yeah, imo all you rlly need for upper body is pullups and OHP/Handstand pushups and then some isolation work at the end (such as forearm movements, bicep curls, etc...)
Forearms are underrated. Both in terms of usefulness and looks. It's good to train because it helps get more out of other exercises when your forearms aren't giving out before the muscles you're actually targeting and having strong forearms helps prevent elbow injuries. And at the end of the day it's also never a bad thing that one of the parts that most easily visible is well developed. Still, be careful to not waste time on doing isolated exercises for each muscle group if you don't need to.
Yeah you build up pretty quick. Two cents, I think it's more comfortable if you flip it around and do the curls backwards. Just back up to a preacher so you have somewhere easy to set it... If you try it
This channel is a gem. I mean for starters like me, I surely want my workout to be as effective and efficient as it can be. And what else is better than scientific-based approaches? I mean everything in life is always better with it.
It’s good that the extensor work was noted as optional, they’re not prone to getting big as they’re stabilizing muscles. Focusing on curls don’t really work them, but being asked to stabilize during pronated curls does - so wrist extensions afterwards does give them a wee more.
They are a must if you have some elbow issues. Forearm training has helped reduce the pain and tenderness in my elbows when doing any push or pulling movements. Push it gives thick muscular forearms
I do wrist curls because if I don’t my wrists themselves feel weak honestly. I was getting really bad wrist pain before I started training them directly 😂
I would recommend training forearms directly because it is going to help a lot in lifting more weight with your back and biceps and improve your grip strength by a lot in general
@@pnwfisher2144 ruclips.net/video/p3Lh-I6JRhM/видео.htmlsi=TxOrDIcUf3txHVM4&t=24 I do remember Sean talking about curls and extension being dangerous in the past. He seems to have changed his mind on them.
It’s better to do the curl with your wrist hanging off of a bench because it gives you a better stretch which I’m sure we all know nowadays is better for hypertrophy.

I looked at your fitness plan but the minimum age was 16 and I was wondering why because it would be nice to have a plan since I am a new lifter at 13
God loves you all🙏
Im new to training forearms but im trying to increase grip strength for football. Will you recommend these?

I guess Sean being critical to Noel Deyzel (in a long video) truly brings a new personality in him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The video cut out after 3 seconds so I'm gonna assume that's the best exercise
Bro Sean’s sense of humor is goat level 😂
Intro exercise is actually my favorite one
😂
NNN is almost over boys, better get pumped 😂😂
Ima look like Randy on that episode of South Park
Been doing the 1st one all my life. No improvement yet.

You have to raise the intensity!

Try to do like 3 to 4 sets each day bro. I've done it when I was stuck at home and now I'm freaking Popeye over here.
the intro got me wheezing my ass off on a bench 😂
The beginning 💀😂
What do you mean?
Hahahahahaahah, your serious face makes everything funnier. Love your sense of humor!
HE’S BEATING HIS pre-workout… whoops false alarm
Tried the wrist curls as shown, 100% recommended. Felt incredible compared to all other forearm flexor exercises.
Love this guy. Straight to the point.
A few seconds in the video, he already showed us the way
He had us in the first half ngl 😅
Also consider doing pullups and deadhangs after hitting upper body , helps a ton
yeah, imo all you rlly need for upper body is pullups and OHP/Handstand pushups and then some isolation work at the end (such as forearm movements, bicep curls, etc...)
Your physique is insane
I thought I intered the wrong video at first😅
Direct training of any muscle is absolutely necessary for maximum results which is most goals.
Holy Fuck Sean, you got us all in the first half.
Not the beginning 😭
absolutely....the first exercise is the best..., the fact that it can be done in front of a laptop is a plus
The intro was wild 😂
Deadhangs are pretty good as well they train your forearms as well as stretch ur arms, shoulders, and back
Forearms are underrated. Both in terms of usefulness and looks. It's good to train because it helps get more out of other exercises when your forearms aren't giving out before the muscles you're actually targeting and having strong forearms helps prevent elbow injuries.

My God this man's doing 115 on BB wrist curls😮😮😮
You can get to 3x10 at 155 pretty easily if u do it frequently
Yeah you build up pretty quick. Two cents, I think it's more comfortable if you flip it around and do the curls backwards. Just back up to a preacher so you have somewhere easy to set it... If you try it
Agreeing with other commenters it's actually pretty easy to go heavy on the forearms since they can handle a fuckton of weight
Behind the back wrist curls with cables is my go to
That start 😂😂😂
I was with you for the first 5 seconds

Zottman bicep curls covers all of those muscles at the same time. Saves time. ❤

Doing the first one behind the back helps squeeze the wrist better for flexors
You got me. Subscribed.
LOOOOOL. I love this dude.
Can you do a video on wrist workouts please? I'm getting over a wrist injury and don't want another one!
Pair that with a hand gripper your forearms become massive
Lol, the beginning had me rolling on the floor.
Watching the initial part, I thought my forearm training is going universal .😂
It’s good that the extensor work was noted as optional, they’re not prone to getting big as they’re stabilizing muscles. Focusing on curls don’t really work them, but being asked to stabilize during pronated curls does - so wrist extensions afterwards does give them a wee more.
I discovered the best forearm workout ever when I was 13!
He had us in the first half not gonna lie😂
The forearm workout in the first 3 seconds is backed by science 😂
They are a must if you have some elbow issues. Forearm training has helped reduce the pain and tenderness in my elbows when doing any push or pulling movements. Push it gives thick muscular forearms
Sean is dope 🤣
The straight face like you putting on socks before you go to work😂
Simple advice 👌 solid
Just do grip strength exercies like deadlift or farmer carries. It builds two sides of the forearms very well
usually not enough for someone who wants to have bigger forearms than arms
Not all the muscles in the forearm are for gripping, so you need grip and also wrist flexion and extension training.
Thank you im really trying to build my forearms so will be adding these to my routine and seeing how things turn out.
Alright hands down best intro I’ve seen on a workout tutorial
Weighted pull ups 🗿 🗿 🗿
Why did you recommend against wrist curls in the articles on your site but focus on them in this video?
The very first one exercise is the golden one. 😅👌
Grab your pre workout and let’s Go! 💯
For me honestly this is my Second smart bodybuilder of all time.
I only do the 00:01 - 00:02 workout over and over for about 30 minutes straight, and my gains have been bananas!!! Thank you, sir!
Im so happy i seem to have made good choices with my exercises for once without being a gym expert.
I do wrist curls because if I don’t my wrists themselves feel weak honestly. I was getting really bad wrist pain before I started training them directly 😂
Thank you uncle Sean!
I would recommend training forearms directly because it is going to help a lot in lifting more weight with your back and biceps and improve your grip strength by a lot in general

😂😂😂😂😂 Sean c'mon genious video start
A solide forearms are always something good to see, just like sollide calves.
Nice first couple seconds bro💯
You also should build the supinator and pronator which is responsible for supination and pronation
He was adding in that extra protein in the first few seconds
The opening to this killed me. I do all of those options, plus I also do reverse grip curls.
😂😂😂😂 bro The beginning of the video😅😅😅 That's how you start your workout
Thank you I follow you on RUclips, please make more videos like these.
Hammer curl is really good as well plus it works your bicep!

im sticking with the first one
How long between rests for the workout you showed in the first 5 seconds?
As many sets until you hit the ghost rounds
No rest till failure.
Big biceps and forearms I look like a master debater
And then for super-specific, odd forearm isolations do pronation and supination, then rising and dumping (add/abduction) of the wrist too
Man the forearm pump is different, I always feel the pump here more than anywhere els
The crazy part is my forearms look great all around. What I need to build up is the main bicep head that gives the peaks.
That opener is gold! Lol
He was not shaking the bottle, he eas filling it 💀
