Yeah it's all about HOPE in the end. NF is all about LOVE. NF is all about RELATIVITY. NF is all about LIFE. NF is an UMBRELLA in the heavy and devastating STORM called LIFE. I’m on the journey with you guys! I look forward to this upload every day! I watch it on break at work. It helps get me through the last half of my day! Thanks guys
Love your convos, keep it up :) That chorus for some reason reminds me of a quote from CS Lewis: “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
This is such a beautiful song and is one of my favorite NF songs. iThe Circle of Life is a sad, happy, beautiful and ugly thing.... “If you want love, you’re gonna have to go through the pain” “If you want love, you’re gonna have to learn how to change” “If you want trust, you’re gonna have to give some away”
When I first heard this song I legit cried, and I still get teary eyed every time I hear it. If I am holding my daughter while I hear it I almost breakdown. Such a beautiful song.
It is really enjoyable to listen these conversations that you two have around NF's music. I'm already dreading the end of this journey though then there is also a lot of music to listen that is not part of the essentials of NF so to speak. So maybe we get those after this...and the mixtape that is coming.
As a father of a now adult daughter I can really relate to this message. I used to say I couldn't wait till she got older so I wouldn't worry as much. You find out the worries just change. Life has a funny way of reflecting things. I'm glad she is so much more responsible than I was at her age 🤣
Love your reactions. Keep it up. If you skip a song, please still listen to it on your own. The ones without videos are also fire and all tie in together.
I have seen a lot of nf reactions and I really like you guys ! I am genuinely thankful for you guys and your amazing and honest reactions . Keep up the great work !!
In 2007 I broke my neck. I'm now paralysed from the neck down and ventilated 24/7. This song had a massive impact on my recovery and journey back to enjoying life. Loving your reactions and feeling like you are letting is into a little part of your relationship which is beautiful!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder just as success is different to those who know it isn’t necessarily money, fame, or materialistic things. Success can be continuous personal growth, realizing your family (not necessarily the society’s definition of family) is gold, knowledge is key & happiness is a must.
Life is a journey. NF shares his life through his music..it’s hard to find a throwaway song of his..even the hype songs have real lyrics about what’s he’s going through or have been through on a personal level. “The journey” is his music catalogue in which you get to know NF on a lil more personal level..unlike a stereotypical artist that raps about things that deflect attention from what is really going on in their life and what makes them human/relatable
We are wired for relationship. Like Solomon says, there’s nothing new under the sun. The only difference is new people waking up on earth to face the same struggles that humanity has faced since the beginning. Great reaction guys!
So glad we have again established that there is indeed a coin. HAHA! Like you said, this song hits right in the feels and gives one pause to think about their life. Then again, that could be applied to nearly every song by NF... Well done again. Thank you!
It's been said that time seems to go by so slow as a child because every experience is new and we take in every detail. As we grow older our brain has seen it before so time flies by. As always great reaction video!
This is the first song I ever heard of NF's. I only cut part of the chorus and then my friend changed the station. I appreciated the lyrics so much that I wrote them down so that when I got home I could Google the song. That was 3 years ago. Today I could say he is my all-time favorite musician.
Beautiful song with a great message for all of us. Love and relationships aren't always going to be easy and it takes a lot of work and effort! Your open and honest reaction and thoughts about this are adding to the the message, it's good to hear your share on this topic and it can help people for sure 💙✨
Pain is a blessing it ain't a curse because then you know your still living. But to much pain can make you numb and to little can make you dull and unsure of if your living or not.
This Album adds to the journey his change in perspective and the way he thinks hence "Perception". The song itself is closely related to his other songs "You're Special" which he wrote to his wife who was only a girl he liked at the time. In that song he speaks about how he'd change and how he'd do what he needs to keep her. And here we listen to him opening up of how he's approaching love. As he was a very closed person so he wouldn't get hurt again, which is why I love the song.
I think to obtain that until death do us part relationship you have to know how to meet in the middle, learn to get through the hard times and know with love there is sometimes pain and things are not always happy, and as people get older and relationships grow there will be changes and you have to learn to change with the growth of yourself and the relationship without compromising who you are or who your partner is. When children are involved they grow and have different stages of life and they change and will not always be that newborn and you have to with your children learn to balance the good and bad and learning this and understanding there are changes, ups and downs the love you want will get stronger and unshakable. I could be wrong but that was my perception. Great reaction guys
Thank you for your reaction. I have enjoyed 'your journey' thru Nates journey in the music. Yall do a great job to get it. Keep it Real with the NF Real Music
In regards to the Journey I think this shows that he's starting to thaw. The Pain, Anger, and Fear are still there but he remembers his mom fondly in this one, which is a contrast to previous songs. Probably the biggest thing, which you touched on, is the realization that relationships require work, fine tuning, etc. and that he's going to need to let his guard down to let people in. Trusting AFTER you've been hurt is really tough. Does make you really think.
This got to be my favorite song by NF. I love the emotions in it and that it is so positive and kind of negative At the same time. Closely followed by I miss the days (you should be excited for that one!)
Talking about the journey. Before this you reacted to Let You Down. The meaning of that song is him letting all of the things he wanted to do/dreams he wanted to pursue die and he lived a life but he sat staring at the body of water reflecting on what life could have been and he feels that he let himself down for not chasing those dreams. With this song he’s now speaking from that old man wisdom(represented in Let You Down) on his perception of life and giving himself & the listeners life advice. So this is really about his relationship with his wife and how he’s had to grow and change and become a better version of himself in order to truly experience that love. He’s had to work through his trauma which is painful to genuinely find who he needs to be in his relationship. so beautiful. The trust line had me in tears bc god idk how to trust and until I can actually give my trust... I’ll neber truly have my partners trust. RIGHT TO THE HEART
