With her latest album KRUNK, violinist Lilit Tonoyan delves into the world of Armenian folk music. At the heart of this album is the eponymous "Krunk" (The Crane) - a pilgrim song - which can be regarded as one of the most well-known folk songs amongst Armenian-speaking people worldwide. She interprets her own tender arrangements of traditional folk songs in varying formations - together with cellist Davit Melkonyan, duduk player André Meisner and percussionist Giuseppe Mautone.
