I assumed that a creature born of the black goo could not be affected by it, but I was wrong, it seems to further exelerate the evolutionary functions of organisms, but negatively impacts the xenomorph and deacon to the point they can barley live, while a human, embryo, worm, or sperm actually benefit (in a way) from the mutations by becoming stronger and more powerful.

I don't know if you've read it but I think a variation of the black goo was in the darkhorse novel labyrinth as a black mold that was killing and weakening the aliens, to the point where aliens have to physically put a hacehugger on someone as they are too weak to do it alone.

Perhaps the original intention from David was for it to reproduce via eggmorphing. But somehow the species evolves, perhaps by the black goo or perhaps an accidental genetic cross over from Shaw or something, to where it creates its queen system of reproduction. I think this has some potential if the idea that David somehow becomes the space jockey (which I still don't buy for the moment). As the species evolved passed its creator's intention (sort of like david did), it now decides to kill its own creator in the style of the cycle that the last couple films have been pushing.
All depends on whether or not the black goo can stand up to acid. I could see it getting through the skin and then stopped dead by the acid blood. But bacteria can survive in acid (stomach) so the black goo probably wont be stopped that easy. With black goo it seems dosage would dictate the result. A tiny drop and it probably starts mutating slightly like Shaw's man in Prometheus. An entire vile and it will probably break up into xeno-DNA mulch, which might adapt into a more complex organism that reproduces with spores like in Covenant. If the xenomorph gets second-hand spored, who the hell knows what that would make. An inner-jaw burster?

All depends on whether or not the black goo can stand up to acid. I could see it getting through the skin and then stopped dead by the acid blood. But bacteria can survive in acid (stomach) so the black goo probably wont be stopped that easy. With black goo it seems dosage would dictate the result. A tiny drop and it probably starts mutating slightly like Shaw's man in Prometheus. An entire vile and it will probably break up into xeno-DNA mulch, which might adapt into a more complex organism that reproduces with spores like in Covenant. If the xenomorph gets second-hand spored, who the hell knows what that would make. An inner-jaw burster?
