are not the original singers on the hit records you remember. Someone bought the rights to the name and promote the band as the Vogues which is legally true but not the same folks who sang the hits. For the folks coming to the show, they are hearing a cover band.
timeless talent
They sound great! I remember hearing them on the radio! 🥰
This song gets to me everytime and their voices just pure bliss! They make you feel every note!❤
Saw them 2 weeks ago (Aug 28th) at the 2023 Minnesota State Fair with the "Happy Together" Tour. They were outstanding! The rest of the performers were Gary Puckett,The Classics IV, Little Anthony, The Cowsills and The Turtles. It was a Dynamite show!
Love this song from my high school days.... these guys were legendary.
🎶💫🎶
Love this song 1958 Sophomore year in high school Mt. Diablo, CA
One of my favorite songs ever
What a wonderful show tonight God bless you and everyone at your show
Saw them last year in the Happy Together Tour in Nashville, TN!! They were great! The whole show is wonderful!!!
This song and Silence is Golden, to me, are the most true lyrics for me in college. How manysongs ha ve "understand" as a key word in this wonder.
Wow! They still sound great after all these years.
Mark of good music is its still around today, my music my era GOLDEN AGE
Just saw them tonight on the Happy Together tour August 3rd Thursday night at the Kodak Center
Great job.
Boy this brings back memories! Thanks🙏🏻😉👍
In a word :awesome 😂❤
Such a full sound.
Wow! What can be said! I’m older and remember well this group and song
Bo Wagner coming back to this group was what made them who they are today! Make no mistake, he's the voice with the difference! Without him, they're back to square one!
WOW!!!!!! Goosebumps!!!! Love!!! 🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍
Awesome still
Lovely performance.
The original is cowritten by country singer Glen cambell.
THEY SOUND SO GOOD ..I WAS A YOUNG TEENAGER...WHERE
HAS THE TIME GONE !!
The guys are still great!
One of my favorites.
It’s 10/4/24 in Austin, Tx! Great song for that era! I’m 75 and still rockin’ to the oldies today🥳🎶
Such a sweet song, helping me through a hard time right now even though I'm very close to slipping off the edge... But maybe if i turn around, there's going to be a hand on my shoulder to drag me back up?
One of my Favorite Oldies, but yet Timeless.💕💕💕
They are so good!
I love The Vogues! They’re from Turtle Creek, PA. I am from New Castle, PA, not far from there.
MORE PLEASE
You.got.right❤❤❤
Good dancing music. Turn out the lights and sway.
Wow. Still sounding great. And just a few weeks ago !!
Very nice , haven’t heard that in ages .
I cried 👍😭
Royce Taylor...the voice of The Vogues.
100%!!!!!!!
❤️❤️❤️
I grew up in Mc keesport. I remember when the Vogue Terrace burned down
My father owned the wrecking yard above Turtle Creek
I would love to get them to Vegas where I now live
I remember seeing them do a concert at the West Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania several times. They were really good. They signed pictures and albums for the people that bought them and even posed for pictures with the instamatic cameras. Love their music.
The Vogues sound great as always. The boys wouldn't recognize Turtle Creek today.
Beautiful
As fantastic a performance as this is, they're 'The Vogues' in name only; the lead singer's father owned the trademark for many years and handed it down when he passed away. He did get original members Bill Burkette and Hugh Geyer on board for a few years but Hugh retired and Bill, sadly, passed away a couple of years ago.
Epic!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍
Awesome! Mike really brings great talent to his show!
They were great
Fantastic
Still got it. Wonderful!
They.so.good.i
.love.the.50.
The original Vogue version was great, but I always preferred the Glen Campbell version released in 1961 on the Crest label or his version released on his 1968 album “Hey Little One”. Cheers
Could be the best song ever!
Just awesome!!
Beautiful ❤️✨
It has a certain similarity to the Elvis song "How the Web Was Woven".
Final Destination 3 vibes.
Beautiful song.
Just seen them last night, St George Theater, Happy Together tour, great show
A little before my time...but I love this song💗
Outstanding! No more words!
The Vogues are my fav vocal group, but are these guys from the original lineup? I don't recognize any of them. I found a page that gives their names.. NONE of them are any of the original members. From left to right in this video they are Bo Wagner, Troy Elich, and Royce Taylor
The original 4 members were Bill Burkette (lead baritone), Don Miller (baritone), Hugh Geyer (first tenor), and Chuck Blasko (second tenor).
Still sounds good 😊💓
My friend Royce Taylor can really sing!
I love Royce! He is fantastic!!!
❤️Awesome!
How many different Vogue groups were there?
WHEN & WHERE??
Huck: Is that you on the bass?
Wendy in final destination 😳
Not trying to put them down or anything, these guys sing really great but without any original Vogue, it's different, it's sad that Bill Burkette and Don Miller have passed away in recent years, Chuck Blasko is the only active Vogue but he performs with his Vogues in different parts of Pennsylvania because he is only restricted to those areas he's allowed to perform in .
I.wiss.my.love.was.here.but.now.he.gonee😊❤❤ 2:44
yeah his name is supposedly mikey
Very pretty song. That horror movie tried to ruin it but luckily that was 20 years ago and forgotten.
I think only one of these guys was an original member
No Bill Burkett or Hugh Geyer!! Who are these guys??
These guys were not the original band. None of these imposters were in the original group.
Long haired girls did make every OK.
Are there any original members here?
NO!!!
I want to see them so bad but all that is left is the nosebleed section... 😢😢😢😢
no idea what this song means
