I’m not a fan that you didn’t finish showing your fix for the saw, the build or at least the other side finished and how you finished using a vac system. Start to finish or maybe in a next day follow-up vid when you make a video.

Wes, my good man please stop calling it a chop saw it is a miter saw, chop saws cut metal miter saws cut wood lol I love what you do, I have been a Carpenter and woodworker for around 30 years now and I still love it. I am nearing completion of a Oak shaker inspired Writing desk. How can I send you some pictures of my work?😁

Hi Wes, after so many years watching ww on RUclips I’m not sure why the algorithm only recommended your channel to me now, but I’m enjoying your videos.
Regarding this one, when you levelled the cabinets by tying them to the wall, doesn’t that tilt them up? Don’t you then need to shim under the front edge of the kickboard to support them?

Wes, great video. Thank you. I have that same saw, and I had the same issue where my saw was a 1/16 lower than the extension wings. It was driving me crazy. I took extreme care to get that dimension correct. I finally realize that the rubber feet would compress slightly when I screwed the saw to the base.

Nice build, but how about if you need to remove the miter saws extension fence?

Hi...the extension fence is permanently attached for stability, no need to remove it. Thanks for watching, Wes

Thanks for another nice video Wes. Gotta say stop buying from Amazon, its rare anymore to find anything cheaper on Amazon and it will only get worse as they gain more and more market share and put you local businesses of business. They are usually higher than a local store on most items now but, the youngsters don't know anything but ordering from Amazon.

I want to thank you Wes that you keep it real. There is soo much out there that have become swayed by sponsors, that tell us that we need to buy all of this expensive equipment to become a good wood worker, instead of encouraging us that practice is what will make us good wood workers. We do need the right to for the job, but we do not need EVERY tool to do the job. You are an inspiration to me.

Great video. I am in the process of organising my work cabin and a saw station has on my mind. Anything to make life easier. I may recess my saw to the level of what ever bench I build. I found out yesterday the saw is 22 years old and I have been fighting with long pieces for that long, what was I thinking. You have given me some Ideas and I am glad you are still practicing your mistakes. At this stage of my life I should have a Degree in them.

I know that there will be no stress on the in-feed portion of your miter saw station, but why did you use regular wood glue on two pieces of melamine? Contact cement or epoxy would actually bind those surfaces together while wood glue will not.

He said he followed the recommendation of a friend, who is a high end builder. Really surprised that guy didn’t have and recommend Festool. I was just wondering if there was more to it.
