This video showcases a Sonic Generations mod called the Classic Sonic Improvement Mod 7.0 by Showin. This huge update overhauls Classic Sonic in many ways such as updating his model to match Classic Sonic's look from the promotional Sonic Generations CGI trailers while also giving off Greg Martin Sonic vibes (imo), Updating Classic Tails, Classic Knuckles and Classic Metal Sonic models to more match the Japan Classic Sonic art style, revamped physics, Super Peel out and Drop Dash abilities added, configuration options and more!

This mod is so cool! I especially love adding Knuckles to the beginning of Sky Sanctuary to match the original. The one thing I wish they'd done was add Classic Amy for her Sky Sanctuary mission to match the ones with Tails and Knuckles, but even without her, this mod is still so awesome!
Here's something funny, Knuckles does the same pointing animation at the start of Sky Sanctuary as he does in the original level. The same one that made Cybershell lose his mind.

@@Shippingsucks If you ask me, although most of the Character models like Knuckles, Motobug, Buzz Bomber, Crabmeat, Lander, and Grabber, have impressive classic models (though Classic Knuckles' gloves doesn't have the same quality as his Modern counterpart), I thought FolksyWig has a more impressive Classic Sonic character mod, and even has better "Footwheel" and "Peelout" animations, with the later being more animated. Glad to know this mod has skin support, because I thought FolksyWig has the better looking Sonic and Tails.

42:52 When comparing this pose with the one in the base game, it really makes one wonder what happened and how the base game got it so wrong.
There's a bit more model breaking I think. Showin made the hand model much larger to make it look like it was jumping towards the screen, whereas the main game's model remains the same size throughout.

This mod is AWESOME, but I have the problem when I activate the Direct3d11 mod (a mod that is needed) it causes the game to stay on a black screen, a shame...

I know it’s very unlikely but if only this is what we could have redone for Generations Remaster to look for Classic.
The classic knuckles added is impressive
Without a doubt, the best Generations mod for me, it adds more essence of the classics, I would only ask that they put Classic Amy and that they can be seen in the World Menu (and as a small suggestion to improve Super Sonic a bit)
All we need now is playable Knuckles and Tails playable with their movesets
Finally they added Classic Sonic to Sonic Generations!

See, this is what Sonic 4 should've been. This should be the focus of Sonic's "mainline games." I like the open-zone, adventure style games and they should still be developed (along with a new Sonic R: boost-style game❤). However, Sonic's core gameplay is side-scrolling, highspeed platforming with momentum based physics. That's his bread and butter and that should be the primary focus of most of Sonic's games.
Its his origins but it isn’t his core. Sonic has changed so much he doesn’t have one set gameplay style
@@aigeneratedwauigi2696 it is his core. That gameplay style has consistantly worked for sonic sense it's inception. Mania was proof of that. It's changed because sonic team hadn't polished the 3D gameplay and experimented with other styles, which is fine, but they didn't have a focus. Especially after the Sonic 06 fiasco.
So basically, Sonic only works if he's stuck in the past with no improvements?

Wdym “ALL classic characters”? This mod only adds Classic Knuckles. All classic characters would have to include Amy, The Chaotix, Mighty, Ray, etc.

Meanwhile modern classic sonic is brighter blue, his body is literally a circle and most of the time he looks angry for no exact reason. It almost looks like the m. classic tries to mimic himself from the past but always fails
@@M3T4LBLU3 you realize the lighter shade of blue is to difference him from modern sonic. Without it, they would look way to similar, I’m unsure how fans haven’t figured this out. Also classic sonics colors have never really even been consistent anyways.

The original Generations' physics already did not work with the levels, seeing how they had to implement tons of scripts for it to not break.
