The artwork on VHS is always next level. Used to love buying VHS tapes of movies I loved just for the cover art.
Yup it was way better back then than on most DVD releases.

It’s Pat, is fantastic I did a review on that’s not that long ago. I absolutely love the silliness of this movie. You’re right there’s a lot of sensitive people in the world today that would have problems with watching this movie especially if it was made today.

Awesome collection! I can’t tell you how many of these VHS I used to own before I thought I would migrate to DVD and sometimes never did! How sad but how great that you were smart enough to hold on to them. Also, thanks for giving me some great Christmas party tips! I can’t wait to pick up some Stuff to serve to my guests. Awesome collection! Vhs were my childhood, but i had mostly cartoon shorts like donald duck, looney tunes etc. When i saw dvd's for the first time i was mesmarized how good it looked!
Yup, picture quality is much better on DVD. I do think they usually have better art on the VHS box covers though.

All of the horror movies you reviewed were spot on. As a teenager I loved seeing the campy and creepy horror movies. Some VHS movies you should watch for is Blue Monkey, Body Parts, The Hitcher and Hot Dog (this last one is a great comedy ski movie.) It features Playboy's Playmate Shannon Tweed definitely showing a lot skin).
Nice, never actually seen Body Parts. I've never even heard of Blue Monkey, sounds interesting. I have the Hitcher and like it. I actually show Hot Dog the movie very quickly in the video, that is a classic!
Ski Patrol is also a really good ski movie. I even like Ski School as well.
Great video dude, like a stroll down memory lane for a bunch of us viewers who grew up in the 90's. I would add Kentucky Fried and Fast Food to your Hamburger, Hot Dog and Beer. Crawlspace with Klaus Kinski is a documentary just ask his daughter. 👍
Thanks! I will have to look into Klaus more, they should make a documentary about him. Also instead of Beer I could have used the movie Six Pack.

I also have "Futurekick" on vhs. I bought it from a videorental store in Spain😄
I have copied some tapes to my computer, so now when I watch those movies, I don't have to worry about tape getting stuck inside vcr.
Awesome! I don't worry too much about tapes getting stuck, it only has happened a handful of times for me. and yes, Don "The Dragon" Wilson movies are actually pretty good for what they are.

Im a massive fan of collecting physical media and love my blu ray and dvd collection, but there is just something about VHS too that makes it seem fun to want to collect for but would take up so much space. its likely just the nostalgia factor though; my favourite place in the world as a kid and the one business i dreamed of owning back then was a video store. i miss those trips to rent movies man.
Yup the amount of space they take up gets crazy after a while. I am very selective at this point what I add to the collection. And yes video stores were awesome. Miss renting tapes and I also miss renting video games.
Buried Alive is very underrated!

Great collection,Blazing Saddles is one of my all time favorites.and Airborne is a great movie.but did you seen House Arrest,where the parents held hostage by their kids.it's like Home Alone but with parents.it's a great movie.

1. I have Pat's autograph. Julia Sweeney toured the country signing autographs as Pat back in the early 90's at pet stores. Very weird, but whatever. I framed it. 😂

That's funny she signed it as Pat. I do have the Frankenhooker DVD but the VHS was one I never ran across in the wild. I do remember it from the video store though, it had a talking box. Wish I had that!

Two other very good movies with Rutger Hauer that I highly recommend are Hobo with a Shotgun and Escape from Sobibor.

Someone else may have already said but the Bronx movies are a trilogy, Bronx Warriors, Escape From The Bronx, and The New Barbarians. I own the 3 pack blu ray set.

I wish we didn't have the plastic boxes for our vhs. The carton boxes are artistic much nicer. Also the vhs over here have always subtitles and most times they have strange translations what gets on our nerves (still better than dubbed.) .

Yes that does sound annoying! Yup I like the Mortal Kombat song. And yes I find the same movie with different titles all the time, like I have a version of Phenomena called Creepers.
dude that is an awesome crime zone poster!!! i have a funny story about that.. i spent 3 years trying to figure out who painted that, and one day i noticed the signature "craig" on the guy's shirt sleeve.. and then looked at this picture someone painted of my brother that also had the same "craig" signature... it turns out my little brother's best friend's dad who painted it (craig nelson). so the whole time i was thinking it was someone in italy and it turns out it was someone who i had already met before and lived like 5 miles away 🤣🤣

@@FleaMarketFalcon oh but i did message him on facebook about the crime zone cover, asking how he did it, and he was telling me the supplies he used and stuff but the funniest part is he told me thats HIM on the cover holding the gun 🤣🤣. he said he tweaked a darth vader mask and held up a squirt gun and used that as the reference to paint

Some interesting VHS... I enjoy the earlier G.D.Toro films like Cronos, the Watchmaker and Pans Labyrinth. You skipped past the Hollywood version of The Ring, I really like the Japanese versions: the sound effects and imagery are great. Found some old Nirvana concert VHS in the loft will have to get a player. Thanks!
Awesome! Never seen the Watchmaker, will have to check it out. I've never seen Ringu either! I use to have another Nirvana one but can't find it. It's called Live / Tonight / Sold Out. It's really good!
I admire such a large collection man. Do you have one of those tape rewinders? I use to have one. Do you also find it hard to figure out what your gonna watch with such a large collection?
Thank you! And I just watch whatever I feel like at the moment. Like if something pops into my head i want to rewatch and I know I have it I will put it on. I also watch stuff I haven't seen before that is streaming and that can be harder to choose.

Broken vhs tapes are fixable with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's people like myself are fixing them in my house

many of the 80s horror movies had such nice artwork but i collected 80s comedy movies, they ran 24/7 and still do but now digital 40 years later. i wish i kept my massive collection. why did i trhow out all my vhs and commondore 64, nintendo, game watches, legos, all that crap i had back then. so stupid.
That is tough to hear, at least you can still watch most of it on free sites like RUclips and Tubi,
I was just going thru my vhs tapes. I found a sealed 1st edition horror tape The Stuff and a sealed Frankenstein by Burt Reynolds. I have more but rather not say but I am send them all to get graded. So fingers crossed I need retirement money

i saw leather face 3 on vhs locally once but passed on it saw it was french dead or alive is eally neat one i havent seen on vhs goten it for dvd harder to find horror locally for vhs or dvd would need go to lot more places than goodwill

Yup, that was the one! There was also one in I think Clinton Hill, in an old warehouse, that I use to have good luck in (but not on vhs).

if you find sealed tapes do you just unseal them or is better to keep them sealed i wanna unseal my sleepwalkers so bad
I sometimes open them to watch if I don't have a used copy. You should open the sleepwalkers if you want to watch it, I don't think it's one that is worth tons sealed. But if you thrift hunt a lot you will probably come across a used VHS or dvd if you don't mind waiting.

and just a heads up the version i saw was on vhs in saudi so i dont know if the film has any nudity since im 99% sure it was a clean version we have

Great video everything proven vhs tapes don't stop playing at all it's your VCR player itself stops playing but not the vhs tape itself and people like myself are fixing a break vhs movies with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's everything proven people are lying people now days about blue ray disc movies doesn't get scratche up or damage they do to I have some myself don't play y they are damage blue ray disc movies more like a DVDs when they get damage it doesn't play at all or sometimes it starts to lock up
