I have to keep it real because I don't know how else to be, that's why you have to put up with all the ummms and arrgghhhs and my mistakes. I think it's important to show the day to day flying of an average PPL in the UK.

Hi Terry, I’m the bloke who arranges the fly in at Heveningham and also I’m the AGCS. lovely to see this. I usually advise first timers to watch Jodel Flyers films about the arrival, but if it’s ok with you I’ll add this one too. It can get incredibly busy, the weather let us down this year, but I normally expect up to 110 movements per day. The airfield team all reckon this is the best weekend of their year. Next year is already planned, we’re just waiting on final date confirmation.

I find the videos interesting in ways other GA RUclips content isn't because it is all just about how GA can be fun and doesn't need to be anything else. There's no fake hype, you show the reasons people could and should fly GA. Trips like this and the ones to France etc are fantastic, just as much as the ones showing new and interesting places to visit that most people won't have heard of.

As an hourly aircraft renter, I like living vicariously through people who can use their airplane to go somewhere further, stay overnight, see the sights, fly somewehere else, etc etc. All my logbook entries practically start and end with the same aerodrome in Poland. I do a couple of touch and goes here and there and come back.
There's not a huge amount of content of people touring Europe, comparing the differences between flying over various countries. I think the Flying Reporter went to Croatia once or something similar, but I didn't come across much more of that.
No worries if that's not something you're interested in; the content centred around the UK is really entertaining as is

But what makes the difference for me is: first you seem like a genuine, smart and nice guy, Someone I’d like to have a beer with. Second, you show the ambiguity in flying. Answering why i watch - i rarely get time to play flight sim, let alone get a licence or afford the costs. It's great just riding along wherever you go, always an experience whether things go bad or good.

I'm watching because it's a way of flying vicariously, as I've had some experience of flying in light aircraft and gliders (limited training in both 40 years ago) but don't fly myself. Also the production quality is very good, you have a friendly and relaxed presenting style and for a change this is not a US flying video.

Also, i get an insight into ATC and other RT which i guess will be very important in my training. Please keep up the good work. Cheers Greg

Although the video is calm and relaxing the slightly bad weather made me pretty anxious lol
I would have loved to see more of that Spitfire airshow, it looked awesome!
I also would have loved to see the landing at the end of the return trip
Note: I think RUclips recommended me this video because I watched some Flight Simulator videos recently. I watched this eating oval beans (don't know the word in English but I think it's pretty obvious) and ham. Randomly. Made for a nice viewing. Pretty landscape. But still a little anxious lol

Another cracking video Terry an interesting place and scenario.
The nearest we had to that - although the runway is permanent - is Badminton, but I don't think they have fly-ins now due to an accident in the past. I met, the quiet but charming, Gary Numan there in the past too (1980s). I've flown in once since, a cheeky sideslip approach 😄😄✌️👍
It would be interesting to see how your costs compare with 3A FW microlights and the new 600kg categories etc. Eg fuel burn on an EV97 would be about 3.5-4 gallons of Mogas an hour?
Keep up the good work 👍😊✌️💜

As always a lovely video - and what a great place! Am curious though - watching your pre-take off actions, do you also include a full pre-take off brief? This is something I now do every time, but I never used to, probably not until I did my full IR, when my instructor drilled it into me. It kind of spring loads you for any trouble should it occur and keeps the vital actions fresh in the brain. Btw never wonder why people like your stuff. It's bloody good!

Would love to get into flying and would be great to see how you go about it, with costs what it costs in the UK (have watched a fair few US private pilots/bush pilots) and seems it’s more expensive and possibly harder here in the UK than it is out there.
