- Starting this project around a year and half ago, needless to say I was ready to drive this Jeep. Not being a paying job, just a project I have had to make time when available but this was the day! Still has some tinkering to do but it all worked like I had hoped it would. I'll add all the videos up to this point below. Hope you enjoy!!

I am a 100% certified LS fanboy, but this is so much better than just plopping another LS into another TJ. Love to see someone put a build together with what they've got, rather than running their credit card up online
One of my biggest disappointments was going through all the trouble of swapping an LS in the early 2000s before anyone else, only to find out that a 93'' wheelbase wants less than 200hp before the rear wants to trade places with the front. Like bringing a bazooka to a knife fight. I called it the White Knuckler.
That build is gonna be beautiful when your done, i love a tj

Im generally not a chrysler fan other than jeeps but those 318's run great.

Great job man! I absolutely love the 5.2 & 5.9 Jeeps, so this was super fun seeing one swapped into a wrangler and driving!! Million times better sounding than a LS V8 as well!

Weird you say the 5.2 is scrap metal. They’re not as common is a better statement. Plus if you’re not selling them it means they’re holding up. I’ve owned quite a few and all had 200k+
Actually think Dex means to emphasize the 5.2 and 5.9 rarely fail, so for him they aren’t good sellers. Calling them scrap only because he has no market for used 5.2 and 5.9. Maybe he will correct his description in future videos.

i have put a TJ shifter plate in an XJ, so theoretically you could grab an XJ auto shifter plate and bolt it in there for your PRNDL and not need to do any custom sealing work on the trans tunnel

My 93 grand wagoneer had a 318 with 200k miles, runs great
Mine has 120K and runs like a champ.
5.2 is a great engine.

try a the spacer (under the air cleaner on top of throttle body)off the top of a throttle body chevy 88-94 350 they work really good for raising the top hat you were playing with.
TJ 318 is king 👑👍🏻🇦🇺.

I wish you could send the 5.2 v8 s to Australia instead of the scrap metal them.
The 318 has a good following here in Australia with the small to medium sized dodge trucks.
Aluminium is for planes and coke cans.

i dont think he has been scraping them, i think he was saying that he just sells them for scrap metal prices (meaning, because they dont sell many because they are very dependable and people dont need to replace them often, he is just selling the dirt cheap to people)

Hey it's beautiful back in the 60s and 70s they'd swap in 327s 350s but some enjoyed a Ford 289 302 351s..... AND man the ford's always sounded better to me but that dodge 5.2 and 5.9 are FRICKEN MUSIC JUST RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE AND THAN ROAR AND ROAR DOWN THE ROAD 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Love 318 magnum had many Dakotas with them tire frying torque for days spun a many of donuts daily drive a 98 5 speed 4x4 Dakota now and the reason you have sold many of them is because they never give up I’ve only seen one that was hurt once and it had almost 300,000 miles on it

Hey dex so I changed my cps with a brand new oem mopar one and I still have the problem of it stalling and the fuel relay ticking I reset the computer and it started up super good what could it be
Aye Boss, Any chance you have some 95' XJ Motor Mount Bolts laying around that you could throw up on your website, Specifically the 3 that go into the block. my passanger side bolts snapped in the block, getting them out. Unless you have a better recommendation.
